Thanks for reporting it. It's a harmless message, but it will be fixed in the next version.

Thumbs up Great Plugin - a few possible improvements

First of all: I love your plugin - I have three suggestions though:

I like to have festival-quests in their own tab since there are quite a few of them that I'd like to track and it would clutter the General-Tab; my problem is that when I complete one of the festival-quests instead of checking in the other tab and marking the quest as done the plugin creates a new entry in the General tab that I then manually have to push over to my festival-tab - it would be nice it other tabs could be checked, too - or if we could assign a specific tab to repeatable quests in the first place

The other entry is a minor one but I'd like it if when sorting entries by time, if multiple entries are available it would show those with a "static" time period (like crafting-recipes) first and then those that reset when the server does since those with a static time are more urgent than those that only reset with the server where it doesn't matter if you do them first

the third one also is a smaller convenience feature that would go well with the general idea of the plugin: raid locks

it would be cool if the plugin could check raid-locks (just their reset-times) and display those in a specific tab, too
For example if you want to farm old raids for the housing items.

even without those features it's still one of my 3 favorite plugins together with Buffbars and Titanbar - keep up the great work!

Hi, Melaga,

You can assign a specific tab (and category) to repeatable quests. In the options panel, under the Character tab, you should see the following:

What you cannot currently do is to specify a different tab/category for each individual quest. But I could add that.

I think when sorting by the "Time" column, most users want the reminders to be listed in order of expiration time, regardless of urgency. You can, however, sort the table by any other column (such as Category), and you can assign a "more urgent color" to more urgent categories. Or, you can put the "non-urgent" ones into a different tab.

For now, the only way to keep track of raid locks would be to manually create your own reminders for them, or use the automatic-reminder feature since they are basically repeatable quests.

I would be happy to add better support for raid locks, but unfortunately I don't have any raid-ready toons, so it would be difficult for me to test it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

That's what I meant.

That's what I want, too - I just thought it might be possible that after sorting by expiration time, if two reminders are available now then those should be sorted by reminder-type (static vs server-reset)

That's what I'm doing right now - I just thought it might be nice if it could be automated

Carn Dum has Raid Locks, right? That one should be soloable by most characters that are of a higher level.

Otherwise I discovered that Dar Narbugud is pretty easy to solo these days if you are lvl100+ - you can get the first ID in a few minutes.

I don't think that it should check WHICH IDs you have but only when they reset.

If you enter /raid locks you get a full list of the current locks in the chat-lock - pehaps it would be ok to just listen if the user uses that command and then add an entry for every line in the log?

It's formated as followed:

Quote:
The Twins' Silver Chest resets in: 0d - 11h - 33m.
Thanks a lot for your work and for the fast answer!

I'll add it in the next version.

I might be able to do that relatively easily. I'll look into it.

I don't understand. What would be the purpose of a reminder, if it didn't tell you which raid/stage?

Thanks, question and petition!

The first is a big thanks for this plugin, is very useful. EDIT: Today I tried the intinerary... amazing for make deeds!

Second a question, is possible make that works across servers? (I know that is in wishlist, I tried and failed linking the plugindata froms allcharacter folder to the allserver).

And third a big petition, can you create a similar plugin to this for track characters, using a similar metod that Reminders, something where we can have name, level, class, vocation and user camps. Thanks again and good luck!

Interesting idea. It will work, but you need to do the correct symbolic link (with mklink on Windows, or ln -s on Mac/Linux):
PluginData/account/server2/AllCharacters/Reminders.plugindata -> PluginData/account/server1/AllCharacters/Reminders.plugindata
Note that if you use the same character name on both servers, you will have no way to distinguish the reminders for the two characters. But otherwise, it should work fine.

A major impediment to adding multiple-server support to the plugin is that the Lua interface currently has no way to detect which server you're logged into. Working around that limitation requires some trickery, some manual user input, and some added complexity to the plugin design; and it's not foolproof (in particular, symbolic links can interfere with the server detection trickery). I'm not sure if/when I will get around to implementing it.

Are you just talking about the ability to create your own table/spreadsheet, with your own columns, that you can fill in however you like?

Thanks for the advice, works almost perfectly, the only thing is that the time countdowns going crazy when you change the server (some are reset or a lot of time are added), but if these aren't touch when you back to the server where the reminder was created you will see that the time is fine, I suposse that is something with the server times. But for general purporses the reminder without time or activated for loggings works fine.

Yeah, something like a spreadsheet for have a record of the characters, the ideal could be that the general info like name, class, etc. where fill automatically but at same time we can create our own colums for anotations, for the alt-lovers like me this could be very useful, I don't know if is possible with LUA get the info of the equipament.

Interesting. It hadn't occurred to me that the internal server clocks might not be synchronized with each other. I'll look into it. It may be an easy fix.

Well, I could make a generic "spreadsheet" plugin, but it would be a very poor imitation of Excel. I'm not sure there is a point. The only advantage would be you wouldn't have to use Alt+Tab to switch between the game and Excel.

And if you want it to automatically fill in data for you, such as equipment, etc. Sorry, that's a bigger project than I want to get into right now. But you should try Garan's plugins for the purpose: AltInventory and AltViewer.

Ah. AltViewer. So many projects, so little whiteboard space. I don't think I ever got around to re-enabling the Equipment panel after Turbine finally fixed the client crash due to GetEquipment(). I pretty much stopped playing my alts in the two years waiting for that fix. I'm pretty sure the crafting panel would need a major overhaul as well. Perhaps after Anthology is stable.

You're right, I'm using Lotropad for make this anotations and register the characters, but sometimes can be very annoying do it manually, that is the idea for something more of automatization.

I'm using ALT inventory, is great plugin, very useful too. Thanks Garan!

Don't give up, your work is great, thanks again for make theses plugins for the community.

The work of people like both of you is very invaluable for us, thank you guys.

I think version 1.34 will fix this problem. However, after you update, please first login to the server on which you have the most reminders. All of the reminders on the other servers will have an incorrect time, but that incorrect time will now be saved when you change servers. So you will only have to fix the times once.

Hi Thurallor, thanks for the update.

I made the update and fix the times but the countdowns are resetting yet, I don't know if I'm making something wrong, I will do more test and I tell you later.

EDIT: Now is working fine, I will do another test with a recipe countdown...
EDIT 2: Today the countdown were reset again...
