FWIW, Rodagador's problem sounds like a classic issue with internationalization. You most likely are using the built in Turbine.PluginData.Save and Turbine.PluginData.Load routines and have a setting that is saved as a decimal number and since Rodagador seems to be switching back and forth between the English client and the French client the setting can not be read correctly and causes the plugin to fail to load. This can be resolved by saving settings as strings and then coercing them into the correct format when loaded. I personally implement a variant of Vindar's patch, http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...anclients.html combinded with a function, EuroNormalize, that I define based on which number format is currently in use (that way, no matter which format the number was stored in, it is coerced into the correct format and then converted back to a number). For an example, check MoorMap, AltInventory or TerrainMap.

Of course, this would all be a lot simpler if numeric values were saved and loaded correctly by the built-in routines but as they are not an no changes are likely, this workaround is perhaps the best you can hope for.

Thanks to take time for my problem but I tried to use your solve with the other plugin and it's not run any more. I not understand very well plugin's code lines, so, don't worry about me, I'll use the 3.1 with the file of 3.3 to launch in French.

Hi Clubby !

While playing in The Moors I have had time to give this some serious thought and I have come up with a few suggestions for your consideration that will improve your app.

Please Fix:

1) The Most recent Hits Window. Sync it up with the f12 key function. As it is now, it remains displayed whenever the user has decided a photo op is at hand, presses f12 to remove all the controls from the screen and Recent Hits is the Only PvMP+ control which remains in view. Forcing the user to remove the check mark in settings window and not display/use.

Suggestions / Improvements:

1) Recent Hits Window – Allow user to click (rt / lt) on the Title bar to rotate the clearing of the window contents. (Basically turn inside window blank/translucent.) Toggle the title bar again and the window would once again display the most recent hits list.
It's annoying to see a constant reminder of who kick your butt or at least tried to.
And nicer to be able to pick it back up if needed.
2) Recent Hits Window – ALARM - When initially opened, … the border of the window color remains as-is however upon the First Hit the border flashes quickly, 3x only. First Bright Red followed by White then back to Red, resting on gold or original color. This creates a slightly larger but momentary Alert flag to indicate that one is under attack. Similar to the Alert of being tracked that we currently enjoy, altho not quite so bold. Naturally it would Automatically reset, after the attack is over and goes thru the motions once again when another attack begins. Don't let clicking the title bar interfere with the border warning trigger. However using a manual reset of the border warning could be a guaranteed reset of the border warning trigger. Your call.
3) During some past new version upgrade of my then current version of PvMP+ to the latest version , please ensure maintaining the users previous stats by searching for the db file, if exists rename to filename_Bkup then once installed, import the backup file into new db file. I lost my initial stats, the Original stats somewhere along the line between version 1 - 3 installs, because of a legacy incompatibility issue. Oh well.
4) Recent Hits Window- Allow for the sending of data to an Alias like what you did in the Last 5 Kills Window. Currently I see no option to send it to an Alias using the Recent Hits window, just the standard channels IE OOC / group / tribe

The added abilities your addon provides to LOTRO is startling when one compares the screen of the non PvMP+ user(s), to the ones using PvMP+ while playing LOTRO. It really fills in the blanks. Excellent product !

Thank you for the feedback. My weekend is super busy right now, but I will try to get to this soon.

Removing the Hits window from view shouldn't be too terribly difficult and Ill attack that first. The only notable one on your list is the alias'ed chat windows, but I just have to migrate the work over from the last 5 kills window.

As for your data being lost, there should always be a backup or two in the PluginData folder. Its a bit of a pain to manually copy in the data, but it can be done. Im not sure what would have changed in the last few versions though as I haven't touched the save/load logic recently. Ill poke around a bit though and see if I see something.

Pvmp Plus for two accounts

Hi

I have two Lotro accounts and previously my pvmp plus worked on both. Now it only works on one of my accounts but not the other, and of course it works on the account I rarely use. Where you manage the plugins on each account it looks exactly the same, but the pvmp interface does not show up when I login any of the characters on the account where it is not working.

This makes no sense to me but then I am not a tekkie

Any ideas? Thanks!

The first thing I would try is to reload all of the plugins on that account. If I recall correctly the command (in your chat window) should be “/plugin manager” without the quotes. There should be a button to unload all of your plugins and then you can reload them one at a time and look for any errors that may occur. If there are any problems, they should print out in the chat window. The only other thing I can think of is if the plugin got minimized somehow. When minimized the entire plugin goes away except for a coupe small buttons, usually across the top.

hello, after 1 year of pvp stop on evernight and just connect and my pvpmp + no longer works .... I have error messages:

AllCharacters / PvMP_Plus.plugindata: 1: unexpected symbol

Plugins \ PvMP_Plus \ DataHandler.lua: 43: Unable to parse file!

I do not understand why .... If you can come help me Thank you

The fix for this should be at the bottom of the plugin description...copied here for you.

You have to delete the "PvMP_Plus.plugindata" in the "AllCharacters"-folder to get the plugin running again.

on error unresolved

as per your instruction i think it was 3rd or 4th page where someone had same error as me, I removed the plugin but in the desktop one it wouldnt allow me to tick it to remove it, where it says it is unmanaged, i came out of game to make sure game wasnt why it wasnt working same thing. I will check i got everything when i manually deleted file because that isnt working. Will now restart computer and see if that resolves issue, will get back if doesnt to here if not it worked and you dont need to answer ty ahead of time, for spending your time with this useful mod as used before few yrs ago, and just got back to game.

Are there problems? That section of code you copied in is to determine if an NPC has hit you instead of another player. It helps filter out unwanted information on the "Last Hit" window.

As for the french localization, if you want to copy the entire line of the fr.lua line into a PM and correct it, I can patch the release. Or did I get it right here?

Yes v3.3 is known to be broken on the french client since a few month, and when I recently connected a monster it was indeed. However the patch I linked you in the previous post fixes it. Your edit of the line 73 with the "f" replacing "comm" is right.
