Database sorting & icon opacity
In the list of songs, is it possible to dynamically sort the song list?
Alternatively, when building the song database, can the *hta utility automatically sort the songs by the field "T:" (song name) instead of the "filename" field?
The filenames are of secondary use to me, only for managing the actual files (ie moving one to a favorites or do-not-play folder).
When I look for one of the 2,000 songs I have, I'm only interested in the song's title.
BTW: The minimized icon is hard for me to see in my LOTRO client. It'd be nice if the Settings let a user change the minimized icon's opacity. I figured out how to do this in the Songbook lua files. IT'd be nice for other users if they didn't have to figure it out on their own.
Many thanks for an awesome plugin.

still not working, any thoughts Chiran?

Hi, sorry about the delay. I've been on a vacation and haven't had that much time to look into it. However, I finally downloaded and installed the French client again. Looks like it's the old issue of decimal separators. This is actually quite bad implementation on Turbine's part and we have to live with it somehow.
Songbook opacity is a decimal value and I will revert to comma as the decimal separator when I detect that the client locale is French. However, a problem arises when the game client locale is French but the windows locale is not (or is not using the default separator for French). This causes the value to break and the window is not visible even when it is there.
I have no way to detect windows locale in the plugin, so one solution in these cases is to unload the plugin, delete SongbookSettings.plugindata, and then change line 22 in SongbookWindow.lua to read:
Settings.WindowOpacity = "1";
Then load the plugin again. This loses the slight opacity of the window but at least the plugin should work. I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to get around this automatically.
Edit: Changed the solution a bit.

Just to be sure, did you run songbook.hta again after adding the songs, and then restarted the plugin?

I didn't read properly the instructions to use the plugin. I was skipping the loading step. Sorry to waste your time and thanks for your work!.

No problem ![Smile](//www.lotrointerface.com/images/style_mmoi_lotroi/smilies/smile.gif) . And actually it should gracefully inform about a missing database and not just output an error messages. So looks like there's something for me to look at in any case.

No, I meant the external windows script (songbook.hta) that is used make a song database. It should be run before launching the plugin. I'm just curious if that seems to have any problems.

Then it could be some other problem with the songbook.hta file. Does it appear to find your lotro user name and directories correctly and report the number of songs correctly?

Error
Hi there!
Thanks for your work.
I am having the same error message than Lyorna:
...gs Online\Plugins\Chiran\Songbook\SongbookWindow.lua: 1412: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)
In my case I already had a Music directory so I couldn't fix it that way.Well, I was going to send you the file SongbookData.plugindata but there isn't one on my computer. I checked the directory you mentioned and there are others .plugindata from others plugins but not from yours!.
What can we do to fix it?.

Odd, I'll try to see what is going on and perhaps try it on a French version of the client.
