The use of the LOTRO Plugin Compendium solved a lot of problems all of th e files you mention now appear in the "plugin manager". The moormap loads.

Thank you

There are a couple of things that can cause the message you are reporting to display. Unfortunately, without a bit more information it is hard to determine exactly what the cause is so I will provide you with a couple of possible problems and solutions.

First, are you getting any other message? If there is a problem parsing the files or executing them you should see a message in either the Error or Standard chat channels. Make sure you have the Error channel and the Standard channel enabled in your chat window (right click in the window, select Filters and make sure they are checked).

If you are not receiving any other error then use /plugins list to verify that all four MoorMap components are listed in your plugins - you should have MoorMap, MoorMapDefaults, MoorMapLoader and MoorMapTerminator. As noted in the usage instructions above, do NOT load "MoorMapDefaults", "MoorMapLoader" or "MoorMapTerminator". They are used internally by the plugin and launching them manually or setting them to automatically load can cause the error you are reporting.

If any of the components do no show when you use /plugins list (or do not show in the Plugin Manager window) then they were not unzipped to the correct folder. I recommend using Lunarwater's Plugin Compendium application to install plugins to avoid installation errors. Plugin Compendium is available for Windows and Mac/Linux.
Windows:
http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...ompendium.html

Mac/Linux:
http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...mMacLinux.html

Is it possible that you successfully loaded MoorMap but did not see the icons and then tried to load it again? Attempting to load it more than once can result in the message you reported. The map is minimized by default so you would have to look for the icons in the bottom left of your screen - they can sometimes be hidden by other screen components so you can use the "/moormap show" command to display the map and then use the settings dialog to set the icons to a different location.

Let me know if you have another error message or still need help. If the problem was that you had set the other plugins to load or tried to run one of them manually then you may have corrupted the default annotations. If you get the map to display but none of the default annotations are visible then I can give you instructions on manually reloading the defaults (it's easy).

Hi. This is a two part issue. The UI and the annotations are handled separately. The MoorMap UI is already available in German. Just click on the gear icon to get to settings and change the language. Unfortunately, the annotations are not yet available in german. I do not know when I will complete the German translations for annotations as it requires running multiple clients side by side to guarantee that the english and german names are applied to the same location/npc. Basically, I have to revisit all of the annotations that already exist while running the Lua utility that I use to capture location/NPC names and locations while running a DE and FR client at the same time which will capture the translated names and then load them into my database so that I can update the default data files. Unfortunately I have had some hardware issues and RL time constraints so this has been a fairly low priority. My first priority is to get the new maps and annotations for the latest expansion but even that won't be published for several weeks yet.

The big news with ver. 1.22 is the new global search. This search will find any location from the default data on any map. It does NOT currently include custom annotations but that is slated for a future update. This is basically the same global search that was implemented for TerrainMap. I didn't have much time to come up with a unique icon so I left the old search button as a silver magnifying glass and made a new button with a gold magnifying glass next to it for the global search. If this proves too confusing I may spend the time to make a unique icon at some point.

You resize it by simply dragging the right or bottom borders with the mouse.

Since Lua has no access to quest information there is no way to display quests on the map. You can use Lunarwater's "Compendium" plugin (not to be confused with "Plugin Compendium") to look up quest information and then click the location links in Compendium to find the locations in MoorMap (as long as both plugins are installed and loaded the integration is automatic). Unfortunately, even Compendium can not determine which quests you currently have active, it is just a database of all quests, deeds, etc. but the integration with MoorMap can still be handy. Note that loading both MoorMap and Compendium can take up a lot of memory so you may have performance issues if you do not have enough RAM.

Could you answer a couple more questions? I'd like to solve the mystery of why this does not work for you since it may have other negative effects in other situations. Do you use a skin? If so, which? What resolution are you playing in?

The current file is "MoorMapSettings.plugindata" in the "...Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\PluginData\accountname\AllServers" where accountname is your account name. The settings are "quickWindowLeftPercent", "quickWindowTopPercent", "IconLeftPercent" and "IconTopPercent" and the values represent a percentage of the screen resolution.

So, to move the icons, just press and hold Ctrl BEFORE moving the mouse over the icons. Then move the mouse over the icon, and using the left mouse button, drag the icon where ever you want it.

Had and have done this, and just tried again, no joy. A blue dashed outline box appears around the Annotation Icon as it did earlier. So from this, I presume I have this Lua Quickslot code. Also, no box outlines the map icon, it also is still not movable. Other icons for the other Lua apps are movable by click and drag under Crtl+/ or by manual edit in options as in Alt Inventory (nice app by the way)

If you still can not move the icon, it may be under a transparent portion of a window control next to it ...

Thought of this, tried the Ctrl+/ action, no joy.

As to putting the icon coordinates in the Options window, I have had this on the ToDo list for over a year (basically the same time that I implemented this for AltInventory) but have held off until I convert the Options window to using tabs so that I can better organize the settings and eliminate some of the overcrowding. It will remain on the ToDo list but is a fairly low priority so it may not get done for quite some time (months, perhaps even years).

Ok, then how about the file name and section heading it is currently stored under?

EDIT:
Hmm. I just noticed that I am saving all of the settings at the Account level now instead of the Character level. A number of settings, including icon position, are supposed to be at the character level. I'm not sure when I changed this but this is a significant error and will be corrected in a future release.

In you next update if you were to add a feature similar to the way Bootstraps icon is movable, it would make things easier. Or you may want to add their location information (editable) to the options screen.
Both icons are easy to move once you get used to them. The annotation icon is a little tricky due to a limitation of the Lua Quickslot (which is required to allow clicking to actually perform an ingame action). As noted in the ver 1.20 update notes, the trick is to hold the Ctrl key before moving the mouse over the icon in order to be able to move it - the Ctrl key not only enables the moving capability of the icons, it temporarily disables the built in Quickslot functionality allowing mouse events to pass through to the container. I will add that to the Usage notes when I get a chance to make it easier to find.

So, to move the icons, just press and hold Ctrl BEFORE moving the mouse over the icons. Then move the mouse over the icon, and using the left mouse button, drag the icon where ever you want it.

If you still can not move the icon, it may be under a transparent portion of a window control next to it - you can usually see the transparent portion of built-in controls when the Ctrl+\ movement is enabled. You may have to move any overlapping control to get access to the icon.

As to putting the icon coordinates in the Options window, I have had this on the ToDo list for over a year (basically the same time that I implemented this for AltInventory) but have held off until I convert the Options window to using tabs so that I can better organize the settings and eliminate some of the overcrowding.
