B.G.M Mini Toolbar M
Version 1.0(10-07-2011)

This should be extracted to your desktop.

Quote:
This version can be used for B.G.M v4.3 and v5.0(when available).

Your probably asking your self, why is this V1.0? and what M stands for?

Didn't you already have a mini mod out there?

Answers is yes I had a mini toolbar mod but that mod only made the buttons invisible but was still active.

You couldn't put quickslot bars side of the main bar cause you accidentally would push the menu buttons.

This mod get rid of those buttons entirely,so now you can actually put quickslots on the side of the main bar
with out worry about hitting the menu buttons.

So this why is version 1,since its brand new with new codes that are brought from RoI.

The M stands for Movable version of my mini toolbar and to separate this version from my other mini toolbar version.

Basically if you know how to modify the codes you can move the main bar either side of your screen,so its (M)ovable unlike my other mods.

There's two buttons on the main bar,the main menu button is located left side of the xp bar.

"One button to rule them all and bind them"

That button rules all the menu buttons, you can access everything from it from char sheets, wallets, skirmishes etc etc.

On the right side of the xp bar is the store button for those like spending on the Turbine store for quick access.

Look at the pic.

Each folder steps will contain instructions for each steps, please read everything.

NOTE:
Using this mod has a side effect,a known bug that has plaque us from the start.

When you play the game in full screen and change the resolution to a different size or windows mode,
the main toolbar will be out of place from the current position.

To fix this you will have to relog the game.

This is out of my control, there's really nothing to prevent this happening.

Please continue to "Step 1"

and thank you for downloading my mods for this past years and voting and fav it.

Thanks to everybody in lotrointerfaces for hosting my mods and everybody who has helped me in the past. :-)

Minibar

This has been my favorite skin. But...I just upgraded to Windows 8 64bit. I don't know if that's the problem. When I use red, green or blue they work fine. When I add the minibar it doesn't show correctly. There are 2 black bars where the quickslots are. And they do nothing. They don't move. I can't add anything to them. It has worked fine for a couple of years.

I love this skin. It has almost everything I wanted from a new skin. Though, I wish your focus meter graphic were about double or triple the height they are now. They are a little difficult to see with bars stacked above them. Or the very heavy shading on the top portion could be removed. It' just blends in too well I'm afraid

Problems

I included your Minitoolbar as XSm Resolutions to my UI.

The first Problem i found is that when i fix the additional Bars on Stadard Place the Toolbar is 22 px to left on all your Resolutions. I Changed this to that i need.
After this i tried to manage the Look of the Toolbars on low Resolutions and Change the Options of them to 80%. Now i had a new Problem. When i Change the High in % the normal Toolbar is moved to the Right and the fixed additional Actionbars to the Left so they apear all displaced. This seem to apear in UIs that have Code for moved Toolbars.

Like I said earlier this week, I got it working fine. but after logging on over the next few days I noticed the quickslots moving right back to where they were before I used the minibar.. and today the minibar itself had moved about an inch to the right on my screen. I have no idea why it is doing this so I am going to drop the minibar for now.

Astaldor: Edit#3

Quote:
I am doing fine until I get to Step 4 and I find the instructions are not very clear. I don't need to change the fervor or focus bars so that isn't my problem..

It says:
Now choose what width resolution you need.
Each folder will contain codes that you will need to paste to B.G.M skindefinition file.

I am using a 1280x1024 resolution so I chose the 1280. but I am confused as to where I am supposed to paste the contents of the file.. Anyone have any ideas?

I pasted it at the top right above the UISkin_TraitPanel_Window but when I log into the game the skin is bugged and it has 3 of the bars on the screen even after re-logging and restarting the client.
The 1280,I'll check and see whats up,Im also got PM about it but wasnt sure which resolution it was.

Edit#2:
Okay,I jsut checked and everything seems fine on my end.

About where to paste the code for the 1280,sorry I did mention it but I forgot to re mention it on step 4.

The instructions are in step 3
Quote:
Make sure when you paste any codes, you must paste them anywhere after the first few lines or after this lines:
<opt>
<SkinName Name="B.G.M Blue-V5.0"></SkinName>
<!--By: Brygard2007-->

After this code lines is safe to paste any codes when needed.

Close the skindefinition file and save the changes.

Go to "Step 4" folder.
With that mention, this how should look like in the skindefintion file, pic:

Also, can you post a pic to see whats the problem are?

This will help me narrow it down.

Edit#3
I think I see whats confusing to understand the instruction on step 4.

Each folder in this case the 1280 has a file, open the file and you select all the codes(highlight it) and copy those code and you paste them to the B.G.M skindefintiion file.

The skindeifnition file must be open with note pad and then you paste the code that you copy from the 1280 file.

I assume this what is confusing some people,I'm sorry about this.

I have the chat box stretched to a different size than the default not sure if its bigger or smaller, would that be the problem? Though I wouldn't really call it a problem I'm not bothered buy changing something manually to fit my needs.

Fully quitting the game isn't an issue, I always make sure to quit the game before I add a new skin, and I make sure to relog after I apply one in game.
No,I just use the chat box that's on the left side and stretch it to the side of the mainbar hitting the first grey border.

Once I do that I remove a chat tab from the left and it will be the same size and then I move it to the right side of the main toolbar.

I do this to see if it lines up side of the toolbar on the right,if it does means the toolbar is centered.

But if the code that your using for works then ok.

The way I measure from the toolbar might be different from what your measuring it,either way it seems you have it where you wanted to be so its ok then.

The way I claim that the toolbar is center is using the chat box on both size and see how close it touch the toolbar outer skin borders.

As far as I know and I tested it,742 is indeed the correct code to center it for 1912x1046,here's a pic.

I'm guessing you didn't exit the game completely,if you log out back to character screen and log back in then that doesn't work.

Everyone must exit the game completely for the code to work.

I had a bit of a problem adjusting the bar's position with this addon, I play in windowed mode on a 1080p monitor so the actual width I play at is 1912px. I did the calculation in step 4, 1912 / 2 - 214 = 742 , so I set X as 742 on line 19 of the skin definition, It wasn't centered properly for whatever reason so I tried another number 738, just at random more or less...

anyways I compared the normal 1080p number for X(746) to 738 is photoshop and counted how many pixels I had to move it over, the number I came up with for a width of 1912 was 764, which as far as I know isn't right, but oh well it works now ^_^

X = 738
X = 746

Comparison of the two

Downloaded, installed, tested - does the job very well, thank you!

Only downside is that it covers up part of the XP bar when active (or mouse-over) but that's really an incredibly minor thing... I'm loving it and I'll use it on all my characters and recommend friends to do the same!

Thumbs up Addon:Mini attack button released by request.

Quote:
Ahhh... ok, thank you for that clarification. I really don't want another UI element cluttering up my screen, if I can avoid using it. So I'll just stick to this version - no extra items needed. Many thanks
Good news ,I just released a patch or addon for the mini attack button.

After re reading your post I figure a different route to make it which basically what you wanted minus the animation indicator.

Link:

Edit:
Sorry when I first read your post I kinda speed reading it cause was busy with other stuff but when I had more releaxing time I re read it.

BTW thanks for the comments!

Currently you only move it on top of your quickslots, not beside it.

If you only want visual indicator then look for this code:
<Element ID="ViolentModeIndicator" X="0" Y="10" Width="1" Height="1"> </Element> <!-- Attack animation button only-->

Change the to X="0" (zero) and Y="10" and width to 63 and height to 63.

The X= will move the animation indicator far left on top of button 1, if you add more value say 50 it will move it to right side or middle of the screen part.

The Y= will move it up and down depend the value, currently is setting very upward add more value to bring it down side.

The width and the height re enable the visual animation, thats the size it is and cant be changed.

If you wanted the visual animation to the actual side of the main bar then I have to make another mainbar edit with a more width added to it which in this case 65pixels more.

I release patch later so you can have the animation indicator to be put on the side of the mainbar.

Absolutely smashing! And for my Hunter, I played around with the TGA files for the focus bar... made it so it shows in 3 colours: Red when 0-3 focus, Blue when 4-6, Green when 7-9. Helps me greatly in quickly recognising where I'm at exactly!

I have one tiny comment, or suggestion perhaps. The only thing I'm missing now is visual confirmation of whether I'm in combat or not, since that big circular thingy is now gone. I already thought of a good solution to that though... would it be possible to add that same glowing effect for when in-combat... to the menu buttons? I mean the small buttons on the bottom, at either end of the XP bar. Those seem to be ideally suited for it, and that would eliminate the need to add to what is a wonderfully minimalistic bar!

Thanks either way, cause this is already my most favouritest UI mod of all time
