Much appreciated. I really like the looks of this plugin and appreciate how much work you've put in to it.
Thanks, it has rather been on the back-burner for a while. I have tried a change to the option box, makes the sliders a little funky, but if you could have a try and see what happens I would be a happy man!

Re: Re: Nice Bars plugin

I am sorry to hear about your woes. The arrows on the sliders don't work too well and is something I want to fix.

I will look at the other errors when Ofsted have gone!

However, I'm so frustrated with trying to set it up I'm about to give up on it.

I'm trying to create a pop-up box with 3 boxes on it. The arrow to increase the number of boxes doesn't do anything. Clicking and dragging the slider bar doesn't do anything. Manually entering 3 in the box enters the number 10. However when turning off the ctrl\ resets everything to the original.

After changing the number of boxes & clicking the pop-up check box I get
...Rings Online\Plugins\JackdawPlugins\Bevy2\PopUps.lua:121 : attempt to index field 'Pop' (a nil value)
when I right-click on it.

Having the same problem trying to change the backcolor.

I got it to work for my Minstrel, but I remember having to change each thing one at a time & exit the game & reenter each time. Certainly not intuitive & not easy to set up at all.
Once I accidentally got it set the way I wanted with the Minstrel it works fantastic for him. (I say accidentally because I can't get it set up on my Warden by doing the same things so far)

Is there any chance you could try the LotroAlerts plugin and see if you get the crash there too? If you do please tell Garan as it is more evidence for them.

Excellent!

I can't reproduce the mount bug here, which is a bit of a bind. If I can't see it I can't fix it! However, bigger brains than mine are working on this - Garan.

Thanks for your efforts!
I thought i could though help by saying that i have actually :
- Bevy
- Lotro Alert
- Bootstrap
- Ministrel buffs
- Lotropad
- Travel
- Songbook
- buffsbars
and with all of those i never ever encountered the mount bug or crash. I tried to reproduce it but no way (i dont complain ) but as you can notice i have none of the bags plugins.

I am under windows xp and from time to time i have even two clients logged and no crash. I play under the english client though my computer and XP is in french

Re: Re: Client crashing

I see that you have posted an update. Thanks! Will try it out.

The modules I am using are few (only discovered this site!) I am using the altinventory, the daily tasks, manager, and bevy. That's it.

Does this add on give the ability to have more quickslots?
Yes, as many as you like. You may also like Tonic Bars or KragenSlots.

the RK fail:

...ngs Online\Plugins\JackdawPlugins\Bevy2\function.lua:1 05: Failed to import package "JackdawPlugins.Bevy2.Runekeeper".
I have a suspicion what may be causing this bug. New version going up now.

The mount bug however is mysterious. I did find a section on the Bootstrap page where it was discovered LotroAlerts caused the same crash, but I have not had the time to finish my research.

EDIT: Looking at LotroAlerts it is not as simple as I thought! Even Garan is having trouble tracing the source. It seems to be related to reloading plugins. I have sent him a private mail to see what progress has been made.

Re: Re: Client crashing

Interesting! First bug report of this kind. Which modules are you using?

the same here but when unmounting (okay later also when mounting)...also cannot load sume rk-related modules/packages.

at first i load it, then removing the default bar as i didnt want to set this up right now (doing it later), then choosed which modules to load...next time loadinng it didnt loaded/saved the setting i did :/

the RK fail:
...s Online\Plugins\JackdawPlugins\Bevy2\Runekeeper.lua :15: attempt to index global 'Watcher' (a nil value)
...s Online\Plugins\JackdawPlugins\Bevy2\Runekeeper.lua :93: Failed to import package "JackdawPlugins.Bevy2.Proc".
...ngs Online\Plugins\JackdawPlugins\Bevy2\function.lua:1 05: Failed to import package "JackdawPlugins.Bevy2.Runekeeper".

when loading monitor module i did travel and un/mount a lot and other stuff..just for case
except stance, skin, popup loaded all of modules

...s Online\Plugins\JackdawPlugins\Bevy2\Runekeeper.lua :15: attempt to index global 'Watcher' (a nil value)
also appears when i fight monster with RK (getting high and low attun)

I use BEvy since long, tried to reproduce your bug on a f2p character, could not crash (happily :P)

I just did an install of Bevy...along with the additional downloads required. I had two bars set up. It would remember only one bar and the client completely crashes when I mount a horse. No joke. I tested over and over. Horse = crash. Without the plugin loaded things were fine with no crashes.

Has anyone had either of these problems - multiple bars not saving and client crashes?
