First of all: Thanks for all your work and time you invest.

I'm a new user and try to get DailyTask running
First i started with version 4.0 on a German Client.
Plugin worked well except for the translations.
So i switched to the english Client, but got an error message while loading the plugin:

...he Rings Online\Plugins\Vinny\DailyTasks\DT_Main.lua:65: Failed to import package "Vinny.DailyTasks.DT_Window".

After that i found this board (ok, should be looking first ), loaded the files, switched back to german but still got the same error.

anybody any clues?

Hi,

I have translated the location and trophy texts into German (though not the mob names). You can find the file at GitHub.

Put it into the sub-directory "Vinny\Daily Tasks" of your LotRO plug-in directory.

Please note that you have to activate the German data in the "DT_Main.lua" file.

Would it be possible to add a "/dt ho" command to toggle the homestead mode?

Also, would it be possible to combine the actions of /dtc with /dts and /dtv? i.e. I want to see only completable tasks from the vault or from shared storage.

This is a major update that adds support for the 11 new task boards that now appear in the central area of every homestead instance (part of U18). These boards are not listed by location but by task level number range. Multiple location tasks will appear on each board. Refer to the ReadMe file for more details on using homestead mode. It may take a while to adjust to using these new boards, but the convenience of being able to turn in all your tasks at a single location makes it a very nice option.

I've also added a new button to check for duplicate trophy items in your personal vault and a few tasks now have a lower minimum level.

Basically, you'll need to copy the data file to create a file named DT_Data_DE.lua and then translate the names to German. I've already added a line of code in DT_Main where it can check for a German client.

Note: ardinendlil has already created a French version which I include in releases, so you might check on how it was done and ask for advice.

PS. I'm working on a big update to the data file, so best to wait until I release it before trying to translate it.

Is there a description of how to translate the names etc. into German? Or has someone translated the data in the meantime?

The new Homestead Task Boards are a real convenience for turning diverse sets of tasks. No more running around from zone to zone to turn in tasks. However, finding the right tasks among the 11 new boards can be a challenge. After spending several hours analysing how the tasks are organized there and how the details could be organized, I finally have the code in place to support easily finding the tasks you want to complete. Now I'm working on the tedious chore of adding all the new tasks to the current task table. I'm about 40% done and hope to finish sometime next week (I can only take about 2 hours of the tedium at a time before I need to go do something fun).

Thanks, I suspected that I'd forgot to update something. I've fixed it in my current copy and it will be in the next release. As a workaround, so you cam use the button, just change the level in the DT window to 100.

If I use /dtw with the new version, and click Check Nearest Board, I get an error message - Error: Invalid level.
/dt works fine, however. This is in Far Anorien. I haven't tried the new version anywhere else yet. My character is lvl 101 but I was also getting the error when he was still lvl 100.

This is a significant update that adds the 2 new task boards in Far Anorien with 5 new trophy items. You have to be at least level 100 for these. This was a quick revision to make the new stuff available ASAP, so there could be typos.

I know that there are also now a full set of task boards in the Homestead areas, but I haven't decided how to handle listing them yet. They aren't organized like normal task boards and I'm still analyzing how tasks are spread over the 11 boards. I'm thinking a special listing will be needed to tell you which board each trophy item can be used on. Any suggestions are welcome.

Items end up as junk when they have no task board assignments, so in order to take them off the junk list, I'd have to assign them somewhere.

Elven Sword Sheaths and Shattered Spears have tasks associated with them in U18. Would it be possible to remove them from the /dtj list now?

I was able to easily discover this because U18 will add (multiple) taskboards to the housing instances covering all the tasks in all the locations. Should make the job of updating DailyTasks easier (i.e. you could get a head start on U18 without having to level to 105 and visit all the new zones).

46 works. I don't know about 45 - it would be hard to make it inside at 45 unless you start the Walls book first thing at levelup, and skip the optional expedition quests. Or use a tortoise stone.
Then again, I don't really see why anyone would use a stone but then go to Moria at 45
