Introduction
This is a plugin for editors of
LOTRO-Wiki who need to know precise locations in order to accurately place markers onto maps. With this plugin, you can find your current coordinates to the hundredths place (e.g. 105.12S instead of 105.1S).
For an example of where you might need this plugin, see
this.
Installation and Startup
To install:
- First, unzip the archive. You will get a folder called "Thurallor". Move this folder into your Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/Plugins folder. (If you have not previously installed any plugins, you will have to first create the Plugins folder.)
- Or if you prefer, you may use Plugin Compendium to do the installation.
To load the plugin, use the game's built-in Plugin Manager. This can be found in the "^" menu, at the bottom of the screen. Click the

icon, then choose "System" and then "Plugin Manager".
When the Plugin Manager opens, find Precise Coordinates in the list on the left side, then click "Load" to load the plugin. If you would like the plugin to load automatically each time you login, choose your character's name in the "Automatically Load For" pulldown menu.
How to Use
After loading the plugin, simply issue the "/loc" command in the chat window. Your precise coordinates will be shown in the chat window (in the Standard channel).
If you are going to be taking lots of coordinates, you may wish to create a shortcut in your quickslot bar. To do so, you can enter the command "/shortcut 1 /loc". The shortcut will be created in the leftmost slot of your main toolbar, and then you can move it wherever you like. Hotkey assignments can be changed in the Options Panel, on the Key Mapping page.
