Hi MrJackdaw,
yes, I'm German. So, I guess, I have to be patient .
Best regards,
Gilbin.

Gilbin, are you German? If so... I haven't applied a multi-region patch to this plugin yet. It's in the works, but I am snowed under at the moment with work.

Hi MrJackdaw,
I wanted to try your Bevy 'o Bars, which looks very attractive to me.
The first loading of your plugin went without any problems. I could customize a pop-up bar for my traveling. However, from the second loading on, the following error messages appeared, and the loading of Bevy o' Bars failed:
.../PluginData/xxx/[DE] yyy/zzz/BevyOBars2.plugindata:3: ']' expected near ','
...\Plugins\JackdawPlugins\Bevy2\function.lua:33: Unable to parse file!
Deletion of the BevyOBars2.plugindata file allowed to start up from scratch, but after this file has been created by your plugin, even without any customization, the next loading does not work anymore with the same error messages as given above.
Could you please check this?
If you need more informations, I'd be happy to help!
Best regards,
Gilbin.

Warning: When you first enable the Monitor Module it does not auto-start in some cases. You will need to do a reload of plugins after enabling it. Fixed in next version.

Re: Re: Re: KragenBars?

Well I like your set up, I like the ability to customize things exactly the way I want. Kragen has some issues with bars overlapping and in a way that makes certain bars almost impossible to click. I haven't delved into setting up my bars with your plugin yet. I'll let you know when I do.
|
No problem!
Note; there are still issues turning up, especially with the skin module. Every now and then I find one myself. The proc modules and stance module are not as useful now I have written the Monitor module - may I suggest you start there? If nothing else... it gives me another playtester!

Now, I have to say that there are a few bar mods out there and we all do essentially the same thing - but in different ways. Kragen comes pre-setup and ready to roll. That is brilliant! If it had been out before I started developing bevy, I probably would have never written it.
Bevy is very different, as nothing comes pre-set. You have to do all the work yourself. It is not as user friendly either. I don't have the time/inclination to write decent documentation. But, I know some people like that!
Kragen, Tonic, and Bevy - same thing, different foci!

I really like the looks of this but I have a question. Does this essentially replace Kragen bars? Assuming of course I set it up to my liking?

Monitor
Yes, the new feature needs a better tutorial. BUT! I am only going to write one if it is requested by enough people.
The main points are;
- If the "Not" box is ticked the bar will appear if the player does NOT have one of the buffs listed
- Otherwise the bar will appear if the player has ANY of the buffs listed
- The spelling must be PERFECT including case and punctuation. Beware special characters such as '
- The collecting module is there to make the previous point moot!
EDIT: next feature is a patch for FR and DE support, if and when Vindar gets back to me...

Any chance on this getting fixed or is it yet another error that we must wait on turbine to fix with lua?

I have a fix that is, in my terminology a NASTY HACK!, but it works. Wish Turbine would hurry up and fix the errors. Then again, when they do I will probably have to recode all my plugins!
