As mentioned above, I'm currently having some issues with my internet provider, which most likely won't be solved until later in the week. Since even making simple posts like this, takes multiple attempts, I'm not even going to attempt to download the update on Monday.
That being said, going by just the Lua related patch notes - one of the changes may result in Palantir breaking - especially when it comes to the drop-down box related settings.
In the meantime, I would appreciate it if you will continue giving feedback, and more specifically any error messages or issues you come across. I would also appreciate it if someone was willing to help test out potential fixes - so I may be able to get an update out as soon as possible.
Send me a pm if you're interested in being a guinea pig Thanks again, and I apologize for any inconvenience. If it were up to me, you'd have an update, first thing tomorrow. Well, ok - if it were really up to me, the aforementioned change wouldn't have happened in the first place; but I digress.

Versions
Is it possible to see the version number on the palantir options menu, like on the top right or bottom right, so I can better know if I have the most current one?
Also, could you order your version history from newest to oldest, with the newest at the top. I think that's the standard method and it helps people to see things easier.
All in all, an outstanding plugin. Probably among the top 5 in the game. You rock.

Well, I'm excited to see what the new and improved palantir will look like. I'll be somewhat sad to see the curable support go, but I understand the reasoning behind making a HUD-only plugin. And a second, stand-alone plugin for pots would be nice also.

Alright, you guys have probably heard me say "next major version" 5 billion times, but I've gotten to that point where I'm ready to say exactly what is coming in that version, and pretty much how everything is going to work.

Check the link I posted above - for a (very long-winded) post about what's next for Palantir. More specifically, the next major version (v2) will allow you to basically place any bar in one of 4 different directions (top,bottom,left and right) - including the debuff bar. That being said - the debuff bar may lose pot support, as I would rather just create a small plugin that would allow for quick access to any pot, and while separate from palantir, it would be designed to fit well with it (i.e. freely movable and small)

Switching location of debuff pots/indicators
Here is something I've been experiencing:
Every now and then, we I go to re-align the camera, or loot something, I accidently use one of my debuff pots. I'm wondering, is there is a way to make it where the debuff indicators and pots could be at the top of the palantir window? It would be awesome if that were a selectable option.

While I'm still experimenting with a way to achieve a similar effect, the limitations of mouse interactions and quickslots, prevent that from being doable, without making it obnoxious.
The number one problem with it is that there's no way of resizing the click area of a quickslot - so in order to pull it off, each bar would have to have multiple quickslots.
The second problem is that it wouldn't fit the confines of the graphic, meaning there would be some places outside of the bar graphic that would still accept clicks, whether or not you intended to
Finally, those two in combination would not only make it more likely to inadvertently use pots, but also interfere with game actions, such as looting corpses or clicking on quest objectives. since anything that's visible to the mouse in an addon will "block" clicks from the game.
Like I said though, I understand how useful it would be to have pots on hand like that - so I am working on a way to do so, without interfering with the game.

Well, save for class meters (i.e. fervor/focus/attunement), every piece of related data we currently have access to is displayed by Palantir. So right now that means no target's target data and not even target data.
Now, as far as the rest, it has a lot to do with why there aren't class meters in it right now. The goal for the next major release is to make Palantir much more flexible when it comes to both the number and the display of various types of bars - so that when new data becomes available, an update can easily be done, without having to rewrite a ton of code each time.
However, I'm currently having a tough time setting this as a priority, without some show of faith by Turbine. Namely, showing me that they're going to get around to adding the data that this plugin needs to become what I envisioned. Long story short, you want from Palantir, what I want it to give - the only thing standing in the way of that is Turbine at the moment.

a little suggestion

Possible hud changes?
I know that modding for here is completely diff then games such as WoW. But I've been using Palantir, great for a less visually intense HUD for tanking or just watching your M/P yourself. But was wondering if was possible for someone to make a HUD like one i used to use in Wow. IceHUD i believe it was called.

Try deleting your settings, found in Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/PluginData, look for the following files (may be in multiple folders)
Color.plugindata
Scope.plugindata
Main.plugindata
Text.plugindata
and delete them, also deleting the plugin files themselves, re-downloading the newest version, and copying it into your plugin folder. If that doesn't fix the problem, let me know and I'll see if I can get to the bottom of it.

nine times out of ten, that usually means an installation issue. Make sure the following folders are in your Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/Plugins/DigitalUtopia/ folder:
DUInterface
Palantir
Utilsx
Finally, if everything is in the right place, try deleting those, and redownloading the latest version. If you're still getting that error after trying the above, let me know - and I'll do my best to see what the problem is.

I will do my best, however I think it's going to have to wait until I can get around to working on v2. The options panel is getting a bit cumbersome, and will be even more so as more bars become available.
