Can't make UI work
Hi Adra,
I've tried almost everything to make the UI work but no matter if I follow the guide in here or doing some changes myself the UI just won't work/show properly... The problem I'm having is that when I select the theme that I want, the whole UI just shows up as gray boxes with lines, I've used the ui before with no problems but for some reason it just won't work now. I've tried all of themes and there is no difference...
Here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing, maybe you know what's going on?:

Cheers!

About fixing a defective installation of the skins
Hello,
The panels content replaced by grey background crossed by white lines occur when the lotro client can't find some skin picture elements at the location (included files names, folder names and inner folder organization structure) where they're intended to be located, on your computer.
Here is the path, starting from your Window's Documents folder, where to unzip the "JRR_Skins_collection_7_24b.zip" file :
...\Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\
or on old Window's systems :
...\My Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\ui\skins\
At the present day, the "JRR Skins collection" folder contains more or less 11 356 files and its size is approximately 158 Mo.
You can check if your own "JRR Skins collection" folder meets near values.
If not, delete all your previously installed JRR files and folders then re-download and re-install it from zero.
This should solve your issue

Hi Adra,
I tried the official forums, but no response, so let's see if you can assist
I've been using JappMe short for like forever now -thank you once again - and have recently begun tampering with it some more. One thing I'd like to find is how to move/remove the text on the unitframes.
Is it possible to align the player name to the right and the target name to the left, or move them from above to below the frame, ...?
Looking forward to your response and wishing you a good day

@ Cambruin
about deeper customized player and opponent vital bars
Hi and thank you again for your kind feedbacks
Contrary to the plugins, skinning capabilities are strictly limited to play within the rules defined by the default user interface.
At best we can resize and change the location ( X, Y and length) of each panel element featured in the unofficially-official lotro skinning packs, and replace their picture files, but unfortunately, that's it, that's all.
As far as I know, choosing to align a text to the right or to the left is not a part of skinning capabilities in Lotro.
I'd suggest you to contact a plugin developer to deal about such ingame feature. They have much more god powers of creation freedom than skinners have !
I know there are several projects focused on creating plugin based vital bars.

Thank you Adra, you're without a doubt one of LotRO's MVPs.
I'll try and get into LUA and skinning a bit I guess

In my opinion, the Lotro community deserve more quality of service, friendliness and respect than it receives from the studio.
Then, my humble contribution purpose is to offer an extended and deeper game experience while maintaining the fantastic themes introduced by other authors some years ago.

Version 24.2.3 - September 10 2019
- Added a short toolbar profile for the Erebor theme.
- Changed the version number of JRR skins to the lotro current update number (no more useless JRR major version number before the lotro update number).
- Fixed the milestone panel issue in Greenleaves cold.
- Changed the size of many invisible picture elements from 1 x 1 pixel to they default full size, just in case it would affect positively the computer's performance, for example in barter panel or wallet, but I can't promise any gain !
- Moved some picture files incorrectly located in "Big Battles" folder to "Housing" folder.
- The skin package contains a .skincompendium extension file, based on the same model than the .plugincompendium in case someone would add the ability in the Plugin Compendium software to manage the skins in addition of the plugins, or create a new plugin+skins software manager.

I just noticed that a housing panel background element had changed ( housing_enterneighborhood_bg_center) and is incorrectly displayed, maybe some authors are looking for a solution.
So, here is a picture fix that can be used with the BGM based skins (it needs to be converted to the TGA file format).
Only the center picture remains displayed, left and right sides are no more used, this is why I fused them in the same picture.
A complete integration in all themes will come with the next JRR skins release, probably in about a month.

Skins wont show up
I downloaded the file and did exactly what the steps said, then when I went into the game and went under Misc. in UI Settings it said I had no skins.
I then looked through the whole post again trying to find something I missed, but I'm stumped. I can't seem to find out why LoTRO thinks I don't have any skins after putting things into the correct files and stuff.
If you could help shed some light on that, it would be a great help to me.

Re: Skins wont show up
@Achylz
Hello,
I've re-wrote the step-by-step installation process, hoping it will avoid any confusion.
If you still have issues to install the skins, I made a skins+plugins pack which is able to self install a selection of skins and plugins in their respective right location folders : http://tiers-age.leforum.eu/t229-Pac...nstallable.htm (page in french)
