Yes, that's the problem. Lotro Mod Manager doesn't currently support more than one plugin per author directory. There is really no specification on how plugin directory structure is supposed to be, but Turbine's examples imply that multiple plugins by one author should be inside the same directory.

Is there a way to fix this without manually installing both (if that would even work with my setup)? I have friends that use the plugins that I recommend but only if they can drag and drop them into the mod manager for easy use.
You could give Plugin Assistant a try (http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...Assistant.html). I think it handles this situation better.

If it matters I also use PluginManager withing the game - if both mods are enabled only one shows up in PM as there's only one mod actually installed as far as the directories are concerned.
PluginManager by Cearbhall should have no problems running both Lotropad and Songbook. Maybe the problem is only related to Lotro Mod Manager then?

I'm not sure if this has been asked and answered or not as 11 pages is a lot to thumb through.

Sad, so this is the patch which causes accent to do weird stuff ?

I've finally done my work about the sync part. This is working well

For the UTF-8 , i'm really a dumbass with those things. Command created in game (stored in the settings file) don't work either if there is an accent.
Yes it's a bit problematic. Accents seem to work well in the user interface (labels and buttons) but they don't work for quickslots. So apparently the latest patch broke /débutmusique and /voirprêt commands (as well as ready check command in the German client). I hope Turbine will fix this in the future. At the moment it looks like there's nothing I can do about it.

I found the 4 lines yeah, replaced all sync by synchro, it works well (after restarting the game, which is weird... unload and reload the plugin seems not to be enough).

I'm trying right now to test with the cmd_sync, it should work well.

EDIT ; I found where those commands are called, sry (in songbookwindow.lua, line 930). I think that just modifying this line is ok for the french version (just for me), but won't work for you ; You will need to add a special command in the lang.lua file , sry to have this funny french language ! ^^'
play is 'cmd_play'

And yes there is no separate command string for sync since I thought it's the same '/play filename sync' for every language (with only 'play' translated). So currently 'sync' is just appended the same way for each language. This is something I need to fix for the French client.

But it's not only line 930, there's 953, 1022 and 1032 as well.

And I'm still having problems with utf-8 strings myself. I can't get them to work correctly in quickslots even when the files themselves are encoded in utf-8.

Yeah, I used Notepad ++ and no more problem (i tried this right after my post, funny how writing something give you the solution you are looking at)

Can you please tell me where is sync play cmd ? I found the /musique and others, but I can't find the /play and /play sync ones in the language file

In fact, in the window lua file, it seems that the play and play sync button don't call any command stored in the lang lua file. I'm not quite familiar with this language, but i'll try something and make those buttons call a new cmd i'll create in the lang file, like the other buttons.

EDIT ; I found where those commands are called, sry (in songbookwindow.lua, line 930). I think that just modifying this line is ok for the french version (just for me), but won't work for you ; You will need to add a special command in the lang.lua file , sry to have this funny french language ! ^^'

Edit 2; I've created a cmd_sync in the lang file (except for the german version). And modified the 930 line of the songbookwindow, but it seems that again, the plugin won't load after those modification (which should be OK). I'm looking at that again.

I've checked the lang file, and apparently everything is ok, except the sync which i replaced by synchro.
The problem is that now, i'm unable to load the plugin in game (apparently, opening and editing the lang file seems to make lotro unable to load it :/)
Seems that this modification creates a problem, i'm looking at that.

Edit ; i used the notepad, i should use something else.

Edit 2 ; I'm unable to find the command cmd_play sync in the lang file
Hm yes, it's a bit tricky. Language file at least should be saved as utf-8 without BOM. Basic notepad cannot do that. I will try to fix it anyhow and make a new version.

I suggest that you try deleting your SongbookSettings.plugindata file. It doesn't contain anything too important, just plugin window position and such. Then try to start the plugin again.

nice advice Chiran, it worked. thank you, again, for the tip, and the amazing songbook !

Dreamskiller, i suggest that you try Notepad++, infinitely better than notepad ^^

and first, thanks for this wonderfull plugin ! but...

since two days, i have the same problem as Ipled (\Plugins\Chiran\Songbook\SongbookWindow.lua:35: Unable to parse file! ... execpt that for me it's about the line 36 : Settings = SongbookLoad( Turbine.DataScope.Account , "SongbookSettings") or Settings; )
Hey,

Heh, I think I need to install the French client as well so I can test things with it. But anyhow, I suggest that you try deleting your SongbookSettings.plugindata file. It doesn't contain anything too important, just plugin window position and such. Then try to start the plugin again.

Hi there,

and first, thanks for this wonderfull plugin ! but...

since two days, i have the same problem as Ipled (\Plugins\Chiran\Songbook\SongbookWindow.lua:35: Unable to parse file! ... execpt that for me it's about the line 36 : Settings = SongbookLoad( Turbine.DataScope.Account , "SongbookSettings") or Settings; )

the plugin worked very well before the last lotro shop update, two days ago. tried to remove all the songs from the music folder, same error, so i guess it doesn't comme from them. i've checked the SongbookData.plugindata file, nothing seems wrong with this one neither. i'm playing with the french client, running it under win 7 64 bits. also tried to downgrade to songbook v0.70, same error.

hope all this could help debbuging, anyway keep the good work on !^^

There's probably corrupted data in some of the songs which then causes the library file to break. I can try to see what's going on and fix is if you send your SongbookData.plugindata file to me (to chiran{at}theroadgoeson.org). Or you can also move some songs away from the Music folder, run songbook.hta again, then start plugin and see if it starts working at some point.

-Chiran

Ok, will do. I got all my songs from this site here:http://www.lotro-abc.com/
