Re: Download/Update operation time out
Quote:
I get stuck on "Problem while installing plugin ___. The operation timed out."
Happens when I try to download or update a plugin. Do I have to choose a specific download folder?
Running Windows 10 via CrossOver 22.

I've never tested with crossover, but my guess is you need to have crossover ensure proper .net framework is there.
I'd recommend installing the linux version (based on java)

Merlins beard
Just when I was about to give up after failing time and again adding a plugin to my lotro game then On a whim I went through the instructions again found this gem on the Mouse Finder plugin . I cannot thank the creator of this utility enough. If I had it I'd give$100 for the help this tool has done for making my Middle Earth that much better!! This needs to be a front page sticky!!

I have noticed that when I open your program, on the top line it does show version v1.0.4.0, but down below in "Installed Plugins" tab, in the latest version column it shows the Version as "2.0beta"
I just thought that was odd is all

Easy mistake to make. You're looking at the LOTRO Compendium plugin which is on 2.0 beta. This is the LOTRO Plugin Compendium which is NOT a plugin but a regular program which runs on it's own and therefore does not update through the plugin list.

There is an in game "Plugin Manager" that you have to open in the game to load / unload the plugins you have installed. You can have it auto load them, but you have to first choose that in the menu.

I didn't know about the Plugin manager. I found it in the character selection page. It was defaulted to not load plugins for any characters. Wow, such a noob I am. So I selected ALL, and it works now.
Sweet program you have here, once I got past my own ignorance.

I installed the game itself into "E:\Program Files (x86)\StandingStoneGames\The Lord of the Rings Online"
I installed LOTRO Plugin Compendium to it's default location. The configuration tab says the Plugin Insall Path is: "C:\Users\XXX\OneDrive\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins"
I do have "Turbine Examples" installed.
However, it seems like none of my plugins are working. I type in the slash commands for example with plugin "Where To Play" I type "/WTP show" and I get an error message that it's an unknown command. I think the plugins and the game are not pointed to each other. How do I remedy this?
