Most likely, when you edited and saved the file, it was saved with the wrong encoding.

lua files should be in plain ASCII if only non accented latin characters are used, or in UTF8 *without* BOM (Byte Order Mark) otherwise.

IndexedDictionary.lua in the plugin is encoded in UTF8 without BOM, if the text editor you use decides it knows better and saves the file in UTF8 *with* BOM, that file won't load in Lotro.

Better get a proper text editor that won't mess up with your files. I suggest Notepad++.

I used different program for editing of the file. First I used just notepad, then I used PSPad and with that one it was working. I guess notepad somehow messed up formating of the file. I can upload modified file somewhere if you want but I am no author so I am not sure if I am allowed to upload it here.

EDIT: I just uploaded modified files as a patch, enjoy.

I tried to add these locations into EN version but I have to do something wrong. I keep getting errors and I am unable to load plugin with modified file. I really dont understand what is wrong. I just copied those 3 lines from French version and change descriptions. And it ended up like this... anyone can help? Or create EN version with these updated locations?

Okay, I have tried adding the Laila's market and the Forlaw guide to the file, but when I run it in game, it won't load. I return back to the original file and it loads fine. So what am i doing wrong? Am I placing it in the wrong place? As for the Forlaw part, what is the line to add, and where?

Is there another file that needs to be changed?

I love this app, just want it updated and working. Maybe someone that has it working can cut and paste the file here for me to copy.

Thought I had this figured out but the plugin would not work after adding the info.

In case you missed it there a new Return to Lalia's maket skill with U11. You can buy "Return to Lalia's market" at the dye vendor in Lalia's market in Bree for 3 Mithril coins.

@Thoronmir: Did you also download and install the Turbine utilities?

Um, yeah ... /smackhead. I finally figured that out yesterday. Once I got the Turbine utilities in the right folder, it started working fine. Was tempted to just delete my post, but chose to leave it up to (a) memorialize my shame and (b) serve as a reminder to anyone else who forgets that very important step.

About the "unlearned" skills.

It's not the plugin which is buggy bug I think it's the game itself. Since the latest game update several travel skills get transmitted with the wrong name.

I only know a few which are wrong.
1. (DE) Bree reputation port
2. (DE) Snowbourn reputation port
3. (EN) Bree race port


Please add an option to DEactivate the automatism which hides travel skills when they are not learned, of course then we have to chose manually what we want to display.

I edited your script on my girlfriends computer to remove the "learned" check, but I am sure others would like an option to deactivate it.

It's a great plugin and it's a shame that it's suffering from Turbine's bugs.
