I am still using Tobii but all bag plugins are suffering from the latest Lua API changes when swapping items. The swapped item doesn't appear in the inventory until the plugin is reloaded. Using Plugin Manager you can simply click the Reload button for this.

So another update..... bad news first.

Still haven't created a workaround that works succesfully.... I'm in the process of attempting to make inventory validation code, and I'm having difficulty locating a valid copy of the inventory from the game APIs. If I can't get a valid inventory, I can't validate what's in Tobii, so there's no way to circumvent the faster (yet broken) way Tobii is currently working with a much slower, brute force approach which will allow us to keep using Tobii. Also, a lot of this code, and several debugging tools, are going to remain in Tobii, but commented out (disabled) so the users have access to this code should Turbine ever break their API in the future (hopefully it won't happen, knock on an Ent).

The good news. One of the positives of the code refactoring has allowed the ease of a drag and drop system, and much of the data save for several other features to be easily implemented. So what that means for you, whenever I can get the workaround implemented and functioning correctly, Tobii 2.0.0 will release with drag and drop resizing implemented and working.

You will be able to put Tobii wherever you want it, resize it to however you want it, and it will stay there.

Some of the features that are going to be in new versions in the near future are a toggle of the default state (whether or not Tobii is visible on load) and having either numberOfItems/totalItems or freeSpaces/totalItems in the title bar (looking something like "Tobii (xx/75)").

Again, I'll keep y'all posted with what I hear and keep working towards getting Tobii back up and running again.

Status update....

I've been hammering away at the code, and most of a much needed refactoring is complete. The net effect is a near complete rewrite of TheOneBag, which makes implementing a short term fix needed to get Tobii running correctly again much easier. The long term fix is reliant upon Turbine correctly fixing their API.

Optimistically, I'm hoping to have Tobii running correctly sometime tomorrow, with an update published after I am satisfied with testing results.

I think what's tripping it is the minor changes I have made to the description for Tobii....

ahaha i got an heart attack each time i see

Tobii updated and then i see still the 1.0.1 version.

I guess the time it will have a real new version i will jump from my chair, while Banjo (doggie) and Cookie (cat) will look at me thinking *silly*

Eh.... it's more of a pride thing about releasing a plugin without thoroughly testing it first than anything else. I know better than to release something without testing it as thoroughly as I didn't for the 1.0.1 release.

On the bright side, most of the groundwork has been laid to allow Tobii to be resizeable by the user on the fly. This includes a very tedious (but necessary) refactoring and division of the code to separate the resizing code from the inventory management code.

I'll have more information Soon(tm) about a hack (programming duct tape fix) that will be implemented to work around issues currently in the LotRO Lua API that will get Tobii functioning again. (I'm secretly hoping Turbine can quickly get their API issues resolved so this isn't necessary)

For those wondering how I'm going to allow the user to resize Tobii.... the "hot" areas are the triangle art assets in the upper left, lower left, and lower right corners. Just click one and resize Tobii how you want it to look, and the necessary information will be stored, so Tobii will remember what size it is.

I'm not going to use the one in the upper right corner to avoid user confusion between the X to close the window and a "hot" area for resizing.

First i dont think you have to apologize.

You are the one who is working so we enjoy a new feature, you take it on your time (RL, family and game).

I would rather feel i have to apologize for taking you so busy because i love a little addon.

So no worry, i will be happy when it will be done, but for now i can live without it

I've started focusing debugging efforts on TheOneBag, and noticed a lot of the same issues that are facing Tobii.

For now, I'll be working towards the 1.1 features (which will probably end up as 2.0 because the codebase needs restructuring to prevent it from becoming Katamari code).

I'm going to be running a battery of tests with TheOneBag and see if any of the issues I'm seeing appear with that plugin, which will isolate the issues between my code and Turbine's code. As odd as this sounds, I'm hoping the issue is with my code, and not Turbine's.
I'm seeing similar issues with the original TheOneBag and a version I modified. I'm afraid it's a Turbine bug which will make using any version of this (at least based off of the original) be unusable.

If there is a fix/patch made to TheOneBag to get IT to work (perhaps related to the added events) then we'll be good, otherwise it will be a while... :/
