Re: Plugin Feed URL issues for LOTRO Plugin Compendium
It's working again, thanks!
It looks like the directory structure changed on lotrointerface, I'm getting a 404 error on the /fav/ directory.
(Plugin Feed URL is http://api.lotrointerface.com/fav/plugincompendium.xml)
edit: I just sent Cairenn a PM about it, since it appears to be a site issue.

Hi - I'd like for LPC to include my VirtueView plugin.
I have created the VirtueView.plugincompendium file. Should I upload a version with that file? What's the next step?
I was hoping to test it locally, but it says "(Unmanaged)". I think I have the Name and ID correct.

Since your plugin relies on turbines library you will need to upload a version of your plugin that contains the plugincompendium file. Your file will look like.
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<PluginConfig xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
<Id>720</Id>
<Name>VirtueView</Name>
<Version>1.6</Version>
<Author>Mosby</Author>
<InfoUrl>http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info720</InfoUrl>
<DownloadUrl>http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/download720</DownloadUrl>
<Descriptors>
<descriptor>Palantiri\VirtueView.plugin</descriptor>
</Descriptors>
<Dependencies>
<dependency>0</dependency>
</Dependencies>
</PluginConfig>

Yep, that's exactly what my file looked like. I've uploaded it, so it should be available soon. Thanks for LPC, very handy!

Its been added to the list and you should be able to see it in LPC now, but will not "install" via LPC till it has finished being approved. Please let me know if it ends up having any problems.
Thanks

Travel window plugin
I don't know the easy answer to this one... (Using the Mac/Linux Java version)
Hyoss has been updating Dhor's Travel plugin now for a while.
He has just re-packaged his download as a complete package. (V 15.1)
It is both enhanced and contains fixes for various Turbine induced "bugs" (like the Beorning).
It's easy to update the .plugincompendium file in the plugin:
<Id>897</Id>
<Name>Travel Window</Name>
<Version>15.1</Version>
<Author>Dhor</Author>
<InfoUrl>http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/info897</InfoUrl>
<DownloadUrl>http://www.lotrointerface.com/downloads/download897</DownloadUrl>
But that information doesn't carry forward.
A) I realize that there is a separate database maintained with the old info in it.
http://api.lotrointerface.com/fav/plugincompendium.xml
B) I'm surprised that the <InfoUrl> and <DownloadUrl> tags are not used by the Java version -- apparently only the api file.
C) I suppose that the easy fix is to simply update the api file with the 897 information. While I can read that file, I don't have any mechanism to update it.
I don't know what kind of hoops need to jumped through to get this change made, but it would be appreciated if you can facilitate it.

The problem with a patch is some patches on this site are not quite patches but replacements for out of date plugins. A patch in theory would get applied overtop the original to "fix" something, but was never addressed via LPC.
If, however, the patch you mention above is a complete copy of the plugin, and doesn't need the original to run, then yes, update the plugincompendium file to point at the new one (I think the zip currently there does not), and I can adjust the LPC data listing to point at that new one.

Hi,
I updated my TravelWindow upload according to your instructions. For the future, I would like to move development to an own plugin page instead of a patch, but I would like to make sure this is ok with the other authors.

I added it to the list, but I think you placed the plugincompendium file in the wrong folder. It typically is in the same folder as the .plugin file.
