Hm, not sure. But I do know that clicking it needs a bit of precision. Try keep the mouse immobile while clicking it (just one left-click).

Hey there, using French game, english settings on my PC, no error msg at all..

I can see the music icon when i load the plugin, but nothing happens when i click on it, any help?

For some reason there wasn't a music folder in my pc. I created it and now it works just fine.

I looked into it and I'm still not sure what that means. You could help me by sending me SongbookData.plugindata file by email to chiran(a)theroadgoeson.org. The file is located at:
c:\Users\<windowsuser>\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\PluginData\<lotrouser>\AllServers\

Being able to look into that file might point me to the error there.

I just found this site and I love the idea of having songs and lyrics in game. It's such a wonderful addition! So I have to congratulate you on the programming.

I've installed the LUA and the turbine samples and still get this error:

Unable to load "songbook".

Do you think you'll be able to tell what it means?

Hm, can't see an obvious problem there. Looks like it might be related to loading a custom command for the S button. It's probably related to not getting expected/needed input from one of the songs, most likely the first song in the root directory. So first suggestion is to juggle around with the abc files a bit, then run songbook.hta again and then run the plugin to see if the problem persists. Or I can have a look at the songbookdata.plugindata file for you if you send it to (chiran[at]theroadgoeson.org).

I think I know this bug, but haven't gotten around to fixing it yet (blush). It happens when you have an item in an instrument slot which you don't have in your bags anymore. You can fix it by deleting SongbookSettings.plugindata from /plugindata/landroval/(charactername), but I might remember the exact path wrong.

Thank you for the quick reply! I'd banked most of my instruments after Ales & Tales and this fix worked. I'll remember to deslot them from Songbook before heading back to the vault next time. Minstrel back in business.

Started getting this message today. No plugin changes or loads since last good load. Still getting error after relog. Songbook appears in plugins list and refresh. Able to load buffbars without problem. Able to play songs without songbook. Tried full reinstall, same error.

Any help appreciated!
