1.4 layout showing new fervor meter
|
|
This is a very simple mod that began as a personal modification to Wicked Mouse's Small Mainbar skin. It retains the style of the official LotRO UI artwork, cuts off all the buttons, and extends the hotbar slots so that two bars can be fit horizontally in the same space.
Standard installation instructions for UI skins apply, but note that this only modifies the main toolbar; nothing else.
By default, this mod is set up for 1920x1200 resolution. If you run some other resolution, a quick tweak will be necessary to get the positioning right; directions are at the top of the skindefinition.xml file.
Two important notes:
1. The default quickslot bar will be placed properly. To get the others in place, you need to disable docking and position them manually. You only need to do this once. I recommend making use of /ui layout save and ui layout load to carry this across multiple characters.
2. When you first apply the skin, the layout will be screwy. Log off and log back in.
This is a quick and dirty modification. If you see any problems, please let me know and I'll do my best to fix them.
New features in 1.4!
- Giant, glowy, space-wasting combat button removed
- Bar condensed, accordingly
- New fervor, attunement and focus meters

That is exactly what I mean. Again, not really a big deal.

I don't quite understand what you mean by background, tallboy. Is the bar actually covered by the panel art?
I "fixed" the bar-shifting-one-pixel issue in 1.4 by moving the default quickslot bar up 1 pixel. I haven't tweaked the artwork to match quite yet, but I will soon.

I have the same issue with the mis-alignment. I thought it was me doing it, as every time I load the bar I have on the lower right ends up in the background...
I have to ctrl+\ and click the bar once to move it to the foreground. I figured I was probably moving it just a bit every time. (such a minor problem for me that I don't really pay it much mind...

daimon, thanks for helping us out. I was doing the same thing as tallboy; hitting control-f5 in Chrome and assuming that would reload the entire page without using the cache. Your suggestion worked for me as well.
Also, two other things:
1. Here's a current image of the next update. I'm not quite sure what to do with the right blue segment, since I got rid of that oversized store button (as if LotRO needs yet another way to access the store . . . ) as well as the dubiously useful Giant Glowing Combat Button. I haven't given much thought to fervor/focus placement yet, either. I'll figure it out eventually.
2. Has anyone else had an issue with the lower-right action bar not lining up properly? I've noticed that, frequently, it shifts one pixel up. It's not much, but it's driving me nuts, and I can't figure out what's causing it.

I got it! I guess it was stuck in cache. I thought that ctrl+f5 would clear the cache, but I guess that is not true in Chrome. I just switched to incognito mode (no caching at all) and got it fine.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Thanks for the work on the add on!

not sure if someone managed to solve this already and if there was some other error but every time you suffer from a similar downloadin problem like this it's a good call to flush your browser's cache and try again after that.
at least I can download extend-o-bar_1.3.zip now

I honestly don't know. I keep uploading the bloody thing. I don't even have 1.1 on my PC anymore. I'll try again. Sorry for the delay!
In fact, here's what the edit is showing:
Apparently it has 1.3, and it's set as the download, but still using 1.1. I'll try to get a hold of a mod.

I am still just seeing 1.1... Even if I click on the archived 1.2 I still get 1.1...
Hmmm....
Not sure what is happening, thanks for your efforts though.

Sorry, tallboy. I must've done something wrong updating it. I'll re-upload right now. The new version also includes a transparent map tracker.

I love this toolbar, though I would like to get a hold of 1.2 without the vertical lines. The one that is currently posted is 1.1.
Thanks!
