Kind of pisses me off when I have a stack of 50 of what used to be a 4-per-turn-in item that is now a 10-per-turn-in item. Yay for a 250% increase. Not.

Thanks for all your hard work on Daily Tasks. I find it invaluable!

From the release notes:

• Taskboards now have a unique icon on the radar instead of a quest ring. They will now be marked by a golden feather.
• Tasks across the game will now require only 10 trophies for completion, excepting special cases (like the Limlight Gorge.)

From the above I'd guess that an interim release would just set everything to 10 and worry about the exceptions later.

I have only played a little with a low level character after the update but it seems like every task in Bree, Lone lands and North downs needs 10 pieces to complete.. Is it like that everywhere or does it scale upward or something? Otherwise they seem to have made it extremely simple, both for themselves and you..

Even though I pre-ordered the RoR expansion, I never got a beta invite so that I could update and test DT before release. However, bsmorgan, who got into beta, has been kind enough to supply me with the details of the new tasks, so that I'll be ready to test it out on release and hopefully be able to publish an update the next day.

Update: This is going to take longer than expected. First, it took my 1/2 the day just to get logged in to play and then I found out that not only had they added a bunch of new tasks, they also changed many of the old ones, so now I need to go back and re-visit all the boards in the game.

I may release an interim update tomorrow, but the complete, verified version will take a while.

Unfortunately, there isn't an API feature that would support this. I'd like to make a "sell junk" button, but there is no API for vendors either.

VERY nice addition! I do that all the time, so this is very much appreciated.

Here's another idea (although I don't know whether the API would allow this). It would be nice to have a button that would lock all of the usable items and unlock all of those that are unusable. That would make it somewhat easier to sell the junk at a vendor without accidentally selling something that is usable.

The other day it occurred to me that a common DT action is to select the nearest task board, set the filter to complete and check to see if there are any tasks that can be turned in. So I got inspired and added a Check nearest Board button to make it a one-click process. It also tells you how far away it is.

Note: Location information isn't available when in an instance, so it won't work inside buildings, etc.

Thanks to Rathgar2, two bogus task entries were discovered in the list for Echad Dunann and have been removed. It still puzzles me how they got in there!

Spotted an error with these items:

DT: Known trophies for Echad Dunann(--) @ 50.6s,8.0w (Eregion)
DT: 0/15 [Broken Halberd] 38-42
74/ 8 [Studded Sword Sheath] 38-42

The rest of the quests @Echad Dunnan are 48-52, so I think you may have a typo on the lookup table. My lvl 40 Guardian was unable to turn in items.

Ooooooooo That should be an easy fix. I'll try that. I wonder if this may have been caused by using the character on a different system and running DT and then having the old char data not match. Or maybe not...

Again, an easy solution, I must not have it in the right directory, will double check.

The files should not be shared betwixt systems, unless I was being cheeky and just copying the whole folder over and then not remembering I did that. Thanx for the awesome plugin and your input! Will try the fixes tonight and report back.

EDIT:
I had a SPACE in the folder Name, I had "My Plugins" vs "MyPlugins", (I am a real BlockHead) also deleting the plugin data folders solved the other issue.

This error indicates a corrupted DailyTasks_Settings.plugindata file. The fix is to delete the file (located under the PluginData folder) and let DT recreate it.

In this case, it can't even find the plugin, so it has nothing to do with the character level. Are you using Plugin Manager? If its not listed there, its not installed in the right place.

My question with running multiple computers is whether files are being shares between them. Sharing the Plugins folder should be ok, but PluginData could have syncronization issues.

I just got back into the game and updated your fabulous Daily Tasks Plugin and have run into a very odd issue. I have just installed DailyTasks_2.6.4 and I run it on 6 toons on mutliple systems and 3 of the six won't load. I run all 6 of the toon at the same time on 3 different computers here is a breakdown of what works and the error msgs I get. Dunno if there is a simple solution but here goes.

DT Copy#1 Lvl 41 Guardian-Won't load. I get this:

DT Copy#2 Lvl 75 Captain-Loads fine. :-) So I know it works and is not a plugin error, just something to do with my system.

Seems to have an issue on characters lower level than 45. Any ideas? Should I delete some temporary file and reload the plugin? Again I do not think it is a issue with a bug in the plugin just something squirrly on my system or something to do with the toons.

Thanx for a marvelous plugin that saves me so much trouble!

This update only affects level 60+ players. I got tired of the cluttered listings for Dunland and Great River tasks, so I added a couple of options to simplify them.

First in Dunland, while there are task boards at many locations, the only locations where the tasks can be completed are Galtrev and Forthbrond. So I added an option "/dt nc" that will suppress listing non-completion locations.

Then in Great River, all the locations have the same tasks, so its redundant to list all the locations for every task item. I added an option "/dt gr" that combines all those locations into a single "Great River" label.

Note that all options are saved by server name.
