Re: Error when starting options window
Oops, nevermind. After also deleting the .plugindata file in AllServers it worked.

Thanks for replying. I can imagine that making plugins can feel like ungrateful work. If it helps, you can at least take comfort in that your plugin have the silent acknowledgement of hundreds of users .
The “Please consider rating my plugin.” comment on your plugin page is what caused me to vote in the first place (although I seem to recall it was written in red and had a different formulation). You could try placing it further down on the page –say just before the changelog-. You’ll be amazed how short the attention span is when users like me browse the plugin lists
As for the plugin itself, it feels rather complete. The ability to track in/out of combat was a huge leap forward, and alone would be worth the download. I assume the API limits the possibility to track which objects the cursor hoovers above (ie, having different images for when pointing at an enemy, fellowship member, raid member, object, etc). Maybe some functionality to track your own status (ie, having the cursor flash vibrantly when health / power reaches a critical level –A nice reminder to pop a potion).
Ofc, I have no idea how much work this will require . Or if it will bloat up the plugin, giving it a huge memory footprint and/or lag issues.

It does feel complete to me too. Dont think its possible to have the highlighter change when it hovers over the other parts of the UI, i could be wrong. As for Morale/Power, this maybe doable but again not sure. I havnt really looked at the API for Morale/Power.

I had been working on a new plugin but then my attention was taken away by another game. So for now, ive taken a break from lotro and plugins for the time being. I'll hopefully get back into the swing of things when i get bored of this other game.

Thankyou so much for this plugin. I can now see my mouse without my nose being 2ins from the screen even with my glasses on trying to find my cursor
Only been playing a few weeks and was going to give up before I found this great plugin.
Plz plz keep this plugin up todate

Hi,
I'm a german lotro player and would like to use this plugin, but I get the following error loading it with the PluginManager:
Code:
...d of the Rings Online\Plugins\Fortunis\MCHA\Main.lua:24: Unable to resolve package "Turbine.UI.Extensions"
Already deleted MCHA.plugindata ..
First I thought the Turbine Plugin Folder is missing, but two other plugins (Buffbars, Palantir) are working fine.
Hope you can help with this.
Thanks a lot.

Have been waiting for something like this but
Thank you for a very useful plugin.
However, I did not need the "extra" Plug In File or Turbine Folder.
Unless this is the VERY first plug in someone has ever used, this will add duplicate files to your system. Just make the Fortuna file available, most folks have the rest or can get it on this site by following instructions. Trying to figure out if you have a duplicate file and remove it is a real pain.
Thanks!

Re: confused as to how to download
With most/all other plugins I clicked download, and saved to my desktop. Then I Extract All to this directory:
My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\Plugins
Can I do that with this one as well?
In the instructions it seems you're saying to extract only the Plugins folder within this download into: My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\
... but I already have a Plugins folder there, so I'm confused.
Help please.
You don't need to use the "extra" Plug Ins Folder. I know, it confused me too! Just extract this file to a "safe" place and go inside the Plugins File, cut / copy the Fortuna file and paste, as usual, into your Plugins File.
Good luck!

Hi Feant,
The plugins folder in MCHA zip is exactly the same as what is in your 'My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online'. Folders are just folders. Just because you have a folder being moved to a directory with the exact same named folder inside, doesnt harm that said folder. It just sees that it already exists and puts the new folders and files within, into the already available folder that you have.
It wont overwrite anything unless its the same file and in the same directory. So going through to Fortunis folder and pulling that out isnt exactly necessary unless you only want that folder in and not the 'Turbine' Folder.
Saying all that. ive stopped playing lotro. Which in turn ive stopped checking wether i need to update my plugin. It has all the features necessary for what its meant to be anyhow. So im not aware of if the folder structure has been changed due to lotro updates/patches. It'll just need a bit of common sense on the users side to work out where to put the plugin files.
The folder structure should be like this for all plugins. DONT DEVIATE:-
My Documents
--The Lord of the Rings Online
----Plugins
------Turbine
------Author
--------PluginName
Very simple and not exactly rocket science.

I have used this for a long time now and I have had my rating at a 5 and even re-rated it today to make sure it was a five.
I just wish the welcome screen was not so "strong" and "direct". Your file is well used and appreciated by many of us. Could you please tone it down a bit?

I dont plan on making anymore changes, updates, patches. Seeing as i havnt got lotro installed or the tools. What you can do if its annoying you is:-
Go into the files and swap out the MCHA_Loaded TGA file for an image of your choice if you wish. Rename your image the same and there u have it.
or
Open load.lua file and search for
LoadWindow:SetVisible( true );
change true to false and it should never appear again.

Thanks for the heads up on the change. Again your mod helps a lot, especially on a 30" monitor the cursor is easily lost.

awesome plugin. thx.
but shouldnt you just deliver the "fortunis" folder? i suppose this is the reason your plugin will not be listed in " LOTRO Plugin Compendium". it also makes simple unzipping into the plugins folder impossible...

Looking into this. Ive contacted lunarwtr and hes taking a look at it for me. Seeing as it would take alot of time for me to redownload, instal and patch lotro to test it all out.
edit: Also will look into removing the welcome screen while im at it or at least disable it

Thanks for making the changes to work with LPC. I added MCHA to the list of plugins it supports.
