Hello,
as I am Roleplayer I noticed a BUG with shorttexts.
sry I use the german client, so you may not recognize my commands.
WHen I use /shorttext 7 COMMAND to get a new "spell" like "/drink" ... sometimes that spell just disappears from TonicBars. This does NOT happen to usual spells like a skill. It does NOT happen on the standard-bars.

I did some TESTs for you:
-when moving a shortext ONTO tonicbars it won't be removed, 10 of 10tries
-when moving a shortext FROM tonicbars anywhere (To tonicbars or To standardbars) it will be removed, 10 of 10 tries


Another notice:
WHen you use "Mouse over" when holding an item, mouse over will not be triggered.

I'm not sure what you mean here. I did not mean adding triggers or visibility for creep classes (although that would be nice aswell), but simply adding a trigger option for when you are in a Monster Play zone (only Ettenmoors for now).

I made this quick picture to show you what i mean. Sorry for the terrible Photoshop work, but I think you get what I'm trying to show.



For the record, Monster Play doesn't mean only Monster classes, but also Free Peoples in the Ettenmoors (and future PvMP zones).

I hope this clears things up a bit. Would this be possible to add?

That being said, I will try to introduce a backup system so that a failed write doesn't do this again! Simply, create backup first, then try to write new file, if successful, remove the old. I'll have to experiment a little for feasibility, but I think it can be done.

Okay, thanks for trying! I'll just make a backup once I re-do them all and that should take care of any similiar problems in the future.

Glad to hear you figured it out!

Sorry buddy, nothing I can do. The Client crashed while writing files. I'm happy to hear the crash had no relivance to TonicBars, but I'm sad to report the entire file was lost.

Since the latest update was release, I have been getting an error that unables me to load tonicbars. This is what I get:

\Plugins\Tonic\TonicBars\SettingsManager.lua:14: attempt to call field 'LocalPlayer' (a table value)
Unable to load "tonicbars".

It worked right before the update, but as soon as it patched, that error started showing up. I already tried to re-download and re-install every single file, but I still get the error. Thanks for your help and nice plugin I might add.

EDIT: I fixed it, turns out I had multiple tonicbars files, and It must have messed it up.

Can you make a setting to setup some kind of delay when the cursor release the skillbars?

It would be nice for hunter's travel skillbar, when i almost reach the last skill on the bar i sometimes get out of the "line" and the skillbar disappears and i have to start it over. T_T

That is EVERYTHING that you would need for this plugin. Back that up. As to what happened this is strange, I havn't seen a issue like this yet? Any indication what caused the client to crash? That error string is not one of mine, so I'm assuming it's the game saying that it can't parse the settings, which is even more strange. Send that along, it'll help determine what happened.

Earlier today I had a game-crash while I had the tonicbar interface open (sigh), and now the plugin won't work. I get an error of "unable to parse settings file". Rebooting didn't help. Is there anyway to recover my settings w/o re-doing all 10 of my toons? And to prevent this from happening again, what files should I backup next time? Everything, probably eh?

The Conditional Triggers are all based on the buffs. You can add the ones you like in the /tonic/tonicbars/localization/<language>/<class>.lua

Once you add them You can send me the updated files at: [email protected] and I'll include them for the public. There are so many buffs, I can't do all of them, I need the community to help me on these. If I am missing any others, please feel free to let me know and help out!

I just tried the conditional stuff with my minstrel because in battle I sometimes get silenced and then forget to turn the tale on again. I though of creating a second tonic bar somewhere in the center of the screen which only pops up if there is no tale active. However I only found Tale of Warding and Tale of Battle in the condition settings. For those two it works fine. If you select both the bar only shows up if another tale is running, if one of these two is turned on it vanishes as it should. The problem is that there are two (in yellow trait set even four) other tales available for a ministrel.

Do you plan to add the other four to the condition settings as well? Or add a combined option "if any tale is turned on".
I didn't check how this works if there are two minstrels in the same group. However that should rarley be the case

I've got the solution for german users: I tried to convert the file to UTF-8 with Notepad++ (great tool I used when I was leading translation coordinator of Simple Machines Forum), but it didn't help. The right way was UTF-8 without BOM. After that, every stance was working.

Another problem was the trigger for "Perry response". It didn't work because the german buff name is - Erwiderung "Parade" -. You used the double quotation marks for the code, so you can't use another pair of it inside. I changed them to simple quotation marks and everything is fine.

What is the buff "Hustle"? I can't find it with my hunter. Can you tell me, which icon appears or what happens if you use it? Could you use this page?

Why are the strings of heart-seeker and burn hot missing in the english files?
I think Camp is the fire which helps regenerating yourself and your mates, right?
