I updated the plugin to version 2.0.3 which resolves the problem with the trigger windows. I also fixed the CA icon problems so they look nice now. The german translation has been updated and support for choosing which locale to use has been added. You shouldn't need to delete any settings files.

I've the same error if I want to edit the standard pots (those which you've to edit for the first time - poison, wound, desease, fear). It works only with morale and power.
Quote:
... Rings Online\Plugins\PengorosPlugins\Utils\Misc.lua:56: attempt to index local 's' (a nil value)
I found my translation error and it was quite a surprise! There are two lines in the de.lua, which I shouldn't touch:
Quote:
L["Options"] = "Optionen";
L["options"] = "optionen";
In german, both strings should be capitalized. If I change that, the plugin won't load and the standard command is written in the chat.
Quote:
usage: /buffbars options | log <enable|disable>
So I've to leave the small one as it is.

The size of the window can not be saved. Everytime I re-log, the window is small again and I've to resize it. Is this also caused by Turbine?

The client crashes if the new plugin option window is open and you unload one of the plugins, but this is an error produced by Turbine as I read in the comments. That's it! New translation is ready, so please give me an e-mail address were I can send it.

Deleting the config file from older versions did not fix problems with 2.0.2 for me.

However i still had the crash on logout after going back to 2.0.1 and could only fix it by deleting the config file written by 2.0.2 and redoing the config.

I tried adding a short if statement into the misc.lua file to check for nil and just return s if it it is nil. That got the Trigger config window to work, however the crash on logout bug is still there.

Using 2.0.1 for now with a brand new config file.

I have the same problems BuffBars 2.0.2...

When I hit "EDIT" button for triggers I get next error:
Plugins\PengorosPlugins\Utils\Misc.lua:56: attempt to index local 's' (a nil value)

The game crashes to desktop when logging out of a char.

It would be great if DOT tracking for mobs is added. If the game supports it I hope it would not be hard to add it as addition to Debuff/CC tracking that is handled together with CombatAnalysis plugin.

The crash is due to a bug with the plugin manager, you have to select a plugin that doesn't use the Options tab before logging out to avoid it apparently.

I just downloaded/tried new version and also get this error if I try to edit poison/wound/disease/fear (but not morale/power oddly):
Plugins\PengorosPlugins\Utils\Misc.lua:56: attempt to index local 's' (a nil value)

(I really hope we don't have to delete our saved setup again.)

I'm sorry I didn't test your question on the previous version Pengoros, it was the cappy Defending that I described, but that's moot now, as this version works as described (if I can edit here, I will).

unfortunately i have to report that buffbars 2.0.2 is very broken for me.
i cannot edit triggers for poison, disease, wound or fear (morale and power work). i get the following error message when clicking on the edit button (the window does not appear):

Plugins\PengorosPlugins\Utils\Misc.lua:56: attempt to index local 's' (a nil value)

also the game crashes to desktop when logging out of a char.
with version 2.0.1 everything worked except for blacklisting buffs/debuffs (after blacklisting one they were shown again after being reapplied).
I tried doing a clean reinstall of the plugin and it did not help.

The other problem i always had with all versions i tried so far is language. Buffbars is always using german language. This is weird because while i live in a country where we speak german, i use an english version of Windows, an english client and have everything set to english except the time/currency format and keyboard layout.

Sorry for having to be so negative on my first post here
I really do appreciate all the effort that went into the plugin. I love it and i could not play without it. Thanks to the developer for putting all the effort into it.

I've another problem: I added lots of strings to the de.lua, but there is a point where the plugin won't load anymore and just show "usage: /buffbars options | log <enable|disable>" (in german) in the chat window. Huh?!?

What can I do to prevent that? It happens with 1.2.2 and 2.x. It works with the shipped file, but there are plenty of translation strings missing. I checked the whole file five times and I don't find any syntax errors. HELP!

@RJFerret: The matching does a lower on everything so it shouldn't matter which case you enter the text in. If you'll notice when you reopen a trigger after having entered text with caps it will be all lower case. What buff specifically were you have a problem with?

I've release a fix that will hopefully resolve the problems that cropped up with the black/white lists and special character matching.

It's possible, but tricky, you need to know the name of the effect of the buff (like "Guardian's Ward" or cappy's "Defending" or burg's "Aiming").

Now create your new bar/slider/whatever and in Effect Triggers, remove anything listed there, then add a new one. In the Template dropdown, select Custom. In the Match Criteria Search, enter a word from the buff.

I've done his for all my characters, and it makes it a lot easier to keep things up optimally (not wastefully hitting another skill too soon, or leaving yourself without a benefit).

Thank you Pengoros for this nice plugin.

I'm trying to figure out (been trying since earlier versions) how to set up effect windows which only show 1 effect each. I.e. where I just specify 1 effect to be contained in that window, and which causes that window to be visible if present, without having to disable/ignore all the other possible effects. Those little 1-effect windows will be indicators for me which I can size and position, and are a lot more visible than the little icons below the character vitals.

Is it possible to do that? Just specify 1 effect per window and not have to ignore/blacklist all others?

Thanks again.

Thanks for the answer and your efforts!

I'll try to translate the file tomorrow and send the german one to you. Sorry for the delay, but working in shifts sometimes destroy your free time.

The matching was changed to create a more flexible system but seems to have broken it in other ways that weren't readily apparent in my testing. I'm working on a fix that will resolve the issues with blacklist and add trigger at which point it will work like it did before.

Is there another workaround than "%-" or perhaps "%:"? Why did it work before 2.0.0? What changed?

I found a bug where buffs with a "-" are not matching correctly. I'll be releasing a fix for it soon. A workaround is to edit the trigger and replace the "-" with a "%-".
Same with buffs that contain a colon " : "
