Just a note: I became aware tonight of the missing graphic when you mouse over the mounted combat vitals. This is due to an extra line in the SkinDefinition.xml file. If this is bothering you before I upload the next patch, simply use a text editor (I use Notepad++) to remove this line from the SkinDef file in the EA Rohan folder:

<Mapping ArtAssetID="VitalPortrait_Roll" FileName="rohan/VitalPortrait_Roll.tga"></Mapping>

And thanks for the note JMasher82! ^ Glad you like the interface.

thx again for this skin, but on this last update, a lot of the small icons that had blue background are now red, was by design or a glitch?

if your not sure what i mean, turn on the network connection, its normal blue, after this update its red, and there other ones that like horse xp on quest. just wierd
This was by design, to match the toolbar. There are only two firm design rules in the interface: turn everything silver into gold, and turn everything blue into some shade of red. The color adjustment formulas to convert LoTRO silver and LotRO blue are at the top of the included XML file.

If you don't like those red alert icons (I can see someone thinking red must be bad, haha), remove the following lines from the SkinDefinition.XML file in a text editor (the file is in the main EA Rohan folder):

<Mapping ArtAssetID="alert_connectionbad" FileName="rohan/alert_connectionbad.tga"></Mapping>
<Mapping ArtAssetID="alert_connectionbad_limited_visibility " FileName="rohan/alert_connectionbad_limited_visibility.tga"></Mapping>
<Mapping ArtAssetID="alert_connectiongood" FileName="rohan/alert_connectiongood.tga"></Mapping>
<Mapping ArtAssetID="alert_connectionugly" FileName="rohan/alert_connectionugly.tga"></Mapping>

And any other lines that say "alert" are likely also in that same bank of icons.

Really nice and so quick too! I thought about that level thing on npcs later. All the portraits and frames look good now. I haven't found anything yet that doesn't look right. I'll be sure to let you know if I do though!

Keep up the good work, this is a great-looking UI. Hats off!

This is great! Wow, it looks so good! Thanks for all the effort. I've only noticed a couple of things, really not that glaring, but here they are:
I uploaded another version (2.6). I think I've got a handle on these portraits now (see the patch notes above.) As far as the levels not showing, I played with the images a little bit and decided the numbers themselves just aren't showing. I clicked over to the default LotRO interface and they aren't showing there for me either on the same NPC's. Is that the way it looks for you too?

Thanks *so* much for the feedback and poking me to get this fixed. Hope it's working for you now.

The target portrait still has a little of a clipped graphic top below it.

This may be by design but I noticed that targetting an npc shows no level.

Thanks for fixing this up so quickly. I really like showing the class in the portrait now and, of course, the bag numbers instead of black spots are a big deal!

I spent tonight solving most of these problems, I think, and I've uploaded a new version (2.5). I made sure to test a small fellowship this time as well as targets around the city areas, but again I was kind of in a hurry to wind this up. I continue to be cranky towards Turbine for various reasons both related and unrelated to interface modding.

So there may still be target-type images tiling. I worked with Photoshop all night, and I don't play LotRO at the moment, and I didn't run through the landscape and dungeons looking for more errors. If anyone identifies a problem while playing, please help out and leave a comment, and I'll get back to fix it. Hope the toolbar looks okay. I might work on it more, and if so, it will end up as a one-file patch.

Enjoy!

Thanks so much for such a beautiful interface. I really am liking it quite a bit.

I did find the patch for the vital graphic problem but the target, etc. are still showing a bit of the clipped graphic below the image.
I didn't put a fellowship together in order to test the last patch I put up. I saw someone mention additional issues, but I'm not playing LotRO and didn't get back to it. I'm looking into it now. Thanks so much for the note and putting the image up for reference. I'll expect to upload a new version in the next day or two with more thorough testing this time. My apologies to anyone who has been using the interface like this for the last weeks.

I did find the patch for the vital graphic problem but the target, etc. are still showing a bit of the clipped graphic below the image. Do I just copy this same image in the patch but rename it to fix the other graphics? Or did I miss a note somewhere about how to do it or another patch?

Thanks in advance.

I've put a pic of what I mean here.

It's in the fine print. But well worth repeating here. To erase any rogue icons on the left side of the toolbar, assign those slots to any bags 1 - 4 in your options panel (these bag icons have been made invisible).

You can still use 5, or use "open all bags", or do away with the bags and just use the hotkey to open them like I do, and then use the slots for something else. The reason for making these icons invisible was to be able to erase the left side icons completely in order to make the UI friendly for an older 4:3 ratio display, as you can see in the example images. I don't think you can set a slot to "none" for example and accomplish that.

Thanks for Replying

I saw the note about changing the icons, just thought it was still possible to have the other bag icons showing .
It's no major issue I guess, can use the one bag mod or as you said just use the hot-key command and then fill up the slots with the other options.

Thanks again

Just Downloaded the UI and looks very nice and tidy

I have a slight problem though :-

The bag Icons 1-4 don't show ,it is just a black circle.

Since I now have a widescreen monitor, doing something better with the toolbar is near the top of my list. Unfortunately (very much so), I seem to have lost the original Photoshop toolbar file with all the layers (the one I have is flattened). So I'd have to start over from scratch. I hope this explains the situation. If you're a player who uses up one slot for each individual bag instead of the hotkey to open all bags, this UI might not be for you at this time without changing your style.

The bag Icons 1-4 don't show ,it is just a black circle. If I swap say bag 4 to advance via the options panel the icon for advance shows, this is the same for slots 1-4.Bag 5 shows the bag icon fine. I can click the black circle and it opens up the bag so that works,it's just a missing icon.

I have no other UI's conflicting as this is a clean install and only have 2 plug-in's installed moormap and buffbars at present.

I have patched the UI with the Vitals patch.

Screenshot below of the problem.

Hope you can shed some light on this

Turbine re-sized the player character vitals image in order to accommodate their new fancy anniversary vitals. Until the new vitals are available for modding, I have uploaded a taller character Elven Adventuress player character vitals image so that it will no longer tile vertically. Download the patch and replace the old image file with the new in your Elven Adenturess folder. You can then choose to use the corrected image with the interface, or the new anniversary ones that do not match until Turbine gives us the assets.

The interface was updated to fix appearance problems with the new skirmish soldier summoning icon for terrain, the barter wallet, and some other things. The patch notes are above. There are still a lot of little things that are kind of bugging me--loose pixels here and there, and the treatment of the toolbar buttons, which I'd like to be a lot slicker and stylish. I've put many, many hours into this though, and at some point the discipline of getting everything perfect yields to practicality of time spent.
