JappMe SoM Ivy UI Skin
for The Lord of the Rings Online
Version 3.0.0 Dezember 2009 after Siege of Mirkwood
Created by JappMe
Modified by Halvitur
------------------------------
The initial release of this interface and therefore most of the work was done by JappMe. I modified the interface to work with "Siege of Mirkwood" since JappMe has stopped playing "Lord of the Rings Online" and all work on his Interface. All thanks to JappMe for his fantastic work and maybe a small thank you for me for modifying the interface to work with "Siege of Mirkwood".
What I've done so far
- Relinked the letterbox and removed every button from the letterbox with the exception of the "Interface Button. I find this button useful and it luckily fits into the letterbox quite well.
- Removed nearly all of the new backgrounds in the windows with the exception of the skirmish and crafting windows. This will be part of the next release.
- Replaced the tabs in the deed log with the original (arrow like) tabs. I like them better than the custom tabs created by JappMe and it simply makes things things much easier for me.
- Added a new letterbox for characters that have reached the levelcap. It's the standart letterbox but with a smaller experience bar that won't intefere with interface objects that are placed next to the letterbox.
- Replaced the ugly "Conjunction Button" with the attack indicator of the standard interface. Yes, this possible now and it simply looks better.
What I'll do in the future- Redesign the skirmish and crafting windows.
- Redesign the vitals for the skirmishes and your mount (currently using the original ones).
- Redesign the item advancement progress bars.
- Adding a "maxlevel letterbox" for all three versions of the letterbox.
- Adding a new small letterbox (for all versions) that will work for characters that haven't reached the levelcap yet.
Installation
You will find a readme file in the root folder that explains the installation.
How to change the letterbox?
1. Open the file "SkinDefinition.xml" in the root folder of the interface.
2. Look for the line that starts as follows
<Mapping ArtAssetID="letterbox_bottom"
3. Change path to the image file.
For standard:
<Mapping ArtAssetID="letterbox_bottom" FileName="panel/letterbox_bottom_standard.tga"></Mapping>
For minimal:
<Mapping ArtAssetID="letterbox_bottom" FileName="panel/letterbox_bottom_minimal.tga"></Mapping>
For without:
<Mapping ArtAssetID="letterbox_bottom" FileName="panel/letterbox_bottom_without.tga"></Mapping>
For maxlevel:
<Mapping ArtAssetID="letterbox_bottom" FileName="panel/letterbox_bottom_maxlevel.tga"></Mapping>

A little help please....
I like the minimalistic look of this UI but I wanted to add Brygard's dressing room, Rushl's mini-packs and MrJackdaw's Widecraft but I am running into a few issues. I pasted all of the proper skindefinition files appropriately but it wouldn't load them. I then thought it might be because of the </opt> at the beginning and end of all the additions, so I deleted those and got the default skin when I reloaded the client lol. Not sure what I'm missing but if anyone could give me a hand, I would surely appreciate it .
Thanks much.

i was able to fix the problem, I had to revert the UI back to the games default setting, then exit logout and set it to the mod again.

Umm, thats strange.
I reinstalled my machine (thank you Creative for your fantatsic sound cards *gnarf*) and therefore LOTRO as well. I'm using the files that I've uploaded here, but I don't have these problems. The buttons are all gone as intended. I cannot reproduce your problems.
And it's normal, that the exp-bar extends past the toolbar. Only the maxlevel-version doesn't extend past the toolbar. At the moment it's just a graphical and not a functional fix, only recommended for those characters that have reached the levelcap and therefore don't need the exp-bar anymore. I will add a functional fix in the future. This fix will work with all characters, but it will also make things more difficult and troublesome not only for me but primarily for you.
To change the toolbar, pay attention to the installation guide above!

im having an issue with this UI.
here is a screenshot to show what the problem is
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/4...shot00004l.jpg
as you can see the menu buttons are still there (to the left and right of the custom hotbar) floating in space. Looks very odd.
also the exp bar extends past the hotbar and looks odd.
