I really enjoy this plugin, which has made it easier to see my health and power in the thick of battle. As a guardian, I just don't have the time to take my eyes off the action to see my health and power up in the corner of a big wide screen monitor.
I have encountered an issue with the latest build on my hunter though. I put Purge Poison on the bar on the bottom. But, every time I use it there, the following error spams the chat window until I reload all of the plugins (seriously, it'll keep spamming this forever unless I reload the plugins):
Quote:
DebuffBar.lua:1312:attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'pCD' (a nil value)
|
So, for now, I have Purge Poison on my normal bars until this issue is resolved.
Happy hunting!

I noticed you say that hiding vitals will disable the ability to use the vitals options menu. It it possible to reskin the original vitals into a small icon that would simply serve to bring up the menu?
Just a thought.

I would imagine it's possible - however, not with Lua. As you said, that would require a skin - which is something I've never really gotten into.

Glad to hear it! Now I can go back to working on the next version

If I edit the graphics in the Resources folder can I make my own custom bars? I love the curves, but part of me pines for straighter lines!

Technically yes, but keep in mind that it's not designed (yet) in order to react to bars that are smaller/skinnier. This goes for everything from the display itself to the text positioning. So in order for it to work properly, you'd have to go in and play with the code as well.
I would strongly suggest that you wait a bit, as the next "real" update is going to be designed with custom bars in mind, including a companion mini-plugin desigined to make it easy to position text appropriately, as well as see your changes in real-time.

Moving the bars
I play on a Mac with a 2560x1440 screen. Loading the latest build the bars show up in the middle of the screens northwest quadrant. (Not centered by my character in the middle of the screen.)
I didn't see an option to locate the bars, only the debuff (and that relative to the bars with only a vertical adjustment).
Am I missing something in the options, or do I need to edit the lua?
(I love the concept and have played with a hud in WoW for years.)
Dur. Nice, it's integrated into the UI. Use Ctrl-\ to move like everything else. Sweet.

Okay...good news I think, the cause was kinda a wallbanger, but here goes:
Apparently, the file class.lua never made it into the package. This may explain the fact that it would work after commenting out the import lines, especially if you had other plugins that used the Turbine folder - and of course, would explain why it wouldn't work if you commented out those lines - should you have no plugins running that use that folder.
It would also of course explain why I never had a problem running it - after all, I had all the files, and you didn't

Thanks for the hard work on this, as others have said, it's one of the top plugins out there right now. This and Buffbars is all I even use.

Thank you all for your support, and at least attempting to help! It really is a shame, as I even tested it without anything else in the folder other than Palantir and the classes it uses, and it loaded fine - even with the Turbine folder.
So at this point - it's a real mystery. But - mysteries are meant to be solved, and this one will be as well. Besides, I'm always up for a challenge
