weird, i have tried win11 64bit english non-steam client and did not get that error, dont understand what else could be different or why it works on some clients and not on others. It is quite hard to test than.

Thanks for reporting, i did similar patch in the new release which should work if i understood the problem correctly. Let me know if it does not.

It's not just you. I am also getting the error (64bit client, english, non-steam, desktop pc). I'll try the fix below as we wait for an update. Edit: the fix below seems to be working for now. Thanks!

I'm using the 64 bit client, just confirmed using task manager just to be completely sure. Yeah it's interesting for sure, I'll try it again on my desktop computer once I'm at home later this week, maybe it's a problem specific to my laptop.

Thanks, i was suspecting that would be the case. It should fail the pcall and not try to create the quickslot. Dont understand why it is not doing so for you. It is working for me normally on multiple different computers.

Edit: I will add the patch. Just out of curiosity in case i have more time to test it later on different settings, are you using 32bit or 64bit?

Sorry, can't speak for the original plugin, I just meant that I tried with your plugin as a "standalone" and also with the patched original (downloaded the original plugin and copied over yours, overwriting any existing files with your versions). Same result, so both ways gave me the error in line 51 of Functions.lua

So, it did not happen in the original plugin? interesting because that part of the code is same.
Trying to figure out why it is doing so, would you mid changing back and adding Turbine.Shell.WriteLine(itemID) before the line with the error so i know with which itemID it is failing.

I installed the plugin via the Plugin Compendium. Then, upon selecting it to load on All Characters in the Plugin Manager (LOTRO character select screen) and loading up one of my characters, the error as described happened every time upon loading into the game world.

The result of the error was that the plugin could not load at all ( /pets command did not work, and the Pets plugin button also did not show).

I am using the standard non-Steam LOTRO client, English language setting. Windows is set to English (US) with German keyboard.

I also tried to delete the plugin altogether, then installing the original Pets plugin first and using your version as a patch, but got the same result as before.

I did not manage to reproduce this error, can you describe how it happens? which client/locale are you using?

For those who, like me, are getting error "attempt to index a nil value" in line 51 of GaluhadPlugins\Pets\Functions.lua - I managed to fix it, change the function NewItemInfo(itemID) in Functions.lua as follows:
