With Palantir, there is the option to use or not the minimized icon, I just had to create an alias to shorten the command for the window.

That's true, plugins, have to stay simple to use for the new comers especially, but they learn quick to use only commands I guess.

But really, being able to screenshot without problem, is a priority in such a beautiful graphic game like Lotro

Keep going the good work /cheer
One of the minor updates in ver 2.03 is the inclusion of an option to hide the "Minimized Icon", allowing for cleaner screenshots but you do have to use the chat commands to redisplay the window (which you indicated you already do). I compromised on the HUD issue, I make the plugin hide whenever the event occurs whether the HUD was displaying or not - this seemed the best alternative since it's trivial to redisplay the plugin if it wasn't meant to be hidden.

With alias, it is very easy to toggle the Alt Inventory window, so is there an option or a command I have missed please?

Thanks for the feedback.

I've considered hiding the window and icon when the UI Clear toggle event occurs, the only problem currently is that Turbine does not expose the state of the UI, so it's impossible to know when the toggle event fires whether the UI was previously displayed or hidden. Some authors have chosen to assume that their plugin will be loaded when the UI is in a displayed state and accept that sometimes their plugin could toggle in the opposite state of the UI. I'm still considering the best way of handling this situation (I was hoping that Turbine would expose the UI state but it doesn't look as though they will get to that any time soon).

I just realized that the release notes state that accents/special characters were not included in the translations. This is incorrect. I was able to fix most of the translations to include their accents/special characters prior to zipping up the released version but had forgotten to update the release notes.

If anyone finds an incorrect translation, either due to being too literal, out of context or a typo (especially on the Options window), please let me know by posting the incorrect text as well as a correction. If the text is also used by the in-game Vault window, the in-game text will continue to be used, whether it appears to be correct or not, for consistency with the game client. I am still working on identifying some of the Item Categories and their translations so a number of those entries will either show up in English or as "Undefined".

Thanks for the feedback. Adding an optional separator at the "bag break" when sorting by position in bag is actually fairly simple and I'll consider adding that in 2.03 - it's quite literally a one line change now that I have the code to check for whether an additional item column will fit in a row

Unfortunately, manipulating the order of the items in the underlying bags is problematic since there have been a number of bugs in the Lua API, one in particular that caused another plugin to actually permanently lose items I have stayed as far away from manipulating the bags as possible for this reason. However, I have considered (and continue to consider) allowing a "Manual" sort option that would allow the user to control the positioning of items in the Alt Inventory view without affecting the underlying bags. The biggest problem is what to do when an item gets added/removed/moved in the underlying bags - with some more time to contemplate the implications and formulate an efficient and stable solution, I am pretty sure this will be implemented at some point in the future.

This is indeed a bug in the Lua API introduced in the November update as described under Known Issues above. The ItemAdded event is not fired for items transferred from Equipped Items. More information on the inventory event bugs can be found here:

Do developers have access to that info, or is that another thing we need to bug turbine about?
Plugins do not yet have access to Equipped Items, but as soon as they do, I will be adding an Equipped Items view (the view already exists, just waiting for the data...) as well as adding those items to the overall inventory.

If by "type" you mean Item Category, then the answer is yes. I had previously allowed sorting on Category but disabled it temporarily until I was able to track down some inconsistancies. It should be available again as a sort type in version 2.02 or 2.03.

Thanks for reporting this.
EDIT: There is a bug currently preventing the minimized icon from displaying when clicking the "X" button (it's there, you just can't see it ). As a work around, you can bind the '/altinventory toggle' command to a quickslot which will allow you to minimize and restore it with a keystroke rather than having to type the command each time. The minimized icon bug will be fixed in version 2.02 which should be released later this week.
EDIT: Well, 2.02 will be delayed a bit. I ran into a few unanticipated snags so I'm implementing the small footprint window a little differently than I wanted. It'll probably be another week or so...
