Introduction
Deed Tracker is designed to help you keep track of your completed deeds. (Or, if you're like me, which deeds you haven't done yet.)
Unlike the in-game Deed Log, Deed Tracker will show you every deed for every tab on every page, whether you've started it or not. No more wondering if an area has hidden deeds! Deeds are presented in a hierarchical tree, and a built-in search bar makes finding a specific deed very fast.
Each time you complete something, Deed Tracker checks to see if it was a deed. If it was, it checks it off for you!
Deed Tracker provides a quick way to see where you can find more LOTRO Points and Virtue XP, and gives progress at the tab, page, and overall level.
Ever complete multiple deeds at once and get frustrated that the game only remembers the last deed you completed? The Completion Window tracks them as long as you want, provides a button to send your completion to a chat channel of your choice, and you can produce a short summary.
Want a way to see which deeds your other characters have completed? Deed Tracker lets you see Deed Tracker status for each of your characters on that server with a handy character selection dropdown.
Due to limitations in the LOTRO scripting interface, Deed Tracker cannot tell which deeds you have already completed. Don't let that stop you, though! By default, when you complete a deed (for example, Slayer of Bree-land), Deed Tracker will automatically mark all prerequisite deeds complete. This works when you manually check deeds off, too! Alternatively, you can use the LOTRO Companion to export your character data from LOTRO. Click here for a step-by-step guide.
Language support: - Automatic deed-completion detection is supported for English, French, and German.
- Deed names, lore, and objectives are available in English, French, and German.
- The Deed Tracker UI is mostly translated for German.
- The Deed Tracker UI has not yet been translated for French. (If you are a fluent French speaker and would like to help, please let me know!)

- Unlike the in-game Deed Log, Deed Tracker cannot tell how far along you are on a deed. Deed Tracker is meant to be a companion to the in-game Deed Log, to serve as an easy way to guide your deeding.
- There are numerous, identically-named deeds in LOTRO (for instance: warg-slayer). When you complete one of these, Deed Tracker will try to determine which one it was based on your location. If it cannot, it will display a window asking you to select the correct one.
Installation and Startup
To install:
- Unzip the downloaded Deed Tracker archive. You will get a folder called "CubePlugins". Move this folder into your Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/Plugins folder.
- Or if you prefer, you may use Plugin Compendium to do the installation.
To load the plugin, use the game's built-in Plugin Manager. This can be found in the "^" menu, at the bottom of the screen. Click the  icon, then choose "System" and then "Plugin Manager". (As a shortcut, you can also type "/plugins manager" in your chat window.)
When the Plugin Manager opens, find Deed Tracker in the list on the left side. Click "Load" to load the plugin. If you would like the plugin to load automatically each time you login, choose your character's name in the "Automatically Load For" pulldown menu.
Known Issues- When "Hide completed deeds" is on, when there are two categories in a row, the first category is treated as empty and hidden incorrectly.
- When "Hide completed deeds" is on, when a tab doesn't have any eligible deeds (see Allegiances for a character < 110), the progress bar is blue.
- Deed Tracker does not currently know which landscape region each instance "belongs" to, so if you complete a landscape deed while in an instance, the disambiguation window doesn't highlight the most likely one.

For me as a completionist it is like "heaven on earth" :-)
Do you plan to release your Plugin in different laguages ? (GER ?)
I could help with translations or what ever...

Thank you! Source control says the first commit was October 31, 2020, and here we are just 509 commits later.  It's been a bit of an obsession.

Thank you, and I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it.
At the moment, Deed Tracker expects every deed to have a unique name (example: Slayer of Bree-land) because I wrote it based on an English-speaking perspective. As far as I can tell, though, in both French and German some deeds are conjugated based on the gender of the character (German: Bezwinger des Breelandes (male) or Bezwingerin des Breelandes (female), and French: Exterminateur du Pays de Bree (male) or Exterminatrice du Pays de Bree (female)).
I will have to change some things under the covers to account for this, and then I hope to support English, French, and German. Thank you for your kind offer! |

That would really be great, if you could realize that.
I play the game since beta and with every single character i always try to complete all the deeds.
I used a self created excel sheet which was in many aspects not optimal.
I will have a look here from time to time to follow this post. Hopefully you get it work !

While it is true that Deed Tracker cannot currently determine which deeds you completed before you started using it, it can auto-detect when you complete deeds going forward.
The easiest use-case is to start using Deed Tracker with a new character, ensuring it stays in-sync from the very beginning, but filling in already-completed deeds is fast because when a deed is marked complete, Deed Tracker will auto-complete all pre-requisite deeds. (For instance, mark "Deeds of the Shire" complete (manually or by finishing it), and Deed Tracker will auto-complete all pre-requisite deeds. For the Shire, that's all of them.)
Additionally, even if you don't use Deed Tracker to track deeds, it offers a few other features you might find useful: - The in-game Deed Log doesn't show you deeds you haven't started yet, and never shows hidden deeds until they're completed. Deed Tracker shows both.
- The in-game Deed Log sorts things by category and then alphabetically. I find it difficult to find a deed in the deed log because of this. Deed Tracker shows them in a hierarchical fashion, showing clearly which deeds must be completed before others.
- The in-game Deed Log doesn't show you lore for uncompleted items, and doesn't tell you where to find location-based objectives. Deed Tracker provides the lore right away, and integrates with the Waypoint plugin if you want to speed up finding those deed objectives. (See the second image above.)
If your character has a lot of deeds done already, then marking them complete in Deed Tracker is a daunting task. (There's over 2500 currently-available deeds for a level 130!) I hope to make it even easier in the future, but until then, if none of these other features are appealing to you then this may not be the plugin for you.

Hi. How do you click on any waypoints in the list? Whenever I try to move my cursor to them, the box disappears.

Great question! To interact with a tooltip (for example: click it, move it, scroll down to additional content), you must first detach it. (The default Detach Tooltip key is H, but you may have bound it to something else.)
Once you have detached it, you can then click any of the waypoint arrows.

Awesome plugin, thank you.
So as completionist I filled my main character already and spotted some bugs or flaws, unfortunately I don't remember everything. There were some inconsistencies in LP counting in cases where I completed no longer obtainable deeds, but that I hear is already corrected. One thing though which was most annoying was that I had to do 120 clicks for allegiances, whereas I should only click 4 (ie. when I click on level 30 in each of 4 allegiances it should auto complete 1-29 and so on).
Now I'm filling other character deeds and decided I should let you know about bugs right away, so you can improve plugin.
So far I found that in Dunland deeds of Dunland and slayer of Dunland erroneously require all advanced slayer deeds, whereas in this case only basic slayer deeds are required (for example my toon has deeds of Dunland completed while 4 of advanced slayer deeds aren't). Dunland was expansion/region where deeds/slayer/explorer deeds where introduced but it didn't require advanced slayer back then (and they never changed that). Wells of Langflood works the same, but it was by mistake I believe (there wasn't advanced slayer deeds there at all, those were added later).

Yes, I think I have fixed all of the Not Actively Available calculation issues.

Great feedback, thank you! I haven't even started Allegiances on my main, so I didn't think about the annoyance of filling them in. I addressed the internal issue that prevented me from doing this, and fixed this in v1.2.2.

deed tracker :o(
Hello
just installed deed tracker via compendium. Loads okay, I manually recorded a completed deed for my first character, fine. Switched to my second character and did the same thing and it looked okay and I can view my first character okay. However, when I reloaded my second character the completed deed has not been recorded. I tried the same procedure but no luck....any ideas. Also, I can't view my second character's deeds from my first character...any ideas.

Thank you for such a detailed explanation of your problem! I have confirmed that I introduced a bug in v1.2.1 where characters that Deed Tracker didn't already know about aren't registered properly.
I am testing a fix and will release it soon. |
