Thanks
Good simple plug-in that is exactly what I was looking for to give me a easy to notice sign when my improved wild attack buff is active on my champion that can be as subtle or obvious as I want. I had looked for something to do this when RoR released but managed to miss exactly what I was looking for as this works much better then what I was doing previously.
Thanks for putting it together and sharing.

If I understand your intent fully, you made this to display a very overt cue when it's time to pot. Even in special raid content like ToO, all those effects are still curable. If the plugin was coded to display the colored overlay for all curable debuffs, it would accomplish the same thing without having to configure them individually.
It makes the plugin a wonderful option for not just in raids, but also while on the landscape too.
Although, having an option to configure effects is an excellent option to have too for those who want added flexibility.
Still, thanks for considering the idea. There's absolutely no rush lol--we're still a while out from RoR raiding.
I promise you though, if this worked for all curables, not only would I use it all the time, but I would get my kinmates use it for raids too.

Ahh^^, now I got it. With a checkbox for enableing this is a great idea.
Shouldn't be that hard to implement, but my time is limited at the moment because of studies, so it may take a few weeks.
I didn't thought about that because I intended a plugin for special raidcontent, but hey, I'm open for suggestions

Nono, I get that. You're talking about buffs being highlighted so you have a visual cue of when it's active (positive effects). What I was referring to was curables that wouldn't show the colored border should it ever be configured for displaying those effects on a non-configured basis (filtered).
I do have to clarify though--I wasn't asking for you to add pot bottles to your plugin. I was only using buffbars/palantir as an example for triggers they use when a curable debuff is on your character.
I am curious; did you consider possibly making your plugin work with curables in general (non-name configured)? Maybe a checkbox to enable/disable? It would accomplish the same thing (negative effects) without having to configure each curable debuff.
An example of what I mean is in your 2nd picture. You had to configure the purple section with the title "Impending Fear" for it to display. What I'm asking is why can't it do it for all fears instead of only the names you put in the boxes?
Though, configuring for buffs is a brilliant idea.
I really think you're on to something great here, I just feel it's still slightly limited.

My second comment was more-so Lost Temple specific. In that instance there are two disease effects that you do NOT want to pot on. One drains your power completely (if you DO pot) and I don't remember the effect of the other. Having it configurable where you enter that effect name so your edge-of-screen doesn't display when you have that particular disease was what I was suggesting.
Again, that's only LT specific & not really a big deal any longer.

If you download EffectWarn it wont warn you at all.
You have to configure the effects you want to be warned, you can see this in the last picture, I typed in Charge in the Box for blue, so if the Charge effect is active the screen is blue.

I'm in a raiding kin & constantly people miss potting (even with the bottle pop-up done by other plugins). It's amazing how frequently the average person has a brain fart. That's why I made the suggestion that having a feature like yours be triggered by curable effects would make it wonderful.
It's easy to miss a small bottle (I guess? lol), but it's hard to miss the entire screen (or even one side of the screen) completely change color.

Such an excellent idea, but unfortunately very limited.
If it had the option to use the same triggers as, say, buffbars or palantir to display pot slots, then this would be an outstanding general purpose warning plugin.
Another option would be to have filters so the overlay isn't displayed, such as Lost Temple where you wouldn't want to pot everything.
|
As you mentioned, the pot slots already exists in many other plugins, why not using them? But youre right I could add this...
I dont get the last part, how should this be managed, if you dont want to get warned just delete the last letter of the effects name and your done. Or do I fail to understand your post?
