Oh how I wish this little gem were able to be ran in a linux (Ubuntu) environment. This is sheer genius! My hat is most definitely off to you, sir (or madam, whichever you are).

Can't promise anything, but in future releases I could possibly get it to run using mono (http://mono-project.com/Guide:_Porti...s_Applications) so linux and mac could be supported.

Using wine I can get past the installer. It blows chunks upon launching the app unfortunetly.

it does not recognize travelwindow 9.6
it states that my turbine examples 1.1 are not up to date because 1.0 is "better"
and when trying to add travelwindow 9.6 via your compendium, it does NOT add the travelwindow, but instead installed turbine examples 1.0

Use "Add / Remove Programs" In windows control panel. Click Remove

Travel Windows has a dependency to install the Turbine Examples package. It downloads this directly from Turbine. If you had manually installed Turbine Examples by hand, it is possible "one" of the 4 example plugins they provide have a 1.1 version number embedded. This does not mean the overall package is 1.1.

and the program teracopy does not work anymore
I am unfamiliar with this. Can you provide more information?

and no uninstaller

thanks for the quick answer

i edited my first comment, as i realised that i should have a look at "programms", instead of looking for an uninstaller in the compendium directory

the teracopy thing was a mistake on my side - so all to blame is me xD

regarding the travelwindow plugin:
i had TW 9.3 - installed compendium - displayed travelwindow as grey ("Travel (unmanaged)") and version 9.3

then i manually updated to 9.6 - still greyed out on compendium ("Travel (unmanaged)") - decided then to add travelwindow via compendium
effect: turbine examples downgraded to 1.0 and travelwindow still greyed out "Travel (unmanaged)" and version displaying 9.6

hope this helps

When you install LPC for the first time it tries, (Emphasis on tries) to understand what it sees installed already on the users PC. This part is a work in progress as sometimes it does not understand what an author has done. I tried to make the initial version of LPC understand most plugins latest version as of the first release (couple weeks ago). Version 9.3 of travelwindow was older than that date, but I will take a look at what is going on.

The short way to fix the problem for you (until I can patch the problem you described) is to backup your old Plugins folder, and let LPC install them all from scratch.

Thanks again for the heads up.

i like the idea of compendium, so i reinstalled LPC
(had several restarts before reinstalling LPC)

when loading up for "the first time" it again sees travel windows as greyed out "Travel (unmanaged)" - the turbine examples are surprisingly 1.0, even though i "re-updated" them

could it be that there were remnants of the older "detection"?

how can i reset it? deleting staticplugins.xml?

Reinstalling LPC will not help. Your old install of TravelWindow needs to be manually removed. Then use LPC to install new version. Currently LPC overwrites old plugin. It sounds as if the old install of TravelWindow changed the name of the Plugin file.

Sorry for the problem you are experiencing. Sounds like I really need to work on this part a little more.

nothing changed, but i tried this time...

- closed LPC (just closing, not uninstalling)
- back-uped the plugins folder
- deleted the content of Plugins folder
- opened LPC, which displayed a blank plugins page
- checked travel window 9.6 (and palantir) and pressed "add"

result: turbine examples 1.0, palantir 1.10.1 and....Travel (unmanaged) 9.6

could the issue be, that travelwindow was updated today?
palantir does not get displayed anymore in the "add new plugins" tab (because i checked "hide installed") whereas travelwindow is still availble at add new plugins

and btw, does LPC have an autoupdater for itself? or do i always have to download and install the newest version manually?

and thanks for your help and the LPC project, as soon as it is working for me, it definately is going to be comfortable^^

Sorry you went to all that trouble to have it still not work. I'll take a look at all of this during my lunch hour and get back to you regarding the "Unmanaged". In mean time, please see if Travelwindow plugin works in Lotro.

It will check whether there is an update and let you know when you should update. The installer for new version should automatically uninstall previous for you.

I believe the problem is the plugin is called "Travel Window", but in the configuration of the plugin, it keeps being referred to as just "Travel". This can be fixed by the author naming the plugin in the .plugincompendium file to match lotrointerface's name "Travel Window". I can also change the client to try to work around this issue by matching on more than just name. I should change it to use id as well.

Thanks again for pointing out the issue.

cool, changing the name to "travel window" in the .plugincompendium did the trick - LPC does recognize it now, but needed the manual change

still have to test if it is still working in game though, will do that tomorrow and report back

thanks for all the quick answers and help!

First, I would like to thank Lunarwater for creating this excellent tool.

Lunarwater let me know that there was an issue with the file I included in my zip file, so I just want to let everyone know that I have fixed the issue, and the latest version of Travel Window now has the corrected file.
