Exclamation Version 1.10

I've been gradually adding travel times for locations in Lothlorien and Mirkwood but had been waiting for something more significant before I released another update.

I finally moved the required Turbine library routines into a Common folder for all my plugins. This removes the need to install the Turbine libraries, which should simplify things for new users.

Re: Version 1.2

I'm still adding travel times to destinations. I'm sure there are still several typos, so please let me know of any errors you find. Let me know of any features that you would like to see added (find route is going to take a while).
I read that you are adding features to this plugin.

When I read the TR_DATA.lua and saw the comments about the keys used to identify the information about routes I saw some potential problems, maybe you could explain or, if it is really problematic you could fix.

Code:
-- Loc. keys: d=destinations(nil if no stable), z=zone, a=area, l=location
-- Dest. keys: c=cost, s=ST cost, l=min level(+ if ST only), r=requires, t=time
If I understood correctly, the s=ST cost, has the information about swift travel cost. But when you see the mapped rout from Thorin´s Gate to Michel Delving you will see this line

Code:
["Michel Delving"] = { s=1, st=24 }
The st key is not mapped. This is kind of wierd. What it means?

Also, there are routes that are payed with silver coins and others with copper. So, maybe you could put the price on a key and the kind of coin on a second key. What do you think?

The st key is the swift travel time (I just had forgotten to add it to the comment).

All prices are in silver. Fractional values are converted to copper when displayed.

Evendim update

Don't know if you noticed/were told... There are now

Swift Travel High Kings to Oatbarton (and back)
Swift Travel Brokenborings to Oatbarton (and back)
But you have to "re-visit" each location to unlock it!

There is also a new "stop" between Oatbarton and High Kings...
Dwaling.
ST from Oatbarton to Dwaling and back.

Dwaling has travel to:
Oatbarton 10s/50c
High Kings Crossing 10/50
Tinnudir 10/50
OstForod 10/50
ST Oatbarton 17/50
High Kings Crossing 17/50
Tinnudir 17/50
Ost Forod 17/50

Prices are probably all discounted as this toon is Kindred with Wardens of Annuminas

Also at Tinnudir is now ST to Michael Delving and West Bree that I don't remember

Those destinations are already in the current version of TR, but thanks for trying to help.

ROI travel points.

I have begun to create a list of the new locations, etc. for Dunland (et.al)

Now that Turbine has finally disclosed that they ended the NDA on 2 August, when Bullroarer comes back up, I'll begin dumping the info.

(I managed to level a 75 before E&G was closed.)

Thanks. I applied for the beta, but didn't get in.

Exclamation Version 1.11.2

This update address several minor areas. First, all the ST times in Enedwaith are now included. Next, I've fixed the way Ettenmoors is handled by adding a VIP flag to indicate if they should be included.

Lastly, I've fixed the Moria cost calculations so that the rep. of both the Iron Garrison Guards and Miners are considered.

The rep discount in Enedwaith is only partially implemented and I'm still working on the ST times in Mirkwood. As soon as I have access to Isengard, I'll start adding the changes for it.

ROI Information

I just sent you via PM a collection of information about ROI travel gleaned from the Beta.

There are a couple of things that might (hopefully) change, like what region names will be used in the final release (There were still map multiple options at the close of beta), and at least one milepost location -- Isenford -- which was really in Heathfellls.

If Turbine stays with the 3 Region model, the Regions will be Dunland, Gap of Rohan and Nan Curunír (which contains Isengard). None of them integrated with the Map of Eriador during the beta. (i.e. no link from Enedwaith). It could link from the Rhovanion map (I forgot to check that one, duh.) However, there was a "new" "top level" map (which may or may not still be in-game at release) called Dunlanding, which includes all three. Will have to wait until Monday to find out.

Other info simply needs to be verified once ROI is live.

Exclamation RoI expansion

Ok, I've started working on adding the new travel locations, but I'm currently on vacation using my laptop, so it will take at least a couple of weeks or more.

Exclamation Version 1.12

I've added the new locations for the RoI expansion, but I'm still working on adding all the travel times. However, as I'm now back from vacation, I decided that I needed to get what I had added already posted for now.

Unfortunately the current version is broken.

Quote:
MyPlugins\TravelRef\TR_Data.lua:563: unexpected symbol near '}'
figured out this was caused by the missing value for "st" in the line
Quote:
["Lhan Tarren"] = { c=25, t=190, l=65, s=35, st= },
but when i remove the "st=" of fill in any value it still wont load:
Quote:
MyPlugins\TravelRef\TR_Data.lua:1: '=' expected near '»'

Exclamation Version 1.12.1

Oops, I thought I'd already done a final check on this update, but obvious not.
I fixed the syntax error in the data and also found that the level check needed to be updated to 75. I'll be adding more travel times as I progress (the error was due to a half-entered travel value).

Has something gone strange with this over the past couple of days? All of a sudden all I'm getting is 'Invalid Level' when I try to plan a travel route.

[EDIT] It seems to have happened after I leveled to 66. If I set the level to 65 it works fine.

[EDIT] Ignore this. I see that you're already aware of this issue.
