You're welcome.

However, I suspect you may still not understand what went wrong. LPC was not the problem, it only downloads and extracts the plugin (and is the best and easiest way to do so, I would recommend that you continue to use LPC). All of the plugin files need to be present to work so LPC did not do anything incorrect in extracting all of the files. The problem was that you set them all to load automatically in the Plugin Manager. This is performed in the game client, either from the Character Selection screen or from the system menu once a character is loaded and has nothing to do with LPC.

The reason that there are what appear to be "extra" plugins is that the plugin needs to manage and display a large amount of data and the only way to do this efficiently is for the plugin to work with "helper" plugins to process the data as well as to reload the plugin between maps so that it only loads the data pertinent to the currently loaded map. These "helper" plugins are loaded by the main plugin only when the plugin is ready for them to perform an action and the system can not work correctly if they are loaded automatically as there is some interaction which has to follow a specific sequence. When you set the "helper" plugins to load automatically, it disrupted the normal processing of the Default data.

Let me know if you are still having trouble.

Well... you were only supposed to enable the "MoorMap" plugin. The others are controlled automatically by the main plugin (this is stated in the Usage instructions above as well as in the individual plugin descriptions in the manager and they have a big X on a red background for their icons in the manager).

So, the bigger issue is how do you fix this. It's actually pretty easy to fix. First, go into the Plugin Manager and change the settings to NOT load the "MoorMapDefaults", "MoorMapLoader" and "MoorMapTerminator" plugins. Make sure that the "MoorMap" plugin IS selected to load. If you are logged into a character, log out to the character selection screen (if you accessed the Plugin Manager from the character selection screen then there is no need to log out). Now, log into a character. Open the MoorMap map. If no icons show, then right click the map to bring up the "Add Annotation" window and at the bottom, click the "Reload Defaults" button. A window should appear and flash all of the map names and then close and the map should reload and display all of the default icons.

At this point, any corruption caused by auto loading the other plugins has been cleared. If you are still not seeing any icons, then click the Filter button near the top left corner of the map (looks like a bunch of red and green dots being filtered). Make sure the icon types you would like to see are selected.

Thumbs up Re: Re: Toggle button?

Thank you so much! I thought I had deleted everything, but I think it was from the main plugins folder. I now have my icon and I LOVE the Moor Map addon.

It sounds as though you either positioned the icon at a location where it is now behind another screen element or you deselected the "Show Icon When Minimized" checkbox in the Options panel. First, load MoorMap. Next enter "/moormap show" in the chat window - that will force the main window to display. Now click the gear button in the top left. On the Options window, be sure the "Show Icon when Minimized" option is selected. If you have the "Use Mini Icon" option selected then you will be looking for a small circular icon (16x16) which looks like a tiny square map in a circle instead of the larger square map(32x32) icon. If you are using the mini icon and do not have the "Mini Icon is Opaque" selected then the icon is semi-transparent until you mouse over it which makes it less intrusive but also harder to find if you forgot where you put it. If you are using the larger icon, it is always semi-transparent until you mouse over it. If you change any settings, click "Save" and then close the Options window (the options window is supposed to close automatically after clicking Save or Cancel but is currently bugged, this is a known issue )

If you are still unable to find the icon, you can reset the moormap settings (this will not affect your custom annotations) by deleting the "MoorMapSettings.plugindata" file in the "My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\PluginData\username\AllServers" folder. Be sure you have the plugin unloaded when deleting this file (it is best to simply close the game client). When you next load the plugin all of the settings will be back to defaults and the icon will be back at the bottom left corner. (Note, in ver 1.18 and higher you will have to hold the Control key to move the icon). I will probably be adding a "flash" feature to the icon to make it easier to find since this seems to be a common issue lately.

Sorry for the confusion. You didn't do anything stupid, I did

I accidentally left some files out when I zipped up the archive for the upload. Ver 1.17a has the missing files and should work correctly (the missing files are used to create the default data and to reload the data when swapping between maps, thus the blank dropdowns).

Thanks for reporting this. Again, sorry for the inconvenience and confusion.

Ver 1.17

Version 1.17 is just a minor update
I got tired of waiting for Turbine to produce a Tal Mathedras map so I added two versions of the Tal Mathedras map (Before and After have distinct data points). Now that there is a really ugly map available Turbine will hopefully be motivated to actually publish their art version (there was one briefly available on Bullroarer but it disappeared, probably due to versioning issues with the icons).
I also added the Hidden Burrow in the Great River area and a few location corrections.
I updated the Great River and Stangard map backgrounds to use the latest Turbine background - I haven't located the resource IDs yet so these are still just screencaps but they are a bit better than the ones from Bullroarer.
I finally got around to changing the Iron Pit map from the compass capture version I had created to the Turbine art version.

Thank you for your help! I forgot that I had once tried to setup an alias. I can't even remember what I was trying to do but it must not of worked how I wanted it to. Clearing my alias list solved the issue. Thank you once again!

Client hangs... music plays, but no keyboard response, cannot terminate Turbine Manager.
Bleah... assume client crashed.
Kill client and relaunch.

Naturally, the map opens on "The Great River."
The question is -- should have it done so before? Should there have been any "positive" feedback from the "save?"
I'm not really sure what happened to hang your client. I tried opening and closing the options, changing options, saving, etc. many times without a hang.
EDIT: I may have replicated your hang, there is definately an issue with unloading and reloading with the Turbine Manager open.

As to the default map, that setting only affects which map is initially shown when the plugin is loaded so minimizing the plugin and then restoring it (which is all the icon does) will not change to the default map.

The options window used to automatically close after a Save or Cancel but I must have removed that when the dialog was moved to the "Turbine Manager" (it was brought back last release but I must not have reinstated the buttons correctly). There should have been a popup that would indicate that the options were saved and that most likely was also removed and not reinstated. I got sidetracked while implementing the new Plugins:ShowOptions() method and never got back to it. It should be fixed in the next release.

It looks to me as if you at one time tried to create an alias for adding annotations. i.e. you used the "/alias" command to create an alias, something like "/alias ; /MoorMap add Eriador: 1 Threshold Street
Home of Damlyn: 16.1S, 106.3W:5::;target " without specifying an acual alias name (using just the semi-colon).

To see your assigned aliases, use "/alias list"
You should see an entry like:
alias [;] == [/MoorMap add Eriador: 1 Threshold Street
Home of Damlyn: 16.1S, 106.3W:5::;target]
If you see a user defined alias that includes anything to do with Moormap, clear it and your problem should go away.
If you are unsure of how to clear the alias, use "/help alias" or just clear all of your aliases using "/alias clear"

Please let me know if that solves the problem.
