Hello!

I've been using Palantir and it is a great stuff. Rcently (after the Moira update) it doesn't loading. I get two errors:
...Online\Plugins\DigitalUtopia\Palantir\MainWindo w.lua:51: attempt to call field 'LocalPlayer' (a table value)
...Online\Plugins\DigitalUtopia\Palantir\PosWindow .lua:138: attempt to index local 'test' (a nil value)

If you need more info just tell me and I will try to get it.

Regards
All you need to do is download the latest version which provides fixes for the changes that came with the November update

Hmm. that definitely isn't intended. Since you said that this just happened suddenly, it may take a bit to track down the cause - but I will certainly look into it and do my best to get to the bottom of this. Sorry for the trouble
Eh, no trouble really, just gotta squint a little Thanks for your attention to this

Since this cropped up so recently after a patch I'm wonderin' if there's a correlation, like maybe the Turbine Utilities (or whatever they're called) got changed? None of the other plugins I use (Buffbars, TonicBars, Align & Shady Manager) seem to be impacted but maybe Palantir interacts with them in a way the other plugins don't?

This is weird cuz it seems to have just cropped up suddenly. It seems the Debuff Bar and Cooldown Indicators opacities are now both controlled by the Bar Opacity slider and that they are inversely proportional to each other. IOW moving the Bar Opacity slider to the left decreases the Debuff Bar opacity but increases the Cooldown Indicators opacity while moving it to the right increases the Debuff Bar opacity but decreases the Cooldown Indicators opacity.

I dunno if it's always been this way or if that's the intended behaviour but I'm thinkin' not cuz I'm an old guy and need things bright to be able to see 'em so I've always set all of Palantir's opacity sliders to 1.00. I only just noticed this because now with the Bar Opacity slider set to 1.00 the Cooldown Indicators become invisible and I thought they'd stopped workin'.

What happened to changelogs?
That's a very good question. Actually, an even better one would be:

"Why have a separate spot for changelogs on the Edit page, if there's no way to view them?"

At any rate, I'll put them back for now.

Re: Re: Palantir Lag

Well, to be honest this is the first I've heard of this issue and at this point I'm not exactly sure what would cause it. I can think of one possibility off the top of my head, as it's one of the few things I've actually changed since the last version, so I'll work on making that a bit more efficient. However, I can't guarantee that it's going to solve the problem - so I may need to have you test it before I release a fix - if that's ok with you.

Sounds good. I saw your later post, will re-download and check it out and will let you know. And I would be more than willing to test anything out in the future.

Still having issues with the file DebuffBar.lua (line 1207) on initial load and then if i try to reload with the manager i get an error in PosWindow.lua (line 137).

Performed a chat capture and this is what was returned through the system.:

Entered the Enedwaith - OOC channel.
... Online\Plugins\DigitalUtopia\Palantir\DebuffBar.lu a:1207: attempt to call field 'Item' (a table value)
Unable to load "palantir".
Next time you have the game open, please type the following in the chat window:

/plugins refresh

and you will see a list of plugins, with version numbers in parenthesis. Make sure there's only one Palantir, and the version says 1.09.1 if you're a US player, or 1.08.3 if you're an EU player.

I've checked both the 1.08.3 and 1.09/1.09.1 version and neither DebuffBar.lua file has anything involving "Item" at line 1207. In v1.08.3 it's the start of the poison slot's "ShortcutChanged" event, and in 1.09/1.09.1 it's the positioning of the poison slot's "infinity" symbol.

It's possible that you either haven't upgraded recently, somehow have more than one version of Palantir installed, or mistakenly put the newer version in the wrong place. Please let me know what you discover so I may better help you!

Hi DU, great plugin! Thanks so much for making this.

I was wondering if it would be possible to have an option for the Game Vitals to fade out with the Palantir vitals. I'm basically just looking for a way to show my Game Vitals *only* in-combat, and this is closest to doing that.

Thanks again!
It would be possible to show the game vitals only in combat; but not fade them. Other than hiding/showing (some) game elements, Lua has no control over the appearance of such elements. I will keep that setting in mind for a future update though.

Yeah, I guessed correctly. Tweaked the bars a bit to prevent the ghosting, and removed the resource hogging code. Palantir should perform as well as it did before 1.09 now.

Ive got the same bug as well, Anytime Palantir is on the screen my fps drops from about 125 to 35fps.
