After Update 6 works the Combat Analysis German client no longer.

There's two new combat options: Combat Event (Kampfereignis), Combat Player (Kampfspieler) and Combat Enemy (Kampfgegner).

Re: Heal tab

@stumpeth: It sounds like you understand it correctly.

"If I'm understanding it correctly it shows the total ammount of healing I've done and any healing done by other players that was recieved by me."

Yes, exactly. Because that's the combination of all the information that's available in your combat log.

The second drop down list shows all the targets that were healed, and the data then shows all the players that healed that person. Since we can only see our own combat log info atm, if anyone other than yourself or totals is selected, the data should only include your healing output to that person. The plugin is still set up in the hope that we will be able to see other players's combat info at some point.

Yes its currently impossible to send all of your per-player healing output to chat in one click. You can only send your per-player healing for one person at a time to chat by selecting a target.

I guess there's no reason why I couldn't do it the other way around (drop down list of healers instead of healed targets). The reason its been done the current way is just because that's more consistent with how the damage tab works. I'll think about it.

Heal tab

Is it possible to get a bit more info on what exactly is being shown under the heals tab or maybe an extra bit of info in the instructions spefically about the heals window?

I only ask because while the damage out and damage taken seem quite straight forward the heals do not. When I output heal details to the chat window for the whole encounter ("Totals" in the upper dropdown box) and for both when I select totals or myself in the lower of the two drop drop downs it gives the same output, also the output to the chat window seems more like it's a breakdown of any outgoing heal done by the player listed in the chat output. I had hoped it would show how much healing I myself had given to each player. It seems it doesn't as I'm always top of the list of player names with others below me showing far less. If I'm understanding it correctly it shows the total ammount of healing I've done and any healing done by other players that was recieved by me. I only seem to be able to show healing done to other players when I select that specific player in the lower drop down which consequently only sends that singular player that I've healed to chat.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is if there's a way for me to send 1 single output to chat that shows total healing output from myself (optional) and then how much I've healed each player for. It would looking a little something like this ....

Healing - "ME" (total heal output) (avg heal p.s) (time, total since OR specic encounter)
Group member 1 - (total amount I healed them) (average heals p.s)
Group member 2 - (total amount I healed them) (average heals p.s)
Group member 3 - (total amount I healed them) (average heals p.s)

As far as I can tell this should be totaly possible as all ellements are contained in the combat log. It shows me doing the heal, who I've healed, which skill I've healed them with and for how much morale. If I'm being a complete nab and missing something please point it out but I would still like to know more about exactly what info is being shown for heals. If what I'm asking isn't part of the plugin at present then please consider this a request/recomendation for future versions.

@Webrene: Well there is no way to lock the windows atm but I may add that feature at some point in the future.

I'm curious why this is an issue though. Do you have the same problem with the Chat window?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Unable to resolve package

Thanks for investigating, but I have solved the problem. It wasn't that I was putting the zipped rather than the unzipped folder in the Plugins directory. Rather, I think, the problem was that I was attempting to delete the old CA and copy over the new files while LOTRO was running. Once I quit LOTRO, restarted Windows, copied the new files, and then launched LOTRO, CA loaded normally.

Re: Re: Re: Unable to resolve package

@thoronlin: No CA doesn't depend on any other packages.

I was able to replicate your error by setting up the folder structure incorrectly.

As above:
"Ensure you have the folder called CombatAnalysis (not CombatAnalysisZip) directly inside the Plugins folder."

And note that directly inside that folder should be a file called Main.lua. If you have an extra folder level somewhere, it will give you that error because it can't find the Main.lua file where its supposed to be.

Re: Re: Unable to resolve package

Thanks for the quick reply. I did both of those things, multiple times, including restarts of LOTRO and Windows. I also deleted the prefs files for CA in plugins data. Still no luck.

I recently updated altinventory, tonic bars, buffbars, etc. no problem.

Is there a package that CA uses, like drawbars, that I could try re-installing?

Re: Unable to resolve package

@Thoronlin: When you "reinstall", make sure you delete the old CombatAnalysis folder first. It seems to be a very common mistake that people just paste the newly downloaded folder over the old folder and expect it to be overwritten, but instead they may end up just merging the new files into the old folder structure (which will if course cause things to screw up).

That's one reason you might get the error.

Also you need to type /plugins refresh in game after updating to a new version (or if you restarted the client since updating you don't need to worry about that).

If you already did those things, then I'm really not sure what else the problem could be.

@Dero: Sent, Thanks.

Unable to resolve package

Apologies if this is stupid or an FAQ, but on ONE of my computers, CA is fine, but on the other, I get:

Unable to resolve package "CombatAnalysis.Main".

when I try to load. Any ideas? I've tried deleting the folder and re-installing, but that doesn't seem to help.

Thanks,

Thoronlin

just send me those strings and i'll translate them for you

for the time the only problem for some germans should be am/pm. so for pm just increment the hours by 12. and then "03:14:12" for the time and "1m 20.3s" should be no problem. The only thing that you can change is to leave the seconds and write "03:14 Uhr" for "03:14 AM" and "15:14 Uhr" for "03:14 PM". But thats only if you leave the seconds and every german would understand both denotations.

I have a list of things that will need translating for the next version (mostly a long list of skill names for temporary morale & buff/debuff tracking).

Does anyone want to get a head start translating this into German? Let me know and I'll send you the info in a PM.

Also, how are times/durations usually denoted in German/French? (ie: how should "02:36:54 pm" or "1m 20.3s" be written?).
(I'm assuming that I should just use 24h times instead of am/pm, and durations are ok as is?)

Ok so I realized that before implementing loading & saving, there are some other things that I should do first. The next update is hopefully going to include all the following:
  1. A further breakdown of stats by crits/devs/crits & devs/non crits/partial avoids [DONE]
  2. Temporary Morale heals [DONE]
  3. Buff/Debuff Duration Info [DONE pending some final testing]
  4. Saving & Loading [UNDERWAY]

It could still be a while until the next update is out.
