Die Konfiguration wird übernommen. In Ausnahmefällen muss man leider noch einmal neu konfigurieren, meist klappt es aber.

Disapearance of TonicBars

Hi dudes

First (again), I'm sorry for my poor English laguage for I'm French user of this GREAT plugin!! Then, secondly: THANKS!!!! It changed my way to play!

BUT. I have a problem and would like to know if any help or else on this...

When I hide the UI (by pressing the key for this - for a screen shot in exemple...) and press again the key to show the UI again, then, I have some troubles with the generated bars.

Sometimes, the bars just disapear... I have to quit and launch to solve...
Sometimes, bars are visible, but when the mouse is mooving on screen, they all flash (appear/disapear high speed...)

Can someone help me to solve this? I'd like to hide/show tonicbars without those troubles..

Many thanks again for that great Plugin!
Friendly yours
Gloradan (Sirannon - FR)

[EDIT] Sometimes, when pressing the key to hide the UI, there still some tonic bars... kite strange...

I LOVE this plugin! But....

This would be sooo much better if I could have a few more class triggers for the Rune Keeper. Specifically, I'd love class triggers for:
Calming Verse
Do Not Fall to XXX
Blade shall not wound
Fang shall not poison
All fates entwined

Further, I can't seem to get the In/Out of Combat triggers to work in conjunction with the class triggers. If I have a bar set up to only be active when the 'In Combat' trigger is selected and 'Buff not active' selected, it is always visible, regardless of whether or not I'm in combat. How can i set it so that it is only visible when I'm in combat and don't have the buff?

NuclearTonic, thanks for your awesome work.

If there's one thing I'd love to see, it's the ability to have additional rows in an Extension bar. My friend and I would love to put our 30+ mounts all in one pop-out bar, but having it all in a single row is a bit much.

Re: Copy and Paste

Sorry, I've been away from this for a while. Settling a lot with Work, Family, etc.

But, I have some changes in the works for you. It should allow you to copy Bars from one character and either push them to another character, or copy them from another character to the current character. Now, because of the way I have everything setup, this would only work between characters on a single server.

That fix I might make at some later time, but in the mean time, you would just have to rename the character in the .plugindata.

Copy and Paste

Hey Guys, I got a question as well.

I took the time to create a bar with all the emotes in extensions. Meaning I created an emote bar and each of the 8 slots had an extension for Deed emotes, Greetings, Farewells, Dances, Bored, Bother, and Frustrated.

It took quite a while to make it, so rather than spend all that time on all 10 of my characters I tried just copying the bar and each extension bar from one character to another. No good, it just broke the whole plugin on that character that I created new bars for.

So, I tried creating the bars and even duplicating the number of slots and sizes in each. Still no Joy. I get. . .

...s Online\Plugins\Tonic\TonicBars\Bars\BarManager.lua :141: attempt to call method 'RegisterBarExtension' (a nil value)

Is there a way to copy just one plugin bar or extension. The copy feature you put in is great, but it only copies EVERYTHING lol. And I have 10 characters each of a different class, so each requires different layouts.

If anyone can help me out, I'd be more than willing to share the file data to save others the time of doing all this.

Oh, and before the flamers jump out in their asbestos suits, yes I know there is a plugin already for emotes. However Emo forces you to use a random or cyclic emote of whatever type you want to use. So you cannot just select the one you want and use it.

Thanks for your time and consideration

Probably shouldn't do this

Love this plugin. Only one I really need.

Just thought I'd put a warning out about something that got me today: A while back I created a shortcut for "/plugins unload" and put it in an extension bar.

Clicking it now (with current tonic bars as well as the previous rev) gives me a total game lockup. Total. It's weird, as I'm pretty sure it used to be fine, probably a few updates ago....but somewhere along the line it became lethal. At least for my system.

Backing up Tonic Bars and Cross-Server operation

First - backup.... I simply create another folder: "Plugin-stuff" in /Documents/T...LOTRO.../ and make a copy of the plugins and data files and whatever in that directory. For example, I keep both the zip source files and the extracted files in that directory so that I can tell what versions I have installed. Granted, the backup process is 120% manual -- meaning, I do forget to make copies at all the wrong times

[I must confess, I'm an old Unix SysAdmin and play LOTRO via WINE on a Mac, but the directory structure and so forth are the same under Windows.]

Second... Cross-Server operation.

I was just listening to Brygard's Interview @ LotroAcademy.com
http://lotroacademy.com/?p=375
and looking at the Lorebook entry for /UI:
http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki//UI_Command

The /UI command contains the comment: "Then you can log on another character (even if it's on a different server)"

Tonic Bars, however, contains the comment: "Copy the entire bar setup from another character on the same server."

So, looking at the file layouts for /Plugins /PluginData and /UI/Layouts the question becomes...
Who determines the fact that PluginData is stored as /PluginData/<account>/<server>/ ???

The Plugins themselves (as well as the UI Layouts) are visible across servers.... so why not the PluginData?

Being a SysAdmin, not a programmer, I barely have an understanding of the Beta LUA documentation document. That said, I read...
Turbine/PluginData/PluginData Methods/Save
dataScope
Type: number
The scope of the data. This specifies the level of availability of this data when loading. Data scope can be specified to an Account, a Server, or to a specific Character.

To me this implies that one can DEFINE where the Data is saved ... and conversely DEFINE which Data is read ... independent of the defaults.
This also implies that one could just as easily have a "backup" button which writes a copy of the data to another location-name.

Also, it seems when a quickslot has an item that is no longer in my inventory (such as a potion or food item), the next time I load TonicBars, that quickslot is removed and I get this message: "TonicBars has found an invalid quickslot, it has been removed, but you were saved by: Pengoros!!" I'm assuming it was added to prevent TonicBars from loading a bad quickslot and possibly crashing the plugin or game, but is there anyway to force save specific quickslots so I can keep my potions and food setups even if I don't have any in my inventory?
Sadly, Not that I'm aware of. I will try and not do the fix and remove the quickslot and maybe we won't crash the client anymore, but basically. It would cause an issue where you could NEVER load TonicBars (or any other plugin doing this) because the client would then crash. This was a Turbine problem that was addressed, but I tried removing this code at some point and it caused a problem, so I had to put it back in. I'll try again and see what happens. thanks.

Its fixed and in the latest SVN version (but not in a released version). It'll make its way into the next official build.

Thanks for the reply.

Re: Re: saving the layout...

I always try to keep backwards compatibility with the last few releases. Meaning, if you are upgrading within a few releases of one another, your settings should ALL transfer. Every time.

If they do not, please tell me, I want to fix it.

Re: saving the layout...

Simple, copy your TonicBars setting files from the C:\Users\(Username)\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\PluginData\(PlayerName)\Silverlode\AllChara cters. Then, you can either drop the whole thing back in if something goes wrong. Though with patching you are taking your chances with this. Or you can cut and paste sections within the file into their assigned places in the new file

saving the layout...

my question is similar to the previous post, I'm more interested in not having to spend a lot of time setting everything back up the way I like it, whenever there is a new update is there a way to install the new update, then load your previous setup? maybe not in an auto way but any trick /copy/paste option would help if one is known, thanks.

p.s. this really is a great plugin, makes my life soo much easier
