small gfx error

DLed and installed 4.01, everything looks and works great. One small gfx anomaly with the rings next to the quest tracker. I have reloaded several times but that does not seem to be the problem.

Any ideas? Thank you for your work, this is a great skin. really enjoying it.

There is a snippet of code in the earlier posts. Follow the instructions but copy that code into the skin file in the SETUP folder.

This will fix the graphical issue. Daimon said he will fix it in next updated release.

The problem is with the file he used for the picture, for some reason there are two version, I changed it in mine and fixed it... took me forever to figure out what the problem was myself.

I like the bags being "invisible" showing only as those little dots until moused-over. Keeps things nice and clean looking.

Here is how I have mine set up...

Only things I have changed is the map back to the original (as I like its plain look) and changing it so that my vitals are on the left and the targets vitals on the right.

Loving it.
Nice!

Could you explain me how to change the own vitals to the left and the target vitals to the right?

Thanks

I used photoshop to flip the tga image files so that they were the other way around and then you have to edit the vitals lines in the skindefinition.xml file to get the vitals components in the right places for the new images.

Re: Re: small gfx error

I haven't been able to get this to work either...I tried changing it in both the \Setup\SkinDefinition.xml and the SkinDefinition.xml.1920 and it still has the four rings error.

Dismount Button Not Functioning

Daimon - the dismount button is not functional when riding horse. I can right click on the display and dismount that way but it is cumbersome.

Anyone have a fix?

You mean dismounting while riding your own horse or a stable-master mount ?

I'm guess your own mount. I got an idea why thats happening. Turbine added the new dismount button but I made the panel smaller so I guess the button is overlapping. This isn't intentional, I just missed it as I didn't have a mount in beta. Can't wait to be able to skin the dismounting button

Anyways I'll try to upload a patch today

Exactly!

The dismount button is not clickable at all when riding personal mount - so it sounds like your assumptions are right!

Thanks for all your hardwork!

P.S. if you are going to be doing some skinning - how hard would it be to get player vitals switched to left hand side and mobs to right hand side? It just seems more "natural" to have player vitals on left and opponent on right hand side. I know you said you'd look into it in an earlier post - just thought I would throw that out there...

Is there any way to have the "full size" character portrait and vital bars while using the "mini" version of the UI? I like being able to see the portraits, as well as my pet's name and stuff.

4.0.2 uploaded. It should fix problems with the tracker quest buttons and the dismounting button. nothing else changed.

rlarsen: pet name should show up now. I'm looking into to add the 3D portrait for Mini/Uni in future updates..

On the side note. Next major update 4.1 I was planning to try to figure out how to be able to switch between left-to-right and right-to-left vitals easily. This will affect the layout some though, but I was going to make the layout just a bit different anyways to make the skin compatible with the Palantir plugin.. I was also thinking of redoing the Mini version (almost completely removing the mainbar from sight, making it really small). When ? Hopefully this year hehe ..

Having some problems with this...

I installed the 4.0.1 version last night, and only the DaimonuiUniversal version works. The other two, mini and the regular one, are a mess, even after restarting the game.

I installed the game on Friday, and I haven't paid a dime to play, so I'm definitely a f2p player, and the client should be the right one... but how can I check?

And one more problem, that will be there even if the solution to the other issues is to switch to 4.0.

How do I keep the default radar? I don't dislike the ring border, but it covers the map markers. I could barely see the town/tracking pointer to the SE, by example.

Edit: Using the setup.cmd has no effect, no matter the compatibility/admin status. I get the first option, I choose, I get a brief flash of some error, then I get the generic "blahblah was successfully changed from unknown to unknown."

I tried manually removing the radar part in the xml file but it didn't have any effect, or I didn't have the right one (xml file or radar part)
