I'm glad you enjoy the plugin. Sadly there is no way to do what you are describing. We can't determine if the skill is applicable right now. But... but...

I'll let you in on a little secret. I'm working on something that should help that. It'll be something that will allow for some amount of class specific tailoring. It might not work on all classes as well as I'm hoping, but it's one of the few things the API provides.

I'm hoping to have it out in the next week.

Not currently. That would be very nice, but the API doesn't support it.

thank you for your time and effort on this plugin. I like it alot!

That being said, I had an idea of something to be added, and not sure if ya had time to add it in.

Basicly, I'm trying to find a way to hide abilitys they aren't truly avalible. i know you have certain conditions to show hotkeys, being low health and all, but none of those work for what i'm thinking of.

EXAMPLE::
Captain -- they use Rawr type ability, while that ability is active on then, they can use other certain other abilitys..

Captaion -- after defeating an enimy, a select set of skills become avalible to them to use

Is there anyway to either detect those properties to account for (that would take awhile, as there is probly many of them to acount for) .. or is there anyway to add an option to HIDE hotkey, if it's not a skill that is currently usable? not sure if there is a way to check that in the API . .just figured I would ask, thank!

Including that (and any other commands) in the documentation would be very helpful. I've made a TonicBar Extension that holds shortcuts for all my plugins, and I couldn't figure out how to add TonicBar until I saw this post. I tried /tonic and /tonicbar to no avail

Thanks for this utility! I presume there's no way to have a LOTRO plugin actually replace the main quickbar so I can change what skills are triggered by the number keys, like I can without ANY addons in WoW... *sigh*...I just want to have a different skill order when my mini is soloing from when he's in a fellowship...

is there by any chance you can inlcude the option for bar extensions-

stop displaying extension when: never

bascially im asking whther you could include an option where bar extensions are always visible

From my side, I still can't make it happen.

I am using your latest version 1.5.2, and look over all the info about similar cases.

Now, we talk about DE, FR and EN. In this case, I am not in any country stated. I am a French Canadian (yes I know) living in Indonesia, on a English Windows 7 using a French Canadian Keyboard setup (for word processing) which I switch into EN if necessary.

What I see here, is this OS issue can be more complex than we thought.

Hope this can help for future versions. I feel sad I cannot use this amazing plugin.

Question: Are you launching the plugin using a shortcut and using the ALT-9 or 1-9 to launch it? The only time I've found that this occurs is when launched from a shortcut using a hot-key. Which, appears to be a LUA / API issue.


I am launching Tonic from a plugin manager which is itself launched from a shortcut. However, yesterday, I was launching Tonic directly from a shortcut and the same strange behavior occured (I am using the french lotro client). I don't recall having any trouble when launching it directly from the prompt (but I did not tried that many times).

Maybe you can run all your plugins at once if you combine them with several alias via /alias ;plug1; plug2, plug3 etc.. Afterwards, make a shortcut-icon with that combo. Maybe this works better than this plugin-manager.

You are right. I am starting the LUA plugins using Cearbhalls PluginManager, the way that I have created a /shortcut executing /zusatzmodule laden manager (same as "/plugins load manager"). This activates all my installed LUA plugins.

Very nice plugin indeed

The only problem I have so far is that described by Dreadnaught: its seems there is a problem saving the positions of the extensions. After reloading they sometime come back at a wrong position....

Anyway, my hunter thank you very much for all the hard work you've done !

Hey there, after messing around with the plugin for nothing on my German client, I finally get everything to work now thanks to v1.5.2.
There are only few minor things to consider maybe:

1. The goblet main-menu button is often not responding if you click on it
2. The goblet main-menu icon should start (optionally) transparent without the need to click on it first
3. The goblet main-menu icon would look nicer in the same square-form as other icons, so you can place it between or next to other icons, like the connection chain-icon
4. The checkbox "Display?" isn’t very helpful if it makes the button vanish permanently, so you can’t configure anything anymore afterwards. The only way to make it appear again is to edit the PluginData file? Maybe a special command like /tonicbars hide/show would be more useful then
5. The Import feature with v1.5.2 won’t show the bars immediately like it did before. Only after reloading the plugin

These are at least issues on my German client.
With v1.5.2, I deleted the old PluginData file, remade all bars and have no position issues with the extensions on my custom vertical 5-slot bar, unlike what the previous poster Dreadnaught mentioned.

Anyway, great plugin you did there. The very first I’m going to use and highly recommend everyone to use as well. Thanks a lot!

Just tested your V1.5.2 on a german client and reloading data worked out fine. But evertime I restart the client the "Bar Extensions" don't appear at the "Mainbar" (which I have moved to the bottom of the screen) but on the center of the screen. Only after slightly moving the "Mainbar" the "Bar Extensions" redock correctly. I have to say this behavior could also be observed on TonicBar Verisons before.
