Heya,

Trying this one out as I plan crafting for alts - so it's easier to see their info without relogging.

I've gone through all my keybinds and have no conflicts of the Left Alt at all, but I can't move it (the same with FoodAndDrink).

It is possible to add a second way to move the button? say Ctrl+Left Button?

I'm not sure why some people can move the button but others can't but I've tried various ways of dealing with this. Can I help you test something?

Hello! I am enjoying your plug-in, however I have run into an issue that I'm not sure if you have already created a solution for it.

I have characters of the same name on multiple servers and when I open the next server, it overwrites the previous character's information. I tried using the notepad function, put in the server name, and clicked "Validate the changes" in case it would make the character unique in some way, but it is still overwriting the same-named characters.

Very promising plugin, thank you!
I planned to replace my old AltInventory plugin but I noticed AltHolic does not display vault and shared storage until I open them in game.
So in fact I can't see other characters vault at all (I see empty window with "you need to open your safe to view what's inside" message).
Is this normal behaviour of this plugin or something doesn't work in my case?
For the record: in other plugin I can see other vaults and shared storage right away after login, since plugin build and saves these data from previous in game openings (of course it's not always accurate especially when playing also on other computer without plugin but it helps a lot nevertheless).
Also why in search window it won't find anything if I type for example skarn but it finds Skarn? I see in help: if you don't capitalize it searches in all objects.
But it doesn't? Or do I understand it wrong (I'm not native)?
PS For some characters when I click on their vault button no window is opening and I get following message in chat: ...s Online\Plugins\Homeopatix\AltHolic\UIShowVault.lua :24: bad argument #1 to 'pairs' (table expected, got nil)

Hello it is normal because the addon is not ment to be multiserver an options for your probleme is to do a small update in the file LoadAndSave.lua

evry where you see Turbine.DataScope.Account
change it to
Turbine.DataScope.Server

and that should solve your probleme

use notepad to do it

do ctrl + h

on the first line write Turbine.DataScope.Account
on the second line write Turbine.DataScope.Server

and click on replace all

let me know if that works for you

The LUA API does not allow to load datas for a character that is not connected, so you have to connect the character first and then open the bag and vault to save the datas, then it will be available on the other characters...


The search window search by objects name... exact objects names if an objects as a capitalize character at the beggining you have to write it exactely like that if search for something else, may be you do not need to capitalize the first letter, have a few try and let me know...

That error is comming because it could not load the datas of the character, because it was not previously saved
try the step of the answer of your first question and that should solved your probleme,

Of course I did that, I know how it works in other plugin that do the same...
For example even if I have only 1 character. I load it and can't see shared storage or vault. I go and open them in game. Ok, I can see them in plugin now too. Then I close Lotro, open it later and I still can't see vault/shared storage of the same character on the same computer. I must go open them in game again to see them in plugin.

No, I have to type starting with capital letter. I need to look closely whether that word start with capital letter or not. I just not understand what means description in help I cited. I can live with that, not big problem. Although it would be easier to not have to type capital letters. Pretty sure it works that way in AltInventory.

Maybe in these cases I did not logout properly so it does not display vault at all (instead of empty window which is still useless).
From what you said I understand it should display other character vaults. So in my case it doesn't. Any other ideas what to check?

the epic book tool is broken.

I completed it with a first toon, but since then i cant do anything with it, from that same toon or any others. I keep getting this : "... Online\Plugins\Homeopatix\AltHolic\UIShowEpique.lu a:108: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)".

If you close Lotro or log out Lotro it save all the loaded datas into files
May be because of writing rights of the folder it can not save the files or something like that, because every thing is working fine

if you go in \Documents\The Lord of the Rings Online\PluginData\<Your account name>\AllServers

you should see 11 files starting with AltHolic_ if not, that means that you have a plobleme of writing rights on that folder

i am doing the same thing to get datas has doiing AltInventory written by Garan, but i am not saving the datas in the same folder has him and maybe the probleme is comming from that point

Yes, I see 11 files there and I have full rights to all files and folders since I'm an admin and it's my own user folder. I would have to specifically remove rights to them manually, that would be very stupid
However, specifically *sharedstorage* and *vaults* files are almost empty there except headers or player names whereas for example *wallet* or *bags* files are quite big, like 150-300kB size. So it looks like these data aren't saved for some reason, other than file rights though...

No idea which plugin could do something like that but I do auto load like 5 or 6. Maybe I'll try to deactivate all other and see what happens...

try to activate the verbose mode in the options then you see in the chat when the vault or the sharedstorage is saved, depending on how many slots are used in the vault or in the sharedstorage, it may take a few seconds

Thanks a lot for this plugin, very helpful and works as intended. It is just a pity that the stats for equipment cannot be displayed, and have to be put in manually, but I guess this is a general problem...

Anyway, the one issue I have is that the first character I loaded the plug-in for (actually he has the same name as my user name here in the Forum, Martinuil, who is also my main char), is mentioned as female in the information panel of your plugin. Not a super big deal, but any reason for that, or could that be changed?
