Size Change?

I LOVE this plugin...exactly what I was looking for!

Now, is it possible to change the size of the bars? Not the number of slots, but the actual size of the whole item?

Sadly, not yet. All the functionality is built in - behind the scenes - but we can't yet resize the icons.

New API

There is a new updated copy of the API and Turbine libraries posted at:

http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...mples-updated!

Trying BevyoBars-3.1b using the new libraries results in no errors (in fact there "Bevy O' Bars version 3.1b by MrJackdaw - enjoy!" message appears in chat); but no bars display. Ctrl+\ shows no BevyOBars windows. Reverted to my own edited copy and they work again.

Oh for pete's sake... why are these errors not happening for me even if I use the new libraries?

I feel like packing it all in!

And yes, I keep forgetting to change the welcome message.

In other news, I think I have sussed out some bar locking code that actually works *fingers crossed)

Right, I have re-uploaded without using the SVN *and* included the Turbine libraries I downloaded.

I tried this on a fresh install with no other plugins loaded, and it worked just fine.

Of course, you need the Dragbar...

Backed up my Plugins folder then created a new, empty Plugins folder. Extracted the Turbine libraries posted the other day, installed BevyOBars dated 12/4/10, installed [Class] DragBar with Examples 1.3a-All dated 12/5/10; loaded into game. /plugins list shows BevyOBars (3.1b) present. /plugins load BevyOBars reports:
"Bevy O' Bars version by MrJackdaw - enjoy!
Loaded plugin "BevyOBars"."

No bars appear on screen.

I wonder if, for some odd reason, the windows are staying hidden in your version? I will change the libs and re-upload to see if that fixes it, but won't have the time till tomorrow (probably) now. Sorry Valdacil!

You could do the edit yourself; go to the libs folder and change;

self :SetVisible ( options.visible or 1 )

to

self :SetVisible ( true )

Actually... looking at that it is a pretty stupid line of code as originally written... I must have been half asleep...

Same effect; plugin loads, no errors, no bars visible.

*Headscratch* Well... no way I can test it till tonight at the earliest. Is anyone else out there seeing the same bug?

EDIT: Made myself a little late for work to check it out. Still no problems at this end, even when working on a fresh fresh install! I *am* beginning to run out of ideas... None of these are meant in a patronising or awkward way, so please take them as me trying to figure out what is wrong!
  • Have you got the latest version of Turbine Utilities (linked above) EDIT: Blast you say you do in your post...
  • Try the newest version of Dragbar - it has been updated now EDIT: And this - I must learn to read...
  • You are in the US, right?

I am at a complete loss? The default is for the bars just to appear top left... *Irritated* You don't live somewhere near Lancaster do you? I want to come around and have a look!

Genuinely - I have no idea what else to try.

I know - if I send you my email address could you email me the contents of your plugins and plugindata folders?

Right, now I know what I did!

Anyone with an old save will find it does not work currently - I am working on a fix *now*

I introduced the Bevy Hider and messed around with the save file *ages* ago on my system, but waited to release - got caught up with other things and then forgot.

I am so, so sorry!

EDIT: Fix uploaded and should be available soon.

I apologise so much for this bug - Thank you so much to Valdacil for finding it and sticking with it when it could have gone so wrong! I have named the new version after you... *Grimaces as he really does hope it works!*

I have only had a short amount of testing time - I am very busy at work again - this half hour I have robbed is all I could spare!

Thanks so much Valdacil!

Yeah same thing. I'm assuming 3.1c is the new version with the fix. I'll check it

Confirmed working with existing characters with existing PluginData on version 3.1Valdacil. I'm sorry I didn't think to dig into the PluginData and run a file comparison sooner... could have saved us both some headaches.

No, no, no - I am sorry I made such a stupid mistake! Glad it was a quick fix in the end.

NOTE: Bevu Hider is a beta-beta plugin for this plugin and there is an error. After enabling the hider you will need to reload BevyBars for it to work.

So since resizing is NOT properly supported in LUA for quickslots is there any part of your code I could manually edit to increase the size of the quickslots? Not on the fly but just set it bigger and be done with it. There is no mention of them even working on a resize ability so i think this is my only option... is it an option?
