using BuffBars 2.0.0 and CombatAnalysis 4.1.2 I was able to get Mob debuffs to show, but is there any way I can get the Mob Immune to FM status (which shows straight after an FM has been triggered). This would be very handy on my burg (especially in Draigoch), however it looks like its a Mob Buff, rather than a Debuff.
I find it really annoying to have to watch and wait for the tiny red icon disappear.

I'm using a french lotro client.

I can no more use the option menu with v2, even after a proper installation, including the deletion of the previous plugindata's buffbars settings file.

When looking for buffbar's option menu, it opens the plugiun manager option tab with no data displayed inside.
I also get this message :

BuffBars 2.0.0

If I do anything with the plugin (add something to the blacklist, add a pot etc.) and save it, I can't use it a second time. It doesn't depend on the loading methode (manually or with the manager). I got the following error in the chat window:
Quote:
...ugins\PengorosPlugins\BuffBars\EffectBarSetting s.lua:158: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)
...ugins\PengorosPlugins\BuffBars\EffectBarSetting s.lua:158: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)
If I try to load the options, the plugin manager says that this plugin doesn't have options. After deleting the config file, I can load it again. If it's necessary I can send you the file.

Another step backwards: The new option window. First you've to resize it before you can use it. Because the window don't have those "resize corners", you don't even try it. Some resizing-steps are needed before you can use it with german. Some words are too long and doesn't fit in the tabs etc.

To load the plugin manually, I've to type "BuffBars", to remove it I've to type "Vitals". Can you change this?

I added many lines (copy&paste) into de.lua and tried to load BB, but it won't switch to german anymore - sometimes the client crashes. Any help on this? I used the same style as the existing lines.
Quote:
L["english"] = "german";
I hope I could help. Did you read my translation request? I would like to help out because A LOT (!!!!) strings are not translated or could be changed.

@fwskateboard: There's a few bugs on the CombatAnalysis end atm. That bug you noted will occur whenever you use a toggle debuff (Reveal Weakness, etc).

EFIT: A fix is up. Download CA 4.1.2 and all those problems should be fixed, though the Mob Debuff/CC icons will look a bit odd until Buffbars is updated again.

I'm having trouble getting the new mobs debuffs to track. I have created a sepperate buffbars window and placed it to the right of my mob vitals, combat analysis updated and running, I have the triggers as only "mob debuffs" and "mob cc" and yet nothing appears on the bar at all. If you can lend some advice that would be appreciated. Thanks!

Also getting this error in combat:

...line\Plugins\PengorosPlugins\BuffBars\EffectIte m.lua:140: attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'duration' (a nil value)

It appears to have been fixed, hurrah!

I ran a test using buffbars plugin only, and was not able to replicate the crashes.

Is this a know issue? plugin manager/bootstrap causing crashes with buffbars if you reload the plugins via the interface? Is there a workaround?
There is a known bug with the underlying :GetAttributes() method which Turbine is fixing on Monday with Update 6. The bug causes the client to become unstable when any plugin that accesses :GetAttributes() is unloaded (even if reloaded) and the unstable client will then crash as soon as you access many skills or perform many actions like mounting a horse. This is probably the issue you are encountering - try testing it again after Monday's update.

I tried to load it manually - as I did before - and it works again. Turbines manager is - in the current state - a waste of time.

I've the same problem that BuffBars forget the pot settings. Of course, loading the option window and click save solved it, but it's not a nice solution. The plugin is loaded with Bootstrap 1.4.
There must be something subtle going on here because I've not seen this bug since I started using only Bootstrap 1.4 to launch plugins.
Perhaps there is some other plugin conflicting with BuffBars?
Perhaps it is related to the order in which the plugins are launched by Bootstrap?

And, just in case it is important, how do you launch Bootstrap?
I know you said you use Bootstrap to launch BuffBars.
But I have found that the pots error also occurs if a) Turbine's plugin manager is used to autoload Bootstrap, and b) Bootstrap is configured to autoload BuffBars.
I avoid this problem by launching Bootstrap manually with a short alias command once the character is logged in.

Feature Requests

I don't these are critical, or even a secondary need, but here are a couple of suggestions to consider (besides PartyMember funtionality) while we await Lua updates coming with the next iteration of LOTRO.

The "Edit to set the shortcut" note does not appear unless one clicks on a condition/quickslot to edit it in the first place then hits "Accept" to go back to the overview window. So, like the previous poster, I have to click on each to see if there is an item assigned to it, and to see what its show item conditions are.
I imagine it would be a bit of work, but could you show an icon for what would be triggered for a particular entry in the quickslot overview window?

What would be even better is if the quickslot overview window also showed a summary of:
the template (ie curable, morale, power, custom) ,
the condition setting (ie is/is not present, % morale, % power, at least the first part of the custom's search term)
and what item or skill is in the quickslot

Rehashing what a previous poster appeared to be pointing towards, it would be awesome if curable quickslot triggers also could be filtered by user-set debuff level. For example, poisoned < level 21, poisoned < level 10, etc.

Finally, please include the ability to make the quickslot bars orient vertically instead of only horizontally.

Note, these are only requests for tweaks.
I consider BuffBars indispensable regardless!

Yes it was changed to allow more flexibility in defining what conditions would popup a pot/skill. You can tell if you need to look at it still from the main window. If the name includes "Edit to set the shorcut" then the quickslot is invalid. However it won't detect cases where the quickslot is valid but you are out of pots .

Error loading BuffBars

Quote:
An other problem:
I loaded the plugin. I logged out to fix it in case of a crash. When I logged in, it wrote out the next:
...inData/"accountname"/[EN]Snowbourn/"charactername"/BuffBarsSettings.plugindata:6: ']' expected near ','
...Online\Plugins\PengorosPlugins\BuffBars\Setting s.lua:67: Unable to parse file!
unable to load "buffbars".
[...]
Take a look at the bugs-section. There's a workaround in the comments to this bug, that might just work for you.

Sorry, missed an earlier post -- just an observation that Turbine apparently hasn't fixed the inventory update issues with the API. So you're stuck doing work arounds with Buffbars if you want it to show potions properly if you're using the Turbine plugin manager.

My workaround has just been to right click buffbars, pick settings, click save settings and that's that. Seems to work, of course I only remember once I'm in some huge battle and getting debuffs.

Quickslot bar rotation?

Can the quickslot bars be rotated?
I'm thinking something similar to how KragenBars incorporated DeusDictum's DragBar classes.

If not, then please consider this a feature request.
BuffBars is great for its trigger capabilities with curables and morale/power.
