Error

The hud displays seem to be working, but I'm getting the following error and I can't open the setup.

...\plugins\orendarPlugins\BuffBars\EffectWindow.l ua:417 attempt to index field 'BuffBars' (a nil value)

Any ideas?

error....

So i downloaded the file, unzipped into LOTRO file. After that i clicked on the API examples link, and did the same thing (but i put it in the Pengoros Plugins file). After that i logged into my toon and did the cmnd: /plugins load buffbars and it said unable to load "buffbars". Once i saw that i went back and downloaded the dragbar class and put it in the same file "Pengoros Plugins file" and went back to my toon, this is after logging out and coming back in, and it still said the same thing when i did the command. Can someone explain to me what is going on? Am i putting the files in the right place or what? I really want these buffbars because they look awesome and would be an amazing interface to add to my arsenal for boss fights, ect... Thank you.

update

I've updated the plugin which should resolve the errors the last few posters have mentioned. Let me know if it doesn't work.

Loving the buffbar, but today I went to set it up on my other toon and I can not move the bars. Is there a trick to them? I was able to move them on my other toon (main one that I have had since LUA was available), so I checked and now I can't.

They should be movable via Ctrl+\

I just realized you have the beta version installed as well as the current one. Delete the OrendarPlugins folder and it should start working for you.

I've tried, but for some reason they don't have the box for it. I'll try reinstalling it again and see if that helps.

Great job btw....

Download the 1.1.2 version, it should work for you. Also make sure you don't have an OrendarPlugins folder hanging around either.

You can setup multiple quick slot bars, and slot different level pots in those bars, or even skills. You would still have to decide which one to use for wound/fear/disease/poison, but gives you multiple options. I do this on my LM, one bar contains curing skills and the other pots.
Oh, I do that too, but it can be hard to keep track of the strength of the various effects. For example, if I get a level 15 wound then the game will still let me try to use a level 10 potion on it, but it'll just waste the potion and leave the wound unaffected. Similarly, it'll let me use a level 20 potion on it, which will get rid of the wound but means I could have used a smaller potion (so have "wasted" the extra strength).

Maybe a simpler option: could BuffBars "call out" the strength of the debuff? eg. show "15" next to the debuff icon, so we can see the minimum potion strength required?

The api doesn't include the level of the debuff unfortunately. Hopefully it will be included in a future update.

I've been using this plugin for a while and really like it. I was just wondering if an option could be added to display the buffs/debuffs horizontally instead of vertically with an option to show the text timer and hide the bar graph timer. If the bar graph timer is shown it could optionally go up or down from the image. If all that is possible then this plugin would definitely be on my must-have list.

ne\Plugins\PengorosPlugins\BuffBars\QuickslotBar.lua:297: attempt to perform arithmet

Got this error when trying to spar a Loremaster tonight

ne\Plugins\PengorosPlugins\BuffBars\QuickslotBar.l ua:297: attempt to perform arithmetic on field '?' (a nil value)

Had a number of people with the plugin installed try it and got the same error. The other strange thing was the Loremaster's skills were showing up on the slider even though I had it configured to only show dispellable effects.

Otherwise rocking plugin. Thanks a bunch.
