Hi Garan,

Both my toons can see their own and the other's bag contents, but neither can see their own or the other's vault contents.

What am I doing wrong?

I actually had to verify the functionality because that's not an option I usually use. Basically, the "Current bags display total items" comes into play when you have multiple stacks of items on the current character, particularly in separate bags. When the option is on, they will display as one large stack in AltInventory and hovering over the description will show the qty per bag. When the option is off, they will show as distinct stacks exactly as they exist in the underlying default bags and hovering over the description does not show any information.

I am still looking into an option to display the alt quantities in the popup for each character the same as the "ALL" character. In theory this should be a relatively easy programming task but it may cause a performance issue so it will at best go on the ever growing ToDo list.

EDIT: I just realized that the "bag" totals are no longer correct as the bag # is calculated based on the old fixed sized bags. The plugin was not updated to handle variable sized bags, the quantities are correct, just the bag locations are incorrect. Yet another entry for the dreaded ToDo list...

Ok, thanks for the explanation - I'm not familiar with the LotRO interface's interface limitations.

That said, what does "current bags display total items" actually change? From the sound of it it sounds kind of what I wanted, but obviously it's not.

Hi, thanks for the comment (no, there's no donate button but thanks for the consideration).

This is a multi-part issue. First, we have no control over the tooltips of the default bags, assuming you mean the built-in Turbine provided bags. Second, in AltInventory, when the current character is selected, the tooltips are generated by the client, not the plugin, as the items are actual usable items, not just a snapshot. With that said, I'll have to get back to you about other characters as I can't log in at the moment.

Quantity tooltip in default bags/single char view

Hi,

First of all, this is a wonderful plugin and many thanks for it. I'd buy you a beer if I could (do you have a donate button somewhere?)

Now, is there a way to enable the quantity number in item tooltip when using default bags or single-char filter? It looks like it only displays the total quantity when using "ALL" storage.

Let's say I am on char A, and am browsing his bags. I want to check if any other alt has the item X - currently I have to switch to Alt Inventory window and select "ALL" chars - it's not possible from default bags/vault or even Alt Inventory with char A selected, even with "current bags display total items" enabled.

Is this something I am missing or it's not supported?

AltWallet introduced move sliders in plugin manager to help people who could not use Ctrl-drag to move the icon.

Venogorn is correct, Ctrl+drag (left mouse) should move the icon unless another window is partially obscuring it. If you cannot move it with Ctrl+drag, then open the Options panel using the gears button at the bottom left of the Alt Inventory window, then click on the "Inventory View Options" tab and half way down there are fields where you can specify the Left and Top coordinates for the icon.

Can the icon be moved?

How do you move the icon? I tried dragging, tried Ctrl-dragging, tried going to edit mode, no luck...

Edit: i also use AltWallet if that might interfere in any way.
AltWallet introduced move sliders in plugin manager to help people who could not use Ctrl-drag to move the icon.

Hi, the plugin can only track the inventory for characters that are accessed with the plugin loaded so you have to log in to each character with the plugin loaded before they will show up in the plugin - basically you need to set the plugin to automatically load for all characters and then log into each character once. Don't forget to access each character's vault storage with the plugin loaded as well.

Issue seeing other bags

Hey there,

I am really excited about your plugin. I started using it yesterday and it appears to be working but only for the inventory of the character that I am on. I cannot see their vault or any other characters. Any ideas?

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, Turbine has restricted plugins from generic file usage so plugins can only read/write .plugindata files. So, it is not possible to save to any other format directly from the plugin. That said, it is possible for an external application to read the file and either process it directly or save it in a different format. Unfortunately, I am tied up with RL stuff right now so I don't know whether I will find the time to write an Excel script to parse the file right now.

FWIW, I have several external applications that I've written to keep track of my data, especially the MoorMap data, but they are compiled executables and I don't promote the use of third party executables for security reasons so I will not publish them.

Export to Excel

I would really like a offline program, and combining accounts would be great, but right now I am trying to clean up my toons on all my servers to remove duplicates of cosmetic items and house items and who knows what else, but I can't parse your file into Excel, without a lot of editing to clean out all the extra parts. NOt a real advanced Excel user, and not a Access user at all.

Any chance we could get a Excel format, or a better delimited file.

Used your program from day 1, first thing I add, and I have to thank you for your time and effort, and to keep it up to date. I would be lost in crafting without it

In the settings dialog (click the gears icon) there is a setting for "Load Minimized" (or "Charge Minimise" for FR or "minimiert laden" for DE).

Well, that led me on a merry wild goose chase. Turns out that bug was fixed in a prior version that somehow never got released. Once I get a chance to test the current version, I can get that bug fix published in a day or so.

EDIT:
Ver. 3.05 is now available. This should eliminate the bug when accessing the Vault, but existing Vault inventories may be out of sync until you log in each character and access each of their vaults (with the plugin loaded) to refresh each character's data. Don't forget to access Shared Storage on at least one character to get it in sync as well.
