Re: Feature request

Im loving the compendium, thanks for making this!
There is one feature i'm kinda missing.
It would be nice to have a "view" button for the currently selected plugin on the "installed plugins" tab. So I can go to the site of an updated plugin to see what has changed.
Now i have to go to the "add new plugins" tab, disable "hide installed" and find the updated plugin in the long list, select it and click "view".
Would be great to have that "view" link in the installed plugins list aswell!
Keep up the good work.

Thank you for the feedback. Sound like great ideas

EDIT: Got the linux/mac version working, so unless the above is fixed, then i'll stay with this one, but nice program anyhows

Sorry you experience problems.
Glad you found a work around. Some questions and/or things to try would be... - Could you list the exact error message or screenshot of what windows shows you?
- Did you upgrade any software or perform updates to your computer recently?
- Can you try right clicking and choosing "Run as Administrator" and see if that help?
- If that doesn't please check that your pc has .NET 3.5 installed. That is essential for it to work.

Re: Gambit Helper 2
Quote:
Lunar, I've taken over development of GambitHelper (Zanttux quited LotRo and hasn't updated it since 0.2.7) and renamed it to Gambit Helper 2. But when I make a .plugincompendium file for GH2, it still shows 0.2.7 of the original GH as latest update. Can you add GH2 as seperate plugin supported by the compendium?

Right now there is a bug in LPC with regards to two similarly named plugins that only differ by digits on the end. Once Gambit Helper 2 is approved, I will remove the old and add the new, then all shoudl be good afaik.

Thanks for the speedy add!
So...I have a suggestion. If I'm viewing the list of my installed plugins and I see that some of them have updates, it would be extremely convenient to provide a link right there to take me to the plugin info page to see what changed. I don't usually like installing new versions blindly.
Also, a question. "Turbine Examples" I understand to be a special case. I have it showing up as having a pending update, with v1.1 locally and v1.0 listed as the latest version. Is this hard-coded in the tool, and if so, could you bump up the latest version number so that the highlighting goes away?
|
Turbine examples come with 4 test plugins. Since you likely had that installed prior to start using LPC, it tries to do some guessing based on underlying plugin versions. It chose poorly in your case. Just remove turbine examples and reinstall via LPC.

add new plugin: KillTracker
I hadn't played with this yet, but a user request to add Plugin Compendium support to my new plugin prompted me to check it out...nice work lunarwtr!
KillTracker has no dependencies, but I created a .plugincompendium file in v0.9.3 anyways. Can you please get it added to the database? Let me know if there are any issues, and thanks!

Nice work! Thank you for this tool - it helps me a lot.
But think about the update check for the plugins again.
Iy you try to update, the *.plugin an *.plugincompendium file will be deleted even if the update fails, because of waiting for approval by an admin. Trying to update later again isn't possible anymore.
I hope you understand, what I mean...
