Hehe. Thanks Longinus that you have taken 4:3 under develop How was my basic 2.0 UI working on 4:3 resolutions ? Was it just too small or something else gone wrong with it too ?


Hmm ... A dark side of DaimonUI eh ? .. too bad my fav colour is violet so well.. let's see if I wanna feel black after Christmas and maybe, maybe I do an optional colour theme.

awesome work as usual Diamon. Now if Turbine will fix the ui problem when switching from fullscreen to windowed I would be using this ui for sure. If turbine ever gets that fixed, what do you think about a nice slate gray or black marble color scheme. I'm just not a big fan of purple!

You even design for my resolution!

@longinus: package it together and upload it as an addon to Daimon's ui for everyone to use!

well, i maid a fix & now daimon ui v2.0 works fine under 1280*1024... realy nice UI, using it from v1.0 & realy like it. thank you, daimon, for good UI!

PS if some one is interested i can give fixed ui =)

I am using 1680x1050 widescreen resolution. I just prefer a tad bit bigger original quickbar buttons.

can you provide a screen capture so i could get a better picture of the problem.

I am guessing that you're using smaller resolution than 1680.

The main quickslotbar is unfortunetaly bound to the whole main panel so when you scale the main panel smaller also your main quicklosts shrink. There is little I can do to help with that I am afraid :/

Everythign looks great, thanks. However, I am having some trouble with scaling the original toolbar. It seems locked to a certain small size and only the other toolbars will get bigger when scaled.

Sorry that I haven't been around for sometime.

I know what you mean and it's a bit tricky to get to the fellowship options. There is a small area though that can be right-clicked. It's at the curve where the chat area is supposed end, just top of the bag buttons at the top (if the vital panels have been placed accordingly). I know it isn't the best solution as you have to know it - wonder why I haven't mentioned it before, sorry.

As what comes to DaimonUI I got a bit bored developing it. But now that I bought a new monitor I'm going to do a bit improved version of my UI yet again. Bad news is that it's only going to be available for widescreen (you might be able to use it with 4:3 monitors too, but I am not able to test it nor do I have interest to make multiple versions atm).

Well i waited for a reply for 10 days, meh, whatever. I cant see a way around this problem except going to a simular UI that doesnt have it. Anyway, cheers, you have a lot of talent and will go far, good luck to you.

Nice work with the UI but I have a question. With your UI you have the avatar covered by the chat window, so how do i leave a fellowship by clicking my avatar and using the context menu? As far as I know this is the only way to leave a fellowship, please correct me if am wrong. With my avatar covered I have to use ctl\ to move it into view then i can click it. If there is a typed command to leave a group/fellowship then great but i dont know of anything like that in LotrO. If you still read these posts I would love to get a reply to my problem as asking the leader to boot me is a bit off.

Hi elegiacwang.

I haven't got the opportunity to test it on widescreen as I have old 4:3 crt display. It should basically work if you just move the UI Scaling sliders in game and try out which ratio would be suitable for your resolution. The problem with scaling is (particularly with widescreens) that the mainframe takes a large portion of your UI when using high resolutions.

If you could send a screencapture (use imageshack or similar service) I might give you a better tip or even fix it.

Daimon, I love this UI, but I can't really seem to get it working right on a widescreen. I admit, I'm new to LOTRO UI stuff, but I was wondering if there were any tips or if I'm just out of luck.
