Re: Shopping List and Patches

My Shopping List feature doesn't work. No matter what button I click, I cannot get anything to appear in my shopping list. Everything else works fine, but the shopping list is the feature I need most... Anyone any ideas what might be wrong?

I am also confused as to which patches I need to install. The Interface Information and Description states that this is version 1.3.0 from 13th February 2021. Then there are two patches for Version 1.3.0 (from macskay) and 1.3.1 (from Thurallor) which are both from years before version 1.3.0 of the original author has been released. If I am correct, then I do not need any patch currently, right?
I'll take a look at the shopping list feature when I can. As for the patches, no you don't need any. If you have any installed please delete them. Perhaps try a fresh download of the plugin (deleting everything else first) and see if that helps solve the shopping list problems.

Re: Shopping List and Compendium

I tried this plug-in some time ago and it didn't suit what I was doing. Today I thought it fitted perfectly so I gave it another try.

First problem is that the Shopping List stubbornly remains empty whatever I try.

So I checked the Lotrointerface page and found there were several updates since 1.2.0. So I opened the Compendium and it showed Crafting Companion as up to date at 1.2.0.

I've downloaded the fixes and updates and will install them hoping this fixes the shopping list problem.

It seems odd that it shows in the Copmpendium as managed, but doesn't show it needs updates.
The compendium does not recognize when developers other than the author upload patches for a plugin. It only recognizes when the main author has uploaded a new version. So for small patches like this got from Thurallor for example you have to manually check lotrointerface, download, and install.

"...line\Plugins\GaluhadPlugins\CraftingComp\MainW in.lua:448: attempt to concatenate a nil value" error - It was working fine until i hit "Minas Ithil" level, then it stopped working. I *suspect* that like with Ironfold, the new tier is what is causing the issue

I checked and I have the patch loaded. I haven't had to use it that much because I hadn't done much crafting, but I was trying to get some of it done this weekend on alts and ran into this error.
I have uploaded a patch (1.3.1) which fixes this problem and adds support for the Ironfold crafting tier.

The most likely reason is that the plugin is set to load for specific characters in system Plugin Manager and you haven't included that particular character. Just go to the system menu and open the plugin manager (or use the /"plugins manager" chat command). Find the plugin in the list and select it, then check that you are either loading it for "All Characters" or that the specific character is selected. If All Characters is selected, there might be a problem in the settings file, so deselect All Characters and reselect it. Close the manager, log out of the character and relog the character. The plugin should now load and it's commands should be recognized.

I know it's late but still.

If somebody doesn't know. You can create a custom UI button by creating a shortcut

/shortcut <key> /craftcomp

ex. /shortcut 8 /craftcomp

That'll create a shortcut on slot 8 that can be dragged onto any skill bar, just like a normal skill from the skill book.

BEWARE: If something is already placed in slot 8 it will be overwritten

Refresh Inventory

I too hope this is still supported

If so, a refresh button to update the amount of mats in active inventory would be nice as well

Oh, and a UI button

I'm not sure if this plugin is still supported, but thought I'd post in case so. I'm running into an issue, minor, but irritating, where any tier above Westfold is displaying improperly.

Eastemnet is displaying as Westemnet, and Westemnet and Anorian are displaying with no header for the tier. The receipes and everything else seems to work perfectly, I just get no header for T9 and T10 in the recipe list.

I tried to look through the data files to see if there was somewhere that the tier names are referenced, but didn't see anything immediately. Any solution?

Correct or ?

"The API also doesn't function correctly when you learn a new recipe - to get this to show in Crafting Companion you will need to unload and reload the plugin."

Is this still true? Or does it work correctly without having to unload and reload for each new recipe learned?

Nice plugin. Suggesting an update?

Does this still work for the current version of LotRO, I notice it hasn't been updated in years...but not sure if it needs to be or not.
I like this plugin also. If there is any new development, it would be nice to have an option to show the experience gained from a crafting session where the crafter made all the components. For instance, if a cook were to make a Steak and Kidney Pie such that he made each cup of flour and each cut of marinated beef. As it is, the assumption seems to be that the person will purchase everything and merely assemble it.

The difference is substantial. Purchasing all components (flour/pie crusts and marinated beef included) a person would need to make 108 of these to train through Master Expert. However, if the person made all of the components (mainly the marinated beef), he would only have to make 68 for the same training. This could make a huge difference in ones leveling plans.
