Doh, unfortunately I have levelled out of the "bad" area and so it will have to wait (I forgot to take a screenshot...) until I gain enough XP again.

It's hardly a critical issue, just something I figured you'd like to fix.

Possible graphics bug

On the XP bar, in Mini, the bar (for me) is usually blue with rest XP. The bar as it fills, is with a lighter brown than the game normally has, which looks nice, until about the last 15% of the bar, where it reverts to the older brown so you end up with a "two-tone" brown color right before you level. I might be able to get a screenshot of it but I have no idea how to post it.

Thanks and keep up the good work, I love this skin.

Bjornalf: Changing the heigh and width values for quickslot bars in skindef doesn't have an effect in-game. Only way to enlarge the bar is to use the in-game scalers (it has a bit different name in the scalers section than the other quicksbars, mainbar or something I believe - this might have a downside as it affects the whole mainbar so it might enlarge some of the buttons on the mainbar as well .. but it's the only way I'm afraid).

ChrisChris
: Yeah there is. I'll look into adding the 3D portraits in future updates.

At the moment, I'm using the Universal version, as that one seems to fit my screen the best. Everything is in place and so on.

I gave up on the normal version because I play at 1440x900, and the bar at the bottom would take a large part of the screen, even if I did make it work. No clue why it doesn't work.

The mini on refuses to work as well. Didn't do anything with that beyond try it a couple of times.

So I guess the problem is solved I managed to revert the radar (turns out I was editing the xml file for the standard version, instead of the universal one).

Are there any plans to include the full-size portraits in the Universal UI ? It would make the skin perfect, I believe.

thanks for the answer! one other thing about that quickbar.. i've scaled up the other bars to 1.20 and would like that one to use the same scaling.. how do i change that? (hopefully not by trial and error with the w/h in the skindefinition.xml file)

**edit** ok i played with the width/height of that bar and got it to about 80% of the others (at that 1.20 scaling) but can't get it to go any bigger?

FYI line i have currently is

Code:
<Element ID="Toolbar_Quickslot"                                     X="600"     Y="215"     Width="500"     Height="55" />
but the width and height are not those values since it isn't any bigger than 470w/45h was

Hi. I was on a short vacation. Thanks for the comments! sooo lets see..

ChrisChris: Did you sorted out your installing problems ? If not link me a screenshot and I can prolly help you out.

You can remove the custom minimap manually by editing the skin's skindefinition.xml (note there's three of them depending which type of my skin you're using). Open the file in your text editor, find the line that says <!-- dmnMinimap --> and delete lines below it until the next comment marker.

Terrible Torgo: Unfortunately I won't be updating v2 version anymore. You might want to check this out tho http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...nUIPurple.html

rlarsen: I'm currently looking into making the 3d portrait appear in Uni/Mini once again.

Bjornalf: yea that quickslot bar is problematic as you can't move it any other way than editing the SkinDefinition.xml (note there's three of them depending which type of my skin you're using). Open SkinDefinition.xml in your text editor. Find a line that says Element ID="Toolbar_Quickslot". From there you can move it by editing the X and Y values. Higher X values move it to the right and lower Y values move it upwards.

Daimon, love the UI and have gotten it 99% of the way your screenshots look.. only problem is the default quickbar (the 1-= one) that isn't moveable in game is centered on the screen (using 1920w resolution).. how would i move that and do you know off hand what co-ordinates i would need to tell it (i think i saw that i have to edit the skin def file?)

thanks again for the amazing UI!

Thanks

Daimon, wonderful job and thanks for fixing the pet name display. I have been encouraging many that I play with to use this theme. Along with my recent discovery of the new plugin system, it has really breathed new life into the game for me!

I'd sure love to see the full size portraits at least as an option in the smaller interfaces, though, is there a way you could show me to just "copy" the ones from the full size interface into the mini interface? I really like the ones in the full size interface, but the interface itself just occupies too much screen real estate for my setup. Keep up the good work!

Talking UI2 Revisited

First off, I feel compelled to let you know...all your UI's are simply amazing!
I recently installed UI4 (Mirkwood) and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It got me looking through other UI's that you've created and I found the UI2 version. It by far is my favorite looking one.

I especially like the way the menu panels are set up on either side of the screen and the Player/Target Vitals in the middle are setup (as seen here http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/g...g?t=1233062940 ). *I love the purple theme

I realize you are probably extremely busy, but is there any way you could be persuaded to re-release (of sorts) the UI2 with updated compatability? My primary desire is to have the Main UI screen look as it does in the screenshot.
Including the Menu Buttons and Vital. Also I like how the top border of the bar goes straight across. Everything else (Minimap, Vendor/Crafting/Character Panels, Bags, etc I like in UI4.)

Having some problems with this...

I installed the 4.0.1 version last night, and only the DaimonuiUniversal version works. The other two, mini and the regular one, are a mess, even after restarting the game.

I installed the game on Friday, and I haven't paid a dime to play, so I'm definitely a f2p player, and the client should be the right one... but how can I check?

And one more problem, that will be there even if the solution to the other issues is to switch to 4.0.

How do I keep the default radar? I don't dislike the ring border, but it covers the map markers. I could barely see the town/tracking pointer to the SE, by example.

Edit: Using the setup.cmd has no effect, no matter the compatibility/admin status. I get the first option, I choose, I get a brief flash of some error, then I get the generic "blahblah was successfully changed from unknown to unknown."

I tried manually removing the radar part in the xml file but it didn't have any effect, or I didn't have the right one (xml file or radar part)

4.0.2 uploaded. It should fix problems with the tracker quest buttons and the dismounting button. nothing else changed.

rlarsen: pet name should show up now. I'm looking into to add the 3D portrait for Mini/Uni in future updates..

On the side note. Next major update 4.1 I was planning to try to figure out how to be able to switch between left-to-right and right-to-left vitals easily. This will affect the layout some though, but I was going to make the layout just a bit different anyways to make the skin compatible with the Palantir plugin.. I was also thinking of redoing the Mini version (almost completely removing the mainbar from sight, making it really small). When ? Hopefully this year hehe ..

Is there any way to have the "full size" character portrait and vital bars while using the "mini" version of the UI? I like being able to see the portraits, as well as my pet's name and stuff.

You mean dismounting while riding your own horse or a stable-master mount ?

I'm guess your own mount. I got an idea why thats happening. Turbine added the new dismount button but I made the panel smaller so I guess the button is overlapping. This isn't intentional, I just missed it as I didn't have a mount in beta. Can't wait to be able to skin the dismounting button

Anyways I'll try to upload a patch today

Exactly!

The dismount button is not clickable at all when riding personal mount - so it sounds like your assumptions are right!

Thanks for all your hardwork!

P.S. if you are going to be doing some skinning - how hard would it be to get player vitals switched to left hand side and mobs to right hand side? It just seems more "natural" to have player vitals on left and opponent on right hand side. I know you said you'd look into it in an earlier post - just thought I would throw that out there...
