I guess you can I mean I never tried it so i wouldn't know if the UI will look good.
As far I know the scaling is bad in this game,the UI looks blurry and stuff.

So I leave mine as defaulted 1.0.

At the moment I can't access my game to check.
But think the scaling option is the same panel as where you select the Ui skin choice,it near the bottom.

No problem to answer at all Volsung.

Go under the options for the quickslots.

Uncheck the box for docking.
Check mark to show bars always bar 1 to 5 or less.
Click accept,then when that window closes for option panel,press same time
Ctrl and \ to unlock the UI panels.

All the UI panels will be movable and the quick bars too.
The quick bars have a yellow/golden circle,when you click that it will make
the quick bars to up and downward and click again will make it side by side.

I love the UI, but how do I change it? This is my first time using a new UI, so I am not sure. I'm referring to the quickslot bars by the way. I'd love some of them on the side of my screens, or just wherever. T_T I hope this won't cause too much of a burden to answer.

No,sorry Turbine doesn't allow it and there isn't any way to add functional addon like that ingame.
Only thing we can do is Modification on the UI skin art,that's it.

You can try adding your opinion on the following post,maybe Turbine might one day let us but for now no.

Glad you got it working and thanks for the comments and the info about the trial client,that indeed it will work on the trial client to use mod UI.

Wow fast response... I was reading a post in the forums and figured it out, had to put it in my documents/lotr etc... sorry about that... i love how it looks, really nice...thanks!

I'm not sure if its because of the trial version.

Can you tell me what OS(Win XP,Vista etc) you are using?

Make sure the name of the folders you created are exactly named like in faq.

Make sure the folder name (skins) have the letter ( s ) at the end.

If your using vista it should look like this on the pic below since Windows XP is
little different.

Full path example should be like this on Vista:
C:\Users\Brygard\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\black glass mix red v 2.0
