Exclamation Version 1.6

I've added quite a bit with this update. Thanks to magill, I've been able to add all the stable locations in Lothlorien and Mirkwood. I don't have the travel times for these locations, so routing has been disabled for these zones. Now all known locations except for boats and seasonal stable masters have been added.

I've also added a Not Visited flag for each stable (thanks to stromboul for the idea). When set, flagged locations will display in red in listings and they will not be used when finding a route.

Thumbs up translation to different languages

A++++ to the idea of this plugin!

Would you mind to outsource the english terms like stable names and gui-names to some kind of xml-file? Im willing to help on translating it to german :-)

Feature-Request:
Also consider some kind of char-dependent setting-window (like TonicBars on the Settings-Tab), where the players can adjust settings like Reputation they have on the specific fraction, which will be saved somewhere at an update-resistant directory :-)

The idea of adding the costs as discounted rates where also the reputation flows in, as well as other factors like /position and how far we are away from the next stable, or how long we should walk to get to a better stable is wonderful. Settings like reputation and silver-costs etc. are only changing this cost-value then.
Then you can implement a clean Dijkstra (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Dijkstra%27s_algorithm#Pseudocode) over it *g*

Also mind the Returning Skills in the options one can buy in the shop nowadays: Teleporting directly e.g. to Bree, or Thorins Hall once in the hour!
You called it TravelRef, so dont get stuck on horses

And afterall one can call it Middlearth-Navigator

I'm glad you like my plugin. For translating it, most of the names are stored in the TR_Data file.

The settings in the Travel Requirements window are already saved on a per character basis and I've added a Travel Discounts window, but haven't fully implemented it yet.

I've thought about adding a command for finding the nearest stable, but plugins have no way of determining the current location, so it would have to be added manually. I've also thought about adding support for the "Return to", "Guide to" and "Muster in" skills as well as "Map Home", but I haven't decided yet if it would be worth the effort.

Recently, much of my time has been spent on creating a new Reputation Reference plugin: http://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...nfo.php?id=535

Exclamation Version 1.7

With this update I've implemented the travel discounts of 10% that are received when achieving friend reputation with various factions. There is a new Travel Discounts window where you can set your standing with each faction on a per character basis.

Note: I haven't achieved friend standing with all factions yet, so I haven't been able to verify the discounts for all locations. I'll update these as I get new data.

LOTRO update 2 changes

While checking out the update 2 changes, I noticed that there have been some undocumented changes in the travel discounts, i.e., Oatbarton now has a Mathom Society discount!

I'll be checking several of the other stable locations and post an update soon to reflect these changes.

Even better: There are new destinations added too!

Exclamation Version 1.7.2

With LOTRO update 2, Evendim has gained 2 new stable locations, 2 new boat docks and several new swift travel destinations! As there are now 4 boat dock and they are no longer restricted to VIP, I've decided to add them also. There may also be destination changes for other zones, but I wanted to get the new additions out asap. If I find more changes I'll add them later.

Also, after making a 2nd account for a mule character, I noticed that some swift travel destinations are restricted to current or former subscribers. I've decided that this is a significant restriction for free players and have added support for it in TR. This restriction isn't visible to premium or VIP players, so I've only been able to check a few locations so far on my new free account and I've hidden this restriction in TR unless a player unchecks the box for having met the requirement so that there will be less clutter for players not interested in it.

I've added a few more ST destinations that I've found since the update and I've added a new command to find the nearest stable to a location. This will give you the direct line distance, not the actual path length that you may have to travel to get to it due to obstacles.

Route cost error

I've found that when calculating a multiple step route with several alternatives, sometimes the wrong cost value is displayed. I haven't tracked down the logic error yet, but I'll post an update when its fixed.

While investigating a routing error, I found that some significant ST values were missing, so I spent a day adding as many as my highest character was qualified to use. I also found a couple of data values that had a typo in the label.

The normal destination displays will now show more travel times and the Find Route should now display better and more accurate choices.

Thanks, I'll add it.

Update: Its odd how I had to revisit both locations before it showed up and the ST was only in one direction...

Would be nice a new window with a countdown clock for travels. To see how many seconds left till the end of ride.

While its an interesting idea, TR can't detect your interaction with the stable master, so you'd have to select your location and destination in TR and then click a start-timer button at the same time as you clicked the button to start traveling. Until Turbine provides Lua with a way to at least detect your current location, I don't think its worth the effort.

Yes. I found that to be true with all of the Evendim updates.

I had to visit King's Crossing First, before it would show up in Tininduar... pretty much as expected. But then had to visit Oatbarton before the ST would show up. Same as with Brockenborings. Then the ST shows up in both directions.

Exclamation Version 1.9

This update adds some swift travel times and a checkbox option to swap Start and End locations on a Find Route. I also finally found an obscure logic bug in find route that would sometimes not display the best values on a longer routes with multiple paths.

The new checkbox allows you to set an End location instead of a Start location and then check multiple start locations so that you can compare your current location route to using a recall location. You can also toggle the check and do a Find to check the reverse route in case you want to return.
