Hi all,
I am so happy to see that there is still a huge demand for this plugin. I'm sorry I've not been very active lately in keeping it up-to-date but I literally can't access the game anymore on my current laptop. I should have a new one next month so with any luck I'll be more frequently able to log in. With regards to getting the new item IDs, you can get those using the item scanner in Tulkas. I know it's a bit of a beast of a plugin, but if it helps then it's there if you have no other way. Thanks so much to everyone who has helped keep this running, and I promise I will be back soon. |

Two things...
1) Thank you all for the help on my troubles...deleting the data files under the master folder, worked and all problems are fixed. (Now I just have to go into each and every character and re-click on the pets I own on that character to reset the drop-down)
2) On the use of a generic set of IDs for the hounds...The trouble that got my files messed up in the first place, was when I tried to use the generic IDs and you have the actual generic item...the program gets confused. Oh, it loaded fine with the generic IDs, but messed up the data files. The program can not figure out what is the real item and what is the dummy/new items. I/we need an ID reader to be able to get the true IDs... and you need the items and tomes to get the IDs...make sure you read the tome ID before you use the tome. The couple of people that I know have a make-shift reader, do not have the items to read the IDs from. |

Okay, I deleted the plugin, rebooted and re-installed the clean version.
Here is the problem, it works for all characters on Landy, including my beorning, Beeornfree... all but the character Beeornfree on Gladden, and my only character, Beeornfree, on Evernight. Thought maybe it might be the new items, but only my Evernight character has got those, so that is not the problem. Thought maybe it was the fact that I have the same character name across 3 servers, but it used to work before I tried to add the 6 new pets. Also, I have the same character (Xanthorr) on 2 servers with the same name, and they both load fine. I thought the plugin didn't care what server or what character name, but something is causing the problem...only thing I can think of, is the actual pets I own on the characters...but again, it used to work fine and the characters on Gladden and Landy have not changed or added pets in several months. So now totally lost,, as why it will not load, with that same error message, on only a couple of characters/servers. Really need some major help. --------------------------------------------------------------- Also, to use that debugging/trace code, where would i place it? grrrrrr.....
After some playing around, now I can't get the plugin to work...I even went back and downloaded an older version, and it still wont work. At a loss here...this is the error message I get no matter what version I load...
...s Online\Plugins\GaluhadPlugins\Pets\Windows\Bar.lua :63: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value) THis is that particular line: local petName = _PETSTRINGS[petID][1]; I can't figure out what or why this is not working...as it occurs even in a brand new download. I can do updates if someone gives me the item IDs. I tried using generic IDs, which worked to show up in the plugin, but does not summon the pet as the generic IDs are not generic but linked to the skill.
I have posted in the Lotro forum, but no reply yet. I have also talked to a person that has an ID reader, but does not have the items to get the IDs from. If someone has a reader and can give me a copy of, them I can look up the IDs and update the program. Do not use the addons from Sucamarto as it will give errors and render the plugin useless---or at least it did for me.
