Thanks for reporting those. I have another in my notes that I haven't verified yet at 48.9S 30.1W. I suspect that they moved a number of the treasure caches in the last round of beta so I will have to go back through and verify them all. Blech.

I have to revisit the old regions and determine where treasure caches have been added and include them in the default data for those regions. However, manually entered annotations should remain, even if duplicated by default data in a future update so it sounds like there is a bug that needs to be replicated and squashed.
I have all the locations in the new area:
43.9S, 42.0W
48.9S, 30.1W
45.4S, 41.6W
43.9S, 47.1W
46.6S, 47.3W
45.6S, 35.9W
46.6S, 32.6W
48.5S, 33.9W
48.6S, 32.0W
47.9S, 39.5W
45.6S, 19.7W
48.9S, 24.2W
40.5S, 39.0W
48.5S, 22.7W
44.2S, 29.2W
53.8S, 19.5W

=16.
All your locations are right, you only miss the 2 i mentioned.

Thanks. I have found the problem (I missed Euro handling of a pair of settings values for the icon while updating the saved settings code) and it will be fixed in the next update - I need to track down some inconsistencies in the Treasure Cache locations between beta and live, hopefully by the end of the coming week.

EDIT: On further testing, the bug is a bit worse than I initially thought, affecting a number of settings when switching clients, so until the next version is released, if you switch between DE/FR and EN clients (or vice-versa) MoorMap will not load Fortunately, the next version should be available Soon...

I need some additional information to try to reproduce this issue.

First, which client are you running, EN, FR or DE?

Second, if you move the icon and then switch maps in the plugin does the icon get reset? If not, then if you move the icon and manually unload the plugin using the plugin manager or "/plugins unload moormap" does the icon get reset when you reload the plugin?

I put them to the map though, unfortunately they disapear on updates.

Sorry for the delayed response about your requests regarding custom POIs, we've been without power for the last two days. Both suggestions sounded like reasonable, good ideas. However, I had to review the source code to verify the relative difficulty (or even practicality) of each suggestion since the majority of the plugin was written in early 2011 and to be honest, I don't remember many of the details of how the plugin was implemented. As it happens, both suggestions should be feasible. The distinct icon may end up being just a different color for the icon but should be sufficient to make custom POIs stand out from built-in POIs. Unfortunately, I don't have an estimated time frame, but they will go fairly high on the ToDo list so they should make it into the next update which should be whenever Turbine publishes new content.

EDIT: FWIW, the Annotation Maintenance window will display the coordinates of any Custom Annotation for the current map and is probably easier to view than the .plugindata file. You can select the annotation from the dropdown list rather than editing it from the map. You can open the Annotation Maintenance window by clicking the second button from the left at the top of the map.

  • I notice many place names are unlisted such as Minas Eriol, near the Foresaken Inn, where I stumbled on the quest to escort Leofwenna to safety (she isn't listed either).

  • When doing the 6 deeds for 'The History of the Dunedain', I found a PoI for the Ancient Altar and Ancient Crest, but not for the Ancient Cairn, Ancient Inscription, Ancient Obelisk or Dunedain Statue. (Note: The PoI annotated as the Ancient Altar, found in the ruins of Blackwold's Roost, is in fact the Ancient Cairn. The Ancient Altar is actually located in Marshwater Fort but has no PoI.)

Requests:
  • Is it possible to have custom annotations made searchable; as it is, in order to re-locate a custom annotation I have to glean the coordinates from AllServers\MM_CustomAnotations[_nn].plugindata file.

  • If not the above, would it not be possible to have custom map pins for custom annotations (simple coloured dots) to make them easier to find.

Thank you for your consideration.
Hi, thanks for the comments.

The search allows use of Lua Patterns in the search and since the hyphen character is a special character in Lua Patterns you have to escape it by putting a percent sign before it. So, to search for "Lone-Lands", use "Lone%-Lands". You can read more about Lua patterns at:
http://www.lua.org/manual/5.1/manual.html#5.4.1

Unfortunately, with the many revamps that have occurred in the early areas, some POIs and NPCs are not in MoorMap (or TerrainMap since they use the same source data). I may get around to revisiting those areas someday but I wouldn't count on it as I don't really play the game anymore. Meanwhile, feel free to post any missing NPCs and POIs and I'll see about adding them. Area names that aren't actual POIs aren't generally included unless I had a compelling reason to add them such as being a quest hub, etc.

The Ancient Altar/Ancient Cairn issue is actually a known bug that hasn't been corrected yet, mostly due to the fact that as previously noted I don't really play the game anymore so most of the starter area stuff has been fairly low priority.

Hi,
Thanks for the comment and question.

I was working on the U17 update (the maps are all in place, I was just gathering the default data for MT, etc.) when I had to make an unplanned visit to the local hospital (getting old sux). I am finally back home and will be getting back to this as soon as I can comfortably sit at the computer for a length of time.
Sorry to hear that, but good you are back and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I look forward to your update.

For now I made my own map of MT including a map for The Cisterns, but yours is way better. I suppose you have an easy way to get all the locations. Otherwise I can help you out with mine.
